Overall, I give this book 4 Stars just for Story 1 by Aubrey Cara. I loved it and it made the whole collection worth the read. This collection of stories will appeal to the readers who like a darker relationship and mild BDSM. If I had liked mean Alphas, I would have enjoyed the rest of the stories more, but that's not what I like personally. This is why book one appealed to me most. The alphas were Dominant but protective and only punished with harmless spanking. Also, I love the cover! ARC provided by NetGalley.

"Taking Their Human by Aubrey Cara"

Zapex captured, altered and enslaved human men that go by the name of Monrok. Monrok are the Zapex's Warriors. Zapex has decided to steal human women to breed with the Monrok for future soldiers. This story follows Allison, kidnapped and given aphrodisiacs to mate with twin Minrok brothers, Cal and Kien. With the lead of Cal and Kien, they have motivated all Monrok to rebel against the Zapex for their freedom. Now that they have mated with Allison, they steal her away and join the other Monrok to hide on a new planet. This is a short novella with a mfm relationship, slight bondage, spanking and very Alpha Monrok men.

I enjoyed this first story. It's well written and the twin Monrok men were Dominant but protective of Allison. I give it 4 stars.

"Pallid Slave by Alta Hensley"

Unin twins carry life forces that diminish when one twin dies. The surviving twin becomes a Pallid slave. Truth lost her twin sister Trinity in battle. Cross and Pike are transporting Truth to her new assignment as a slave. Cross is the twin of good and Pike, the twin of evil. Pike feels no emotion and relishes in his dominance over Truth but Truth finds a way past his barriers. Pike and Cross must decide if they can deliver Truth as a slave or save her. This is a short novella with a mfm relationship with choking, whipping, spanking and one dominant male and one omega male.

This story wasn't easy for me to connect too. Pike was too emotionally detached and just plain cruel for my tastes. He wasn't even protective until the very end which did redeem himself, but just barely. I give this story 3 stars.

"His Human Slave by Renee Rose"

Zander is from Zandian and is the prince of a planet-less race. He is working hard to prepare for war to reclaim their home planet. Lamira is a human, daughter of a famous soldier. Her mother was captured when she was pregnant with Lamira and has hidden their true identities with the Ocretions. She has a gift that would cause her and her mothers death if revealed. Zanders people wish to have him breed before he goes off to war to insure the continuation of his race. His physician has found Lamira to be the most compatible to breed. Zander is less than thrilled since humans are looked upon as the lowest of race. He sees them as weak and prone to deception. This has spanking, restraints, caging and an Alpha male.

This story was the reason I wanted to read this series. I am a fan of Renee Rose's work. I hate to admit that this story was a bit disappointing to me. I was not a complete fan of Zander. Lamira IS a slave, but he accused her of lying too many times and punished her for things she didn't do. This story would have been a 4.5 star for me if he had treated her a bit better. Instead , I'm rating it 3.5 Stars.

"Their Captive Mate by Kallista Dane"

Ron and Ryn are twins from Cephaia, bonded to their mate Zara. They can see, feel and communicate as one. While Ron and Ryn are out hunting, human pirates break into their home, rape and kill Zara. When the twins search for the Pirates, they run into Cass. Cass is the captain to the ship Luna that was taken over by the Pirates. When Cass tried to warn the Cephaia's of the Pirates, she is too late and now the twins believe she is one of them. Ron and Ryn will do whatever they can to get Cass to talk but they are angry that they are bonding to her in the process. This is a short novella with a mfm relationship, spankng and two Alpha males.

This was well written, but was just ok for me. I'm not a fan of reading my H's pining for another woman when they are with the h. They also started out their treatment of Cass cruelly since they thought she was part of the Pirates. For this I rate this story 3 stars.

"Kenan's Mate by Sue Lyndon"

Laylah just graduated from High School and her aunt gifted her a vacation on the newly discovered Planet Tallia. Their is no other intelligent life form on Tallia according to the government. Unfortunately, Layla learns her government lied about many things concerning Tallia. Kenan, Prince of the Kleaxian race is one of the many soldiers who shot down the human ship. He finds Laylah near death and claims her as his own. Laylah will soon learn the females of this race are treated much different than on earth.

Good writing, started out thinking it was another cruel Alpha to learn he is only trying to protect her. There is slapping of her face, a beating with a belt and spanking before he starts treating her better. I give this 3 Stars.

What joy it is to read a collection of five books, all of which are my all time favorite sub genre - erotic sci/fi capture fantasy! Each of the five selections are full novels or novellas without cliffhangers.

5 stars His Human Slave, by Renee Rose is my favorite of the five stories - which is almost always the case if she is part of an anthology. Renee has a style of writing and character development that work well for me, and this story is no exception. She also writes the most delicious spanking scenes, whether they're given for pleasure or punishment. This story is a bit darker than Ms. Rose's usual, but has bits of humor that were really delightful.

I liked both Lamira and Zander, although I really enjoyed Daneth (who provides touches of comic relief as he studies and tries to explain humans to Zander) and Seke as supporting characters as well. I'm sure there are many differences, but this story brought to mind Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. It's such a classic set up, and didn't we all want Mr. Darcy to put Elizabeth over his knee? Zander considers himself and his people to be far superior to humans and believes them to be unintelligent and deceitful. Lamira isn't predisposed to think kindly of Zandians after being ripped away from her mother without any thought to her needs or feelings. She really is treated pretty badly at first, but things between Zander and Lamira come around to a very satisfying conclusion.

Even better, it looks like Lamira's sister Lily has her story coming up next!

3+ stars Kenan's Mate, by Sue Lyndon is my next favorite, and I really hope there will be more stories written about this world. Given how Kenan and Laylah's relationship began, I couldn't imagine how they would get a satisfying HEA, but by the time the story concluded I was happy to see them together.

My only real complaint is not having Kenan's point of view. Because of the first person narrative, we are only given Laylah's POV. Although I felt sorry for Laylah, her actions didn't always make sense - particularly the way she kept testing Kenan despite her great fear of him. In general, I also prefer heroines that are older than 18.

3+ stars Taking Their Human, by Aubrey Cara
I enjoyed this story almost as much as Kenan's Mate, although it wasn't a particularly unique plot. In fact it reminded me of a story written by Kaitlyn O'Connor which I read several years ago (but can't remember the title of) where both the hero(s) and heroine are captives of an evil race that wants to breed them. It's a good set up though, and makes it easier to enjoy the developing relationship.

The story got a bit convoluted towards the end, with a few things added in what felt like a haphazard manner, but the ultimate HEA was satisfying.

3 stars Their Captive Mate, by Kallista Dane
This story was good, but didn't draw me in quite as much as I would have liked, although I did like the heroine, Cass, and really felt for her. I think it was the way the time line of the story jumped around. I had a hard time figuring out what happened when in a few instances. It did have a fabulous and most satisfying comeuppance for the bad guys though - I loved that!

2 stars Pallid Slave, by Alta Hensley
After reading a few stories written by Ms. Hensley, I've come to the conclusion that her writing style isn't one I enjoy. I often feel her characters act in inconsistent and/or illogical ways, and the dialog often has me rolling my eyes or completely baffled as to meaning. This story was no exception. It was based on a very interesting idea, but the execution didn't really work for me. First there simply wasn't enough world building for me to understand what was going on. If this was part of a series (which I didn't see evidence of), that might have made more sense, but as it is I felt like it started in the middle. The main sticking point for me is why did lifeblood twins have so little care for those who had lost their twin and were forced into slavery - pallid slaves. Why would Cross and Pike - mainly Pike - treat the pallid slaves they transported so cruelly? These and other questions were never really answered and, ultimately, I couldn't believe Truth would forgive Pike for what he had done, and Cross for not stopping him. Once Truth was left on Canary, to live a life that was no life at all, there was no way Pike or Cross were redeemable to my way of thinking. And their reason for leaving her on Canary didn't make any sense at all. Life with them was no kind of life, but living with the constant risk of mutating into, or being eaten by, flesh eating monsters was preferable?!? I also could have done without the graphically gruesome scene when Truth tries to outrun the monsters. Ick!

Frankly, the story was rather ridiculous, but I did think the twist at the end regarding lifeblood twins was creative.

A collection of Sci-fi Alien Romance novellas. Sign me up! I've been on a weird Sci-Fi romance binge so I'm happy to find new material. These were more of the forced seduction with heavy spanking/BDSM elements mixed in. Some stories were better than others. If you don't like a "strong hand" or slightly rapey scenes, this book is NOT for you.


3 1/2 stars - Taking Their Human, by Aubrey Cara

This was a sci-fi MFM story. It was a bit forced seduction. Not always my thing but I just went with it. The story was interesting and I was intrigued. The relationship between H/h/H is a bit intense and harsh at times but it worked for this particular story.


2 stars - Pallid Slave, by Alta Hensley

This one was confusing. Not the story line but the emotions that were flying around. The idea of LifeBlood twins and Pallid slaves was interesting. But, the struggle with Truth, the heroine and Pike (mean twin) and Cross (good twin) was just meh. I found Pike to be VERY unnerving. There's a fine line between for forced seduction to work and Pike went over that line and couldn't come back from it, in my opinion. The ending was weird and left me feeling odd about the entire book. I understand the author's purpose of it but I just didn't like it.


4 stars - His Human Slave, by Renee Rose

This one was my favorite. Maybe because it was longer than the others so it expanded on the story line but I seriously enjoyed this one. It ran the same theme as the others, sci-fi forced seduction. And there were times that Zander (the H) was a bit extreme in his punishments but the difference was you saw his feelings and sometimes his deep regret. Lamira (the h) was feisty but not to a fault. The chemistry between the two was off the charts. The only downside was it ended slightly with a cliffhanger and I can't find on the author's profile if the second book/novella is in the works.


2 stars - Their Captive Mate, by Kallista Dane

This one was just all over the place. No seriously. I felt like the author couldn't quite decide what she wanted so she threw the whole lot into the mix. Furthermore, there was a lot of time hoping going on that just added more confusion to the story. It made it hard to invest in this relationship with it being all disorderly and fumbled.


1 star - Kenan's Mate, by Sue Lyndon

Well, I can honestly say I felt like I was reading a personal encounter with extreme domestic violence and domestic rape with this one. There was no "forced seduction" which is a fine line between rape most of the time. It was just a nasty and brutal beating and violation that wore Layla down. I think the ending was suppose to be sweet and make up for the entire story but it didn't. The whole thing was past the point of no return. I trudged on just to finish this book.

"Human Surrender" takes on the most extreme of dark erotica in science fiction settings and delivers 5 compelling tales of unlikely love. Be aware that every one of the novellas has sometimes disturbing moments of non-consensual or dubious-consensual acts. Romance ensues, but begins under terrifying circumstances.
- "Taking Their Human" by Aubrey Cara: I found myself fascinated by the Monrok slaves and their limited camaraderie within their own ranks as contrasted by the tight relationship between the brothers. The roller-coaster of emotions as slaves are forced to interact is chillingly horrifying as well as hauntingly beautiful. I defy you not to cheer for the three of them as they attempt to carve out a future together.
- "Pallid Slave" by Alta Hensley: Perhaps the most uplifting of the novellas, and definitely the most consensual of the romances, the underlying sci-fi themes of a person's worth and the elements of oppression that arise after galaxy-wide wars are just as fascinating as the actions of the characters. Amazing world-building for such a short piece!
- "His Human Slave" by Renee Rose: While Lamira is the nominal slave, I think an argument can be made for Zander being as much an unwilling slave to the situation the two find themselves in together. This is easily the most romantic of the stories, albeit with a very dark non-con BDSM flavor.
- "Their Captive Mate" by Kallista Dane: This was the hardest of the novellas for me to read, as the non-con torture was definitely turned up to high. While the love did happen eventually, in my opinion the brothers owe their mate several life-times worth of romantic gestures by the end. Having said that, who can resist a story about space pirates?
- "Kenan’s Mate" by Sue Lyndon: The classic sci-fi themes of half-human hybrids and alien experimentation drive the underlying currents the protagonists sail. The hard BDSM elements are both central and almost negligible to the romance itself. Of all the heroes in the set, I think Kenan is easily the most in love with his captive from the beginning, yet his early interactions with Laylah are undeniably inhuman.

As the description states, all the novellas are complete stand-alone stories. However, like any good sci-fi, they are all rich enough to have plenty of room for sequels. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope to see either single releases or (cross-my-fingers) a sequel box-set.

This story... Wow. I loved it. And the kink!
After finishing, I went directly to the author's Amazon page and tbr'd all her books. I didn't see any more from this series, but THERE MUST BE MORE. I want more, please!
The super hot story of Allyson, Cal, and Kein concludes nicely and I adored all three characters immensely. Allyson was, of course, scared out of her mind after being abducted by aliens, but her rational and common sense allowed her to recognize who the true enemies vs. allies were.
I would love to read more of the Monrok Warriors as they tame some captured earth females and battle the Zapex for liberation.
My second absolute fave was His Human Slave by Renee Rose. I'm already a fan of this author, so I expected to like it, but I Loooved it!
The story introduces us to the exiled Zandians. Their sexy warrior Prince Zander, finds it necessary to have a human. As little as he thinks of the race, a sweet and feisty slave named Lamira proves him wrong - on so many things.
Their relationship is steamy, loving, and crazy hot in its tones of master/slave and kink.
While their story wraps up, the world created is left wide open, and I cannot wait to devour more of the Zandians - and hopefully catch an additional scene or two of lovely Zander and Lamira.
This was an excellent assortment of scifi kinky romance I highly recommend.

Overall these were some great reads.
Each story had its own special quality that made it so much better. I loved the dynamics between the characters and even though each human started out as a slave of some sort they wasted no time when it came to making their men beg for mercy and for their ever lasting love.
Each story was a bit twisted in its own way and there was definitely a lot of BDSM characteristics in this book and there was a lot of pain so if you dont like that then this is definitely not the book for you. But if you like your men dominant through and through. Maybe a little menage and a bit of bondage then this book will definitely rock your world.

Alta never disappoints in her books. Be prepared with some tissues in this book. It does tug at the heart strings. It turn it does have some wicked hot scenes in it as well. Alta wrote this to where I didn’t want to put it down and I want to know what else happened.

OMG! Renee sets this one on fire!!! Zander is a Prince that is hot as hell! Lamira is a spitfire that I can relate to in many ways. She hooks you in this one and doesn’t let you go. I’m so glad this has a series with it and can’t wait to read more of it. It’s intense and has some seriously hot sex and spanking scenes. Geez!

This was an interesting story. The timeline is a bit confusing, but overall a very good story. I love Ryn and Rom. The twins are out for revenge for their fallen loved one, Zara and come across Cass, who is strong willed and beautiful. They think she is the enemy and learn differently. I love the collaboration and how the story unfolds. Then wraps up nicely, it ends up beautifully.

Sue didn’t disappoint with her Kleaxians and Laylah! Wow! Kenan and Laylah are awesome in this story. You fall in love with them and then there is Hessag, that I absolutely fell in love with too. Oh feel like you feel every emotion that Laylah is goin through. Ripped from her life and thrown into this new world. Sue did an awesome job writing this story and would love to see more about it. Awesome!

This book is a recent reread of mine; and, I've actually read 3 out of 5 stories in their expanded separately published versions, as well as, two more times in this anthology. The stories are kinky, explicit and have discipline and submission as key themes. This collection represents the very best in the erotic science fiction romance niche.

These stories aren't for shrinking violets. They're rough, raw, and uncompromising, letting the alien-ness of aliens, accommodate behaviors that would never be accepted on Earth. There is steam upon steam, but content warning: dubious consent and rougher expressions of bonding, are the rule here.

Sue Lyndon: Kenan’s Mate
Laylah is rescued from a cruise liner space ship and claimed by a human hybrid male. He is VERY controlling and “discipline” oriented.
I liked the story line, and I actually appreciated that the leading lady, Laylah, reacted more like an 18 year old probably would in that situation. The story held my interest because the author was able to help us get into the mind of Laylah. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant, however, I’m not really into the spanking thing. Kenan was too much of a BDSM master for my taste in erotica.


Kallista Dane: Their Captive Mate
Rom and Ryn are Cephaia warriors whose mate was horribly raped and killed by marauding Earther pirates. They seek revenge and take Cass captive, thinking she is part of the pirate crew. The story skips ahead – so it shows us some time down the “road” with the 3 of them, but then backtracks to explain. I understand that some authors use this to set up suspense, but to be honest, this aggravated me. I didn’t understand the purpose, and thought, “WTF?” when it jumped ahead like that. As with all of the stories in this anthology, we get some BDSM going on. Some was pretty kinky, but generally the psychology of the characters was missing something.

Renee Rose: His Human Slave
Zander needs to procreate to save his dwindling species (who were run off from their planet). His medical officer finds a human female who is supposed to be some kind of genetic match. Neither are very happy about the situation. While the BDSM stuff doesn’t do much for me, it seemed to work with this couple who are essentially fighting their attraction to one another. Their relationship gradually builds and actually is kind of a sweet story. I would read more by this author.

Alta Hensley: Pallid Slave
Truth becomes a slave after her twin dies in battle. She was once blue and her twin pink, now Truth is pale white and is now considered useless and a slave. She is a soldier and tough as nails but meets her match when the twins, sweet Cross and harsh Pike, are tasked with sending her to a mining planet to be a “canary.” They are rough with her but she forms a bond anyway. The story is kind of sad yet heartwarming. I liked that it wasn’t completely predictably, and a lot happens in the novella-length story.

Aubrey Cara: Monrok Warriors: Taking Their Human
As goofy or trite as the title sounds, this was actually a very engaging story. It’s rough and dark in places, kinky and sweet in others. I’m bummed I’m not seeing more titles like this from the author on Amazon.

1) Aubrey Cara (Taking Their Human), it's awesome! And panty-wetting hot, I would love to read more of her books.
2) Alta Hensley (Pallid Slave) - the writing is obviously good, but the story is not to my taste at all, and I also feel that the somber nature of the story does not match the sex scenes at all. Skimmed through 90% of it.
3) Renee Rose (His Human Slave) - Zander is an alien prince intent on reclaiming his own planet, Lamira is a human with psychic abilities. She is deemed the perfect mate for Zander to breed, so that Zander's species would not be extinct. It was very well-written, well-developed and steamy hot! I absolutely love it!
4) Kallista Dane (Their Captive Mate) - Ryn and Rom are identical twins, after a horrible tragedy involving their mate, they are set on a course of revenge. It is during this course they met Cass, who is a Commander of a ship and who eventually helped them to accomplish their mission. This one has emotional depth, and very detailed description of the alien worlds and spacecrafts (if you're into that sort of things). But I feel the connection developed between Cass and the twins is not properly done, and the ending is rather rushed.
5) Sue Lyndon (Kenan's Mate) - this story is about Laylah being abducted into an alien planet and became Kenan's mate. I find the story more or less a dissertation on domestic discipline and the difference on human females and alien culture - which by the way, bored me to death. So I skimmed through it, and call it quits.

If I were basing this review solely on my dislike of its brutality, I would give it one star. But, that would not be fair to the authors. I am sure there are people who enjoy books that objectify and brutalize women, but I am not one of them. I find the punishing and beating of women for sexual gratification disgusting and unfathomable. A little kink? Ok. But this goes far beyond that.
While the stories were sexy, they're a little too violent for my taste.
But, my personal feelings aside, I thought the characters were well developed and the plots intriguing. I would have liked to see the women stand up for themselves a little more. They each seem strong in the beginning, then soon become wishy washy weaklings.
Even given my obvious distaste for this hardcore genre, I finished each novella to give my honest opinion. I realize it sort of defeats the purpose of the stories, but I would have liked to see one of these women tell their alpha male to piss off and stick to their guns! The males are very closed minded, arrogant and selfish. Only one male seemed to have any conscience or remorse for beating a woman.
I gave it 3 stars.

I was given a copy of this book as an ARC for an honest review. I have to say, when I first got the book, I wasn't real sure about it, because I've never read alien romance before. Extraterrestrial love was never on the top of any of my lists before! But I was familiar with several of the authors and loved their other books, so I was curious enough to give it a try, and boy am I glad I did!
These were some awesome stories! Hot, kinky, dominant, a little dark on some of them, but oh so good!! After reading these stories, I won't hesitate to even read more like them. In fact, I'm going to be anxiously waiting to hear more on some of these stories! I think my favorite in the book was Renee Rose's His Human Slave....loved it!! I can't wait to read more about Prince Zander and Lamira!
So yes, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a little kink or a little spanking, and alot of hot dominant males in their romance reads!! 5+++ Stars!!

This was a spectacular boxset of five Dark Sci-Fi Alien Romance Novellas that I have ever seen and read by far. My boundaries have been pushed, my arousal shot through the roof. Causing my kindle to burn up. Boundaries were pushed, punishment given (hard at times), non-consent, dubious consent, hard loving, and much much more and I loved it. Each novella brought a new world sucking me in right away to the characters lives and situations around them as though I was there not wanting anything to end. Each author had their own writing style and I couldn’t ask for more from each and every one. With some of my favorite authors in the bunch, I was in writer’s heaven. With only one author that was new to me I’ll be adding her to my favorite list today. Don’t miss out of these five wonderful novellas that all are five-star ratings. I highly recommended this book and all five authors.

So far I have read one story, His Human Slave by Renee Rose. This novella Is about Lamira, a human, who was chosen for breeding to Zander. Zander is a Zandian, a race where all the breeding age females are extinct. Lamira was the best genetic match found for Zander and much to his dismay, a human. But, listening to his advisers he takes her and makes her into his sex slave. She is not easy to tame and he cannot tell when she is telling the truth. It is necessary for her to be punished until she becomes submissive to him. He finds out, strangely, that not only does he enjoy dispensing the punishment but she enjoys it as well. This story is very well written and steamy. I look forward to experiencing the other stories by the different authors.

What a great box set! Truly, if you are looking for some wonderful, steamy stuff with dark sci-fi themed romance then look no further. Five fantastic, well written novellas, each with their own species of smoking hot aliens, and enough heat to melt snow. If you are looking for wine and roses and sweet romantic gestures...this is not it, this is so much more...whew! After I finished every novella all I could think was....please don't let it end there...grrrr... I want to read some more!! So, my ultimate wish upon an alien star is that there will be a box set number 2 with a continuation of each of these stories. Not too much to ask, is it? I bet the other readers and reviewers would agree with me :) Click, buy and enjoy! You'll be happy you did!

So many stories that had my heart just a thumping, with both a bit of dread and maybe a whole lot of excitement. I loved that these stories weren't so dark that I felt like it was abuse but dark enough to make me tremble and want what was coming...well most of the time. (Wink)

Each story was sexy, dark, and yes, tempting. I loved that each one was seductive and definitely mind boggling and oh so good. Sure there were moments I might of been nervous, but hey, its dark romances we are talking about. But I definitely liked them all.

Human Surrender is a superb, five story collection of alien romances. These stories are varying shades of dark with bdsm elements, spanking, and dubious or non-consent but every single one is a gripping read that I couldn't put down, even the one or two that made me really uncomfortable. Despite the distressing beginning, each story is a love story with a great happy ending. These amazing authors have outdone themselves in this awesome collection.

A varied selection of alien slaver and conquest stories. All with some level of BDSM

Had a great read from some of my favourite authors and one or two disappointing ones as well.

The idea of being breeder fodder is not new, but I liked the way all the authors took you into the mind of the alien slavers.

Even better were the stories where the h is not an Earther!

Only one teensy weeny gripe: I do wish some of the h had a bit more bite to them than the old oh-my-I've-been-taken-by-slavers-oh-what-SHALL-I-do? What-is-to-become-of-me-Mr-Darceee?? vibe. They should know by now...

Not what I hoped it would be.

Not quite what I was expecting. I really had high hopes for this book, especially with all the high ratings. This was also my first reading by any of these authors. I thought each of the stories had the potential to be really really good, but was ultimately ruined by too much sex. I found myself over stimulated by all the sex, to the point I started to get numb with boredom. I eventually just sped read through the book, just so I could finish it. And because of that, I cannot recommend this book.

I loved this collection of dark alien romances. From elaborate world building, to smoking hot alpha male aliens this set offers up a lot to love. I have no idea how these authors make aliens of various colors sound so freaking hot, but somehow they manage. I have only had a chance to read a couple of stories from the collection, but all have been worthy of five stars. I can’t wait to continue on with this collection.

Dark Romance? More like Abuse

I like reading sci fi romances, especially with dominant men. Maybe even a little spanking. I also enjoy reading dark romances. But all these stories bordered on abuse and rape. I don't find that sexy, or a nice story. Nothing was consensual in these stories, at least first. I normally love all these authors. I thought this would have been a great anthology. I wish I could get my money back. My advice is not to buy this.

Sexy, Hot, and Aliens

This anthology deserves every superlative adjective possible for the exceptionally talented authors that brought us these novellas. Although a bit darker than usual, you simply do not want to put it down. In fact,"Where is the follow-up book?" I want more! If you like your stories a little darker, this book contain something for everyone. I received an ARC copy of this anthology in exchange for an honest opinion.

I'm giving this four stars for the two stories I really really loved, and the other story that I liked. I loved the first and third story, and liked the fifth one. It's not that the second and fourth stories were bad, they just didn't work for me, or at least not as well when compared to the others.

I also desperately need a sequel to the Renee Rose story, and according to her FB page, there should be one in the future!
