adj. filth·i·er, filth·i·est 1. Covered or smeared with filth; disgustingly dirty. 2. Obscene or offensive. 3. Vile; dirty.
adv. filth·y 1. To an extreme and often disgusting extent.
Newly released from prison after serving a three-year term, Johnathan Marcello just wants to get his head straight, but he's the only one who believes he can do it.
Stepping into her mother's shoes is the very last thing on Catherine Marcello's mind, but it's already too late and she's got her own games to play.
The spotlight wasn't in Andino Marcello's plan, but the Capo might not be given a choice when Cosa Nostra starts looking for la famiglia's next boss.
Being the baby of the family and a good girl is all Lucia Marcello knows, but a little freedom and space could give her the chance to shed those masks.
In the Marcellos, being filthy isn't a birthright, it's earned. A new generation is ready to take their thrones, but it's not that simple.
This family is a legacy and this generation might just be the filthiest yet.
***
PLEASE NOTE: Filthy Marcellos: Legacy is a COMPANION piece to the Marcellos series. It is NOT intended to be a standalone in the series. It is not intended to be a full length story with a formal HEA, but a 20k PREQUEL to a new series featuring the involved characters.
The author of too many novels to count, Bethany-Kris is a Canadian, lover of much, and mother to four sons, a glaring of cats, and a pack of dogs. A small town in Eastern Canada where she was born and raised is where she has always called home. With her boys under her feet, a snuggling cat, barking dogs, and a spouse calling over his shoulder, she is nearly always writing something ... when she can find the time.
Marcellos didn't follow the rules all that well. They were too filthy for that.
Marcellos kids are all grown up and they look amazing
Featuring
Jonathan (Lucian's son) -age:30
With his uncle being the head boss of the family, his other uncle acting as Dante's consigliere, and John's own father being the family underboss, there was no escaping who he was. Mafia. Made. Cosa Nostra.
Catherine (Dante's daughter) -age 25
Catherine Marcello was, and always had been, for as long as she could remember, one of the elite in New York. Some called her family royalty. Others called them a legacy, which afforded her the ability to be in situations with people who had more money than they knew what to do with. Her family's status and last name gave her chance to rub elbows with some of the best of the best. Rich, old money, and celebrity were her games. Some played them well. Club scenes, charity events, exclusive parties, and spoiled little sons and daughters of people who would cry foul if their kids were ever caught up in a scandal. Yeah, Catherine knew her game. She wasn't like Andino's other dealers.
Andino (Gio's son) -age 28
Andino was a Capo-Cosa Nostra came first, always. For him, love and forever didn't factor into that all. Not right now. Maybe someday, but his immediate plans didn't include that nonsense. He had businesses to run, a crew to manage, and money to make. He lived fast. No way in hell was he about to slow that all down for a woman.
Lucia (Lucien's daughter) -age 17
Lucia, being the youngest child out of four siblings, had always been the baby. Her parents seemed to think she needed more attention and care than her oldest siblings simply because there was such a difference in age. Maybe they figured she left out. Lucia never had.
This book is introduction to the new series. I hope she'll write it soon. I wish the book was little bit longer. I loved all of younger Marcello generation, but I would like to know more about Catherine and Cross.
Her first time with a man was Cross. He'd given her five crazy years full of more memories than she cared to count. Her first love was Cross. If she had a checklist handy of things she had done so far in her life, Cross's name would own every mark.
After reading few reviews I saw that I'm not the only one who is fascinated by him. I can't wait to read more from this author.
This was an utterly delicious tease by Bethany-Kris! More Filthy Marcellos, OMG, awesome!!!
In this really quick and engaging novella, a prequel to the Marcellos Legacy series, we get a sneak peek into the lives of the children of Lucian, Dante and Gio. With the children now all grown up and the brothers looking towards retirement, we get a promise of more of the Marcellos with full stories on Johnathan, Andino, Catherine and Lucia.
"Something feels different. Things are beginning to happen."
It's going to be sooo good..I'm so ready!
If you've read the Filthy Marcellos Series, you're not going to want to miss out on this.

BK does it AGAIN with this teaser book! She keeps me sprung on this mafia lifestyle! The new generation of mob royalty is the center of this story featuring four POVs and appearances by all of the Marcello men! Now I can't wait to see what comes next from this new clan of Marcellos!
You have the right to be entertained. Filthy Marcellos: Legacy is a five bullet star read!
For the last couple of days I’ve been wracking my brain trying to come up with the perfect review to explain Filthy Marcello’s Legacy. Guess what... I couldn't do it! Regardless of how perfect the storyline is or how brilliant Bethany-Kris is, you can never fully describe perfection. It's impossible, nothing in this life is perfect. You’ll always find flaws and that’s what you’ll find with Lucian, Giovanni and Dante’s offsprings. No longer children under protective footing, the next generation has emerged with the same intensity and dynamics that makes the Filthy Marcellos so great! As the future generation fulfill their roles, the cracks of imperfections, hidden agendas, and secrets becomes blindly obvious! So let me introduce you to the family, starting with my favorite.
Listen up ladies, Jonathan is mine! Age: 30 Parents: Lucian & Jordyn Marcello Siblings: Lucia, Cella & Liliana Status: Capo Characterized: Unpredictable, distant, standoffish and explosive. Some memories are best forgotten, they can’t be scrubbed away or made clean.
“How close did my father keep me when he let me be carted off to prison for three years?” “You didn't give Lucian a choice. You were running crazy, John, doing stupid shit. The faster you ran, the more frenzied you became. You were refusing to work with your father or the people set up for you. On more than one occasion, you put everyone in terrible situations that could have cost us all a lot.
Age:28 Parents: Giovanni & Kimberlynn Status: Capo Characterized: Sometimes mediator, confessor and if need be, dictator. He’s the in between go to guy. Andino knows how to get the job done and done right.
Andino was a Capo—Cosa Nostra came first, always. For him, love and forever didn’t factor into that at all. Not right now. Maybe someday, but his immediate plans didn’t include that nonsense. He had businesses to run, a crew to manage, and money to make.
Age: 25 Parents: Dante & Catrina Marcello Siblings: Michel Status: Law student and possible queen...what? Characterized: Some will say she’s part saint, and part sinner, but her future isn’t set in stone!
Catherine Marcello was, and always had been, for as long as she could remember, one of the elite in New York. Some called her family royalty. Others called them a legacy, which afforded her the ability to be in situations with people who had more money than they knew what to do with.
Age: 17 Parents: Lucian & Jordyn Marcello Siblings: Jonathan, Cella & Liliana Status: Ready to leave the nest Being the family baby at only seventeen, almost eighteen, meant being babied like one. She needed some breathing room, some time away from her family and room to grow. She knew they didn’t understand, and that they would be hurt by her wanting to leave, so she chose her actions in quieter ways.
Age:26 Parents: Affonso Donati & ? Siblings: ? Status: Capo Characterized: Needing a warning label because your panties will disintegrate and known to cause big Oooo's at glance.
Cross Donati was sex, sin, and hell on two legs. He was arrogant when he wanted to be, difficult on his good days, and sexy as fuck all the times in between.
How can an author write a super short novella about some of my all time favourite characters that just totally works yet leaves me desperate for more? Bethany-Kris just did that with Legacy, she sure knows how to keep me hooked!
The blurb says 81 pages - this covers 4 of the up and coming next generation in the Marcello legacy so really just little snippets of what we can expect - and those 81 pages were genius.
Thank goodness I have Cross and Catherine's trilogy waiting in the wings. 🤗
This one was prequel about new series and I enjoyed it a lot. Here the main characters are Marcello's kids. You remember that babies from Marcello's series?? Now, they are men and women and probably the filthiest generation ever.
We can say that we have four different parts and four different POV. Johnathan, Chatherine, Andino and Lucia.
My favourite was definitely Johnathan.
''Wherever John went, trouble usually followed.''
John is Lucian son, but not in good relationship with his father. He spend three years in prison and what do you think who send him there? Yes, Lucian thought that was best option for his son. You see, John has a little problem. He is bipolar. I'm sucker for them. There is something about bipolar stories that just make me love them.
''"His life was dictated, surrounded, and determined by rules.''
So, I'm most interested in reading his story, because I have feeling it will one of the best Marcello's stories. When I look on Marcello's story and characters there and here, I can free say that in all of them John is my favourite character after Gio.
''''There was no such thing as being a little wet with the mafia. You were either soaked or dry.''
Andino was nice characters and he reminds me a lot of Dante, but on some level I'm scared that will be ''same'' story.
Lucia was boring, but Catharine was okay. Just okay. I would like to read about her, but if she has a bone to go against her father and mother. Than I would like her.
What surprised me most was how the main characters from previous stories looked so different in this one from eyes of their kids - and not in good way.

5 Legacy Stars
What a tasty little snack for what's to come from this author. Bethany-Kris is quite clever in what she delivered with Legacy. This novella gives you a small glimpse of what's to come without leaving you totally out on the edge of that cliff yet still making you hold on for the next round of Marcellos to enter your reading world. Each person highlighted in this novella easily peaked my interest and made me want to learn more about each of their stories. Legacy is fast, fun, and full of surprises. I can't wait until Bethany-Kris gives us more Marcellos to fall in love with.
This was a great little introduction to the next generation of Marcellos. Bethany does really great job of making you want to know more about Johnathan, Catherine, Andino & Lucia!!!! If like me you enjoyed the books about Lucian, Gio and Dante than you will definitely want to give this s try!

Interested to see what’s to come. This is just a prequel for I guess what will be a spin off from the filthy Marcellos. So just four mini prequels imo.
This is a perfect prequel by Bethany-Kris as The Marcello Famiglia continues. The grandkids of Cecelia and Antony Marcello, Johathan, Andino, Catherine and Lucia are all grown up and have their lives to lead. So the legacy continues and it promises to be full of fire. But their parents and grandparents are still here and have voices too. I can’t wait for the Marcello family to continue; after all they have become family to me!!
Read this while reading an arc of Filthy Marcellos-The Complete Collection (less)
It was great to see what became of the children you read about throughout this series. I liked how Johnathon had an issue that had nothing to do with the family business, but is a very real life issue. I'm anxious to finish all of their stories. A new don and what seemes like love stories continuing or starting.
So this prequel was an interesting read getting myself familiar with old and new characters for next installment of books. My stomach is in knots I'm so excited.

Re-read Nov 2020: 5 starssss ah, it such a good prequel for the next generation!!! I’m going through all the first generation series first, so it’s gonna take a little while until I see everybody again. I look forward to it though!!
___ Original rating Sep 2019: 5 stars ⭐️
Holy shittt! What an intro for the next Marcello generation! I’m so excited to read about them all! It makes me nostalgic seeing my favorite boys getting old but it’s part of the journey I know!
Oh, my…Oh, my…She’s at it again, my fellow mafia romance book-loving friends. Though this novella just gives us a taste/introduction of a whole new next generation of Marcellos, you can bet these new characters are going to blow our ever loving, Mafioso loving minds. How could we expect any less? After all, Bethany-Kris, our mafia queen of romantic HEAs, is the master mind behind it all.
Johnny…Johnny…Johnny. I hope it’s OK, I call you that. You and I are going to get along just fine. After all, I do love the strong, silent type, misunderstood Mafioso hero fresh out of prison. Btw, the blonde bombshell you just met on the bus, whose last name also made you do a double take, is likely the one to break through the prison walls you’ve placed around your heart and heal your troubled soul.
Andino, my boy, I’m thinking that little walk in the park just led you down the path to your destiny. Really looking forward to discovering who she is.
Lucia…Lucia…Make that lucky Lucia. I think Ren is going to be the forbidden fruit you are not going to be able to stay away from. He is going to be the apple in your Garden of Eden. Just saying, might as well prepare yourself for that inevitable first bite of passion.
Catherine, my principessa, don’t even think of crossing Cross Donati off your potential soul mate list. It is obvious you two have a lot of unfinished business between you.
By the way, you’re welcome. If you haven’t experienced any or all things deliciously, dangerously Marcellos, I am officially welcoming you to their world. Below I have listed the series in reading order just for you. Delve in. Enjoy each stand-alone HEA. Fortunately for us, Bethany-Kris is not a one hit wonder. Do yourself a favor and also read her “The Chicago War” series and “Russian Guns”. Now, you really should be thanking me for helping you find your next great romantic read.

This is the fourth book in the Filthy Marcellos series by the very talented Bethany-Kris. I love a good Mafia series it's my favorite genre & the Filthy Marcellos series is the best I've ever read. This book is an introduction to an upcoming series about the children of Dante, Lucian & Gio Marcello. John Marcello (Lucian & Jordyn) has just been released from prison after serving 3 years. He suffers from bipolar disorder & during a manic episode he almost shoots his best friend & cousin, Andino. The judge gave him a choice of 3 years in prison or a mental hospital & he choose prison. Now he's out & everyone is on his case & worried about him & he just wants everything to go back to normal. Catherine Marcello (Dante & Catrina) is still in school studying the law but she's not so sure that's what she wants to do. She is more like her Mother the former Queen Pin than anyone knows she is secretly selling a lot of drugs to the young & rich for her cousin Andino. She doesn't want anyone to know because she's afraid her parents will be angry. Andino Marcello (Gio & Kim) loves running his own crew & is very skilled at it. He is shocked when he is told that Lucian is retiring & he will be the new underboss. He will be groomed to take over as "Don" when Dante retires which means he will need a wife. Lucia Marcello (Lucian & Jordyn) is 17 & she is the youngest in the family having just graduated High School. She is tired of her parents smothering her & treating her like a child when she is almost 18. They want her to go to Columbia University so she is close to home but she wants to get as far away as possible. It was very sad to read about Antony not being as strong & virile as he once was. I am really looking forward to reading the Legacy series as this was just a teaser & I'm excited about what's to come.
Marcellos didn't follow the rules all that well. They were far to filthy for that.
Me da mucha rabia.
