The depths of his soul are as black as his eyes. He’s a thief and a murderer. Add kidnapping to the list now that he’s taken me, forced me away from my father’s house in the middle of the night. There’s no room for mercy in his dead heart. He’s driven by purpose, and I keep messing up his plans. So he hates me. He punishes me. He’s my captor, and there’s nothing I can do to change that. But then he’s forced to make a decision—keep me or let someone else have me? He’s still my captor, but also a kind of savior now too. Somehow things have changed between us. I can see it in his eyes. He doesn’t like it, but he can’t stop the motion from going forward. He wants me in a different way, and it’s killing him to give in to his desires. I’m beginning to see that sometimes even a dead heart, even one belonging to Creed, can be revived.

I had no plan of action. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. And on top of it all, my hostage was still around, my opinion of her completely changed. It seemed as though she’d taken me hostage now, and I didn’t know if I could come to terms with how that made me feel. Feelings toward a woman weren’t something I’d expected to deal with. Then again, isn’t that when bonds form, in the most unexpected moments of our lives?

For every heart that beats, there is that other half that beats within someone else. When that other half is found—it is the absolute hardest, most painful thing to have to get up and walk away from. Emotions run wild in this story. Lines become blurred, no longer black and white. This author takes her readers into a world of hardships, where all judgement is muddy at best—sympathy and strength are both prevalent in this novel…but at an extremely unfortunate cost. Zook has a novel that is both emotional and riveting. When one crime is fueled to rectify another—far worse injustice, where does that leave that person? It is up to the eye of the beholder.

Creed is a man determined to make ends meet—he has his mind set that nothing will get in his way when it comes to saving his brother, Micah. Micah has does some bad things…drugs primarily, but that has gotten him in more trouble than anything. When Micah is taken because of the amount of money he owes a very powerful man named Dominic, Creed must obtain the money somehow in order to save his brother from death. Creed’s irrational logic places him in a rich man’s house with a gun, making demands for money. He would have gotten away with it too…if only the rich man’s daughter, Briston, hadn’t walked in on the exchange. Now—his only way out is to take her as a hostage. What is left of Creed’s heart feels like it has shattered into a million pieces as he ties her up and tapes her mouth shut. In the race against time to provide the money in exchange for his brother’s life, a bond is formed between kidnapper and victim. Little does he know that things work in mysterious ways and this woman…could very well be the best thing that has ever happened to him or quite possibly…the worst.

Zook has outstanding character development and this story is very creative. Her style of writing is brilliant, allowing her readers to sympathize with her characters in a way that makes it hard to see the right side of the situation. This author engages her audience with action, romance and emotional heartbreak which will leave you at a loss for words. If you are a reader of crime and romantic suspense, you may want to pick this up.

You ever read a book that captures your all? You can't put it down because it keep drawing you in with all kinds of unanswered questions! I fell in love with the tattooed bad boy Creed. I understand why Briston fell in love with her kidnapper. I always question if it's really love or Stockholm syndrome. This author shows you how in real life situations you can get to know someone and fall in love. Does this explosive couple have a good ending? You'll have to read and find out. I'm still reeling from this intense book. You won't be disappointed in the smoothness of this writer and how uniquely she makes you fall for her characters. I truly wanted this book to be a cliffhanger and I despise cliffhanger books but I just couldn't handle the book being over while I was at 95% done. Yes it's that good. It holds your attention the whole time. * Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood *

Take Me by Sara V. Zook was a great 5 star read.

I’m not even sure where to start with my review.
Briston happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and finds herself being taken by Creed during a robbery at her father's house.

At first you want to hate everything about Creed and than I couldn’t help but hold some anger towards Briston. While in captive we get to see the real Creed and why he robbed Bristons father.
Emptiness filled me--a void. I didn’t even know existed. There was a hole inside me somewhere. It was large and deep. -Briston

I don’t want to say anything more because I don’t want to give this great story away. These two end up with a connection that really tugged at my heart. And there is a scene that had me doing the ugly cry and a little sobbing. The secondary characters added a great element to the story.

Sara V. Zook really pulls you into Briston and Creed’s story and pulls your heart out and stomps on it. I was an emotional wreck when I finished. I am left wondering about Creed and wish that things could have been different and that Briston would have been braver. The ending was totally not what I expected, I was really thrown for a loop. I have no words.
If you want a great quick read I highly suggest you 1-click and get started today.

WHY MUST IT ONLY BE 5 STAR MAX?? THIS BOOK EASILY A 10 IN MY EYES!!

Where do I start with this book?? I have read Sara's books before and loved them but I honestly can say this one takes the top spot! You will not be able to put this book down. I know I was not able to after I started it. You are drawn in more and more with each and every unanswered question.

Who knew falling for the person who kidnapped you could be oh so sexy. Briston and Creed are seriously the most amazing characters I have read in a long time. They will take your heart and your mind and hold it hostage while you are reading this book.

Such a wild and crazy ride you are taken on. Have you ever read a book that you never wanted to end? That you kind of hoped would end with a cliffhanger so you knew you would be getting more of the characters? Yeah neither have I until I was reading this book.

The premise of this book intrigued me it sounded right up my street. Briston is kidnapped by Creed after being in the wrong place when a robbery takes place. At times the dialogue is stilted it's just not how I imagined her speaking it's almost like words are used just to highlight the differences in their social standing. I loved Creed he's doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, it's like he has bad luck charm following him. The first 2/3 of the book really flowed, it was enthralling, full of action emotional and passionate and then boom the last 1/3 just didn't seem to fit it's like a part was missing. I just needed more I needed to know more about Creed. I'm giving it a 3.75 for that reason.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it certainly won't be the last. I really enjoyed it.

Creed ends up kidnapping Briston after a robbery goes wrong. He certainly gets more than he bargained for. His reasons and his past had me hoping he would have a good ending.

I've got to admit the ending shocked me. I'm still not sure about it which certainly is a positive for the author as it has me still thinking about the storyline.

I so wish there's was another few chapters about Creed. Without giving any spoilers I would have liked more of his point of view towards the end.

Great storyline with good solid likeable characters. Will certainly be reading more of this authors books in the future.

Today's coffee was served with the book "Take Me" by Sara V. Zook which is a thrilling novel that explores the complexities of the human heart and the unexpected ways in which we form connections with others. The story follows Creed, a man willing to do anything to save his brother from a dangerous situation, even if it means taking a rich man's daughter as a hostage. As the clock ticks and the stakes get higher, Creed and his captive, Briston, begin to form a bond that blurs the lines between captor and captive.

The captor is forced to make a decision, and he begins to see the young woman in a different light. The novel is filled with unexpected twists and turns, and readers will be left guessing until the very end.

Zook's outstanding character development and brilliant writing style allow readers to sympathize with her characters and see the situation from both sides. The story is full of action, romance, and emotional heartbreak, making it a must-read for fans of crime and romantic suspense. The ending is unexpected and will leave readers at a loss for words. Overall, "Take Me" is a captivating and emotional rollercoaster ride that you won't want to put down.

✯✯5 Creed Size Stars!!!✯✯

Where do I start? This is my first but not last book by Sara V. Zook. I absolutely loved this book. But, OMG the ending had me where I was so mad I cursed a whole lot and they were all directed towards Sara. I thought I had the ending planned out in my head. I mean I saw it perfectly. Well, I felt like I blacked out and woke up on the floor with people surrounding me, and me like "WTF just happened". Because, that's what happened to me when I finished Take Me .

I'm not going to go full blown review here. Briston and Creed deserve to have their story told. But, not by somebody else's POV. It needs to be read by you.

Creed is on a one man mission. Get his brother back and alive. His brother has gotten into trouble with the wrong people. Creed needs money. His plans are to break into the biggest richest customer house and get the money and get out. Nobody get hurt. Then, he gets his brother back.

Things don't go that easy and smoothly. Now, Creed has kidnapped Briston. His plans haven't changed on getting his brother back. At first Creed hides his face. Over time that changes. Briston is a strong, vocal woman. Briston keeps her eyes on her surroundings and her ears open for every conversation. Creed is a scary, big, tattooed guy. But, she just continues asking questions and everything else. Briston is beautiful but she's a spoiled brat use to getting what she wants. She's definitely making Creed's already difficult life that much more difficult.

Briston realizes quickly that there is more to Creed then this guy who took her out of her father's house. She feels bad about his brother. It doesn't help that she'd finding herself more & more attracted to him as the hours pass. When she can't help herself she makes her move. Creed just as shocked but definitely happy about it. With both wishing they met at a different time and a different way. They have fallen for each other.

Briston wanting Creed to see there's another way to fix this. She can handle her father. They can get his brother back. Briston wants it and will do anything. Creed would give anything for that as well. But, all Creed can see is vengeance. Creed won't listen to Briston. Briston will do anything possible to save Creed. She does the only thing that will save his life. Even if both of their lives will never be the same.

I legit read this from start to finish in less then 5 hrs. I couldn't tell you if somebody ran past me on fire that afternoon. I was head down and eyes glued to Creed and Briston. I haven't hated the ending to a book in awhile now. Even though it was coming, I'm mad Creed and Briston didn't end the way I had hoped. Sara V. Zook has a new fan in me. I am hoping she'll write a prologue to this book. I'd love Creed and his brothers story.

Where do I start?? I want to give this book more than 5 stars! Sara went above and beyond with this book, she took my emotions on a ride and then flung me out of the ride at the very end. Briston turns out to be someone I never imagined, an innocent rich girl who has her whole life at her feet, so naive and unwilling. She surprises us, she's a fighter, and when she sets her mind to something she goes for it full force. Not knowing if it's the right thing to do or not. My heart hurt for her but sang a happy song for her at the same time. Briston was a force to be reckoned with. Then there's Creed, oh sexy, on a mission Creed. He never intended for Briston to become a part of his life, whether it was a good or bad thing is debatable. He just needed to get a job done, and then live his life the best way he could. But sometimes things happen, situations arise, and people come into our life for a reason. And that reason could be our downfall or to save ourselves. I won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil anything but when Creed lets his guard down for a moment and looks at Brison the sparks fly, and one of those reasons becomes clear, if only for that moment. The angst, the build up, the desire just fly off the pages and I couldn't read it fast enough. I applaud you Sara, I am bowing down to you as I post this review. I won't get over Creed and Briston's story for quite awhile, sometimes things happen that we can't control and this book, this story, those characters are more than enough proof. I loved every word and I can't wait to read more from your beautiful evil mind!

What a wild and crazy ride this book was! I couldn't wait to see what would happen next as Briston, our heroine, was thrust into the chaos of Creed's life.

When Creed's theft, born out of desperation, is interrupted by Briston, all his plans get shifted and the world twists on its axis for both of them. With preconceived notions and stereotypes about each other, they both clearly loathe each other. Then something major happens between them during a transaction that ruins Creed's desperate plan to save a loved one. Is all hope lost for him? Will Briston suffer the consequences? What will he do with her? How does she react? See what happens as their worlds collide and they get to know each other and how different their lives have been. My heart hurt for Creed...he seemed to have a hopeless and rough life with bad luck that followed him everywhere.

This was a really great read and I became very invested in the characters. So much so, that I really was hoping toward the end for a cliff hanger. I just didn't want it to end, and let me tell you.... the ending is unconventional and had me and my reviewers hot on the horn talking about it!

I did feel that the ending was cut short, lacked the details of how things "went down" and seemed to skate over some things that could have made for a juicy emotional read. So for that to deduct points. This book is not for everyone in my opinion.

If this was a spoiler group page I would have so much more to say! lol But I digress....

If you want a great conversation starter and someone to reel with, pick this up and buddy-read it! I think buddy-reading this one is a must!

This is my first book by this author, but I do have books of the authors on my TBR list. After reading this book though I will be putting her books to the top of my reading list.
This book was spectacular. The story flowed well, it had shocking moments and moments that will also leave you breathless with anticipation and trying to hold back your tears. The suspense and action was spot on and I couldn't put the book down.
The plot was brilliant, but I'm not going to mention anything about it. You definitely need to go in blind with this book, It's not what it seems it's amazing. Knowing anything but small details would ruin the whole book and since I think everyone should read this book I'm not saying much regarding the plot, but I will say a little about Creed!
I hated Creed, I loved Creed, I hated Creed, I fell head over heels for Creed.
He is the dangerous tattooed bad boy who came across hard and heartless. Where in reality he was broken. Following his story was utterly heart breaking. He has had the most tragic life and I wanted him to finally get things going his way and for him to find happiness.
Briston was the girl that I never saw coming. I made assumptions about her as she came from a wealthy family and has had everything she has wanted her whole life. I got her completely wrong though. She has serious fight in her and never backed down, she said what she wanted to say and never pussyfooted around anything, she was a great strong character.
This story was amazing.

Creed believes he has his night completely planned out and that no one will get injured when he robs a house. Little does he plan on grabbing a hostage but when Briston Ellway ends up involved he has little choice but to grab her.

Briston is engaged to Anthony and thinks she has her perfect man but little does she expect Creed to stir parts of her that Anthony never has. As she begins to get Creed to trust her she realizes how much she cares about him and how her life was missing something before.

Yet Creed is hell bent on revenge and Briston may not be enough to stop him.

Wow - this book was absolutely incredible!! There were so many parts that I did not see coming and the end just shocked me completely!

I thought Briston was feisty and way more than Creed bargained for. When he warned her towards the beginning and she didn't listen, I knew something was going to happen and I was so sad with the eventual repercussions to her actions. I felt so bad for Creed, as he knew as well.

Creed is such an enigma as you begin to learn more about him and I truly felt bad for him with what he was going through although he made an epic mistake by kidnapping Briston and robbing her father to begin with. He felt like he was forced into a corner and it was sad that it was not his doing.

This book had so many emotions going for me and the ending completely threw me. I can't wait to read more from this author!

As I began reading this book, I just knew that this was going to be one of those impossible romances. One where they just should never be together, but somehow find a way to get what they need when they need it. This is exactly the direction that Ms. Zook took us in Creed and Briston's story.

I floved Creed! This tattooed bad boy who seemed dangerous turned out to have a softer side to him. His story was tragic and heartbreaking. I found myself rooting for everything to work out in his favor when his life was completely falling apart.

I thought Briston was going to be a typical spoiled rich girl. Boy was I completely wrong. She has guts, and spunk. She was not afraid to say why she was thinking and go after what she wanted.

Creed and Briston's story was filled with suspense and action, romance and heartbreak. It kept me on the edge of my seat.
I am usually a sucker for a HEA, but I had a feeling going into this one that this may not happen. Although I did not necessarily get the ending I was hoping for, I was happily heartbroken over the ending I did get.
A definite 5 stars for Take Me.

Ever read a book that keeps you on the edge till the end then bam in crumbles your heart? Creed I absolutely loved him yes he kidnapped Briston and stole money from her father but wouldn't you steal a ton of money to get back your brother from drug crooks? Briston very strong girl and sees the side of Creed no one else does. Creed has had a real messed up life but all he wants is to be happy with his brother but something happens and now Creed wants revenge. Will Briston show him that her love is worth more? Will Creed finally be able to see that love is worth no revenge? Ok I loved this book till the end. I'm sitting here very angry right now and gutted. I would have given this book 10 stars but I hate the ending so much I threw my kindle. I know all books don't have happy endings but this was way worse. 4/5 stars Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads - ARC provided for a honest review ***

This was my first time reading this author’s work but not my last. The story was full of unexpected moments that touched your heart and some that made you want to scream at the characters. Its begins with a robbery turned to kidnapping and everything that can go wrong does. Creed comes from a rough past and uses the robbery as a means to help his brother. Creed was not expecting Brighton to become part of the deal but he discovers that she is definitely the best part. Now if he can prove his worth to her and himself before time runs out. This was a fast paced story that kept you guessing at what obstacle would pop up next. Great characters but I was not a fan of Brighton at first but she grew on me. I liked everything about this story except the ending. That kind of threw me but overall it is a good story.

What the hell did I just read?? OMG! I've got no words. I'm not sure how I'm even supposed to feel after finishing this one. But I'm feeling sad. A bit heartbroken. But also relieved and just a bit nostalgic. Guess you gotta read this one to really understand!

It didn't go as I planned and it certainly didn't end anyway near how I figured! Bravo Sara. You absolutely captivated me with this one. All I can say is it reminded me of Captive In The Dark and Titanic! Lol weird comparison but true!

I hated Creed but fell in love with him. I adored Briston from the start! Great characters, pretty great story but a heart wrenching sad ending. No, I didn't cry. But I do feel sad and now want to hug the world! Lol

I am having a hard time with this review because I am speechless with how “Take Me” ended. I don’t know how I feel about the ending of this book. This is Briston’s story as far as I am concerned. My heart goes out to Creed. I can’t say more because I don’t want to give away any part of this book. I knew in my heart how “Take Me” would end while reading it. I think if an author can make you go speechless they have accomplished a goal. Sara V. Zook you definitely had me sucked into this book and now I feel like I may have a reading hangover.

Thrown together by chance, ripped apart by life!

Sara has a way of writing, that draws you in, like you lived the story. This is definitely a must read. With all the highs and lows that will keep you reading straight through to the end.

Sometimes people do bad things for the right reason. Honestly, what would you do to save a family members life? Creed needs money to save his brother. Little does he know his plans are about to be changed, when the daughter of the man he's robbing walks in. Now he has to decide how far he's willing to go, and give up, for his brother.

Omg Sara blew me away with this story on Creed and Briston.
it was so much more than I expected. it's full of angst, so much suspense, I couldn't put it down. love the characters too. I mean what's not to love about a woman falling for her captor right?!?

Creed is a big bearded man who isn't so nice, he's done very bad things. however you can't help but love him.

Briston is actually a kickass chic I love her and her strength.
I can't say anymore you will have to read it but this woman is one of my favorite out of strong female characters.

get the book it's phenomenal

Well I'm completely speechless, a little devastated, a little in awe, and I could really use a hug right now. Being a fan of Sara V Zook might be dangerous for my health, I should of been more prepared. While I am cussing her up one side and down the other right now, I cannot deny that this was a fantastic read.

I should of been more prepared. I keep repeating that statement over and over in my head.

Once you start Take Me you will not be able to put it down. It will consume you.

I struggle with reviewing this book, because I don't want to fill it with spoilers. But I just don't understand the point of this book. In the end I was just angry.... Angry that while the author attempted to make a resolution, there really wasn't any. I guess my main issues were with plot points and character development. I wanted to like Briston, but in the end, I just didn't. I know that some people will love this book, but I'm one of those people that like to see growth in characters and unfortunately this book had none of that.

First of I want to thank Sara Zook for such a wonderful book. When I started reading the book at first I thought wow. Her writing is smooth and has you where she wants you right from the beginning.
I fell in love with Creed even tho he was the captor. Briston was something else but what she did to him was wrong but right at the same time she saved his life. The only thing that I can say is that I wish there was more!!!!

I was drawn into this book so much it was hard to put down. We see that people will do extreme things in desperate times. What we will do when our backs are against the wall with no other options in sight.

The ending threw me for a loop. It didn't turn out how I thought, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. This is definitely worth reading though with all the twists, turns, suspense and passion thrown in.

This was a very good read and I liked that I thought I knew how things were going to go in this novel and it did not go the way I thought it was going to go. Wow! What a book. It captivated me right from the start... and couldn't stop until I got to the end!

What a rollercoaster of a book. It's intense, sexy, dangerous-- but has characters who will capture your attention until the very end!

You'll fall in love with this unique story. You'll fall for the characters and your heart will sting a bit too.... What an ending...

5 stars from me.

I was really excited to read this book and it had been sitting in my wishlist for a while when I finally took a chance and got it. While the story was good and had some interesting plot twists, I was mostly left disappointed with how it all ended. I can't really say too much without spoiling the book but just let me say that a certain thing Briston does near the end of the book makes no sense to me at all...and after she had already made a huge error in judgement earlier on by not trusting Creed...well it just made her look foolish and completely undid everything wonderful that happened before that.
I'll let other readers make their own decision whether they liked the book or not, but for me it fell short and when an ending completely makes all the actions leading up to it almost pointless...there you have it for why I was upset after investing myself in the story and characters.
