Sara Love knew all about dream lovers--they were the only kind she'd allowed herself while devoting all her energy to her career. But living behind walls had its dangers--you had to worry that someone would scale them when you weren't looking! Her partner Charlie Sanderson-he of the sapphire blue eyes and wicked sense of humor--teased her outrageously, but the tickling fingers and casual touches barely disguised his true feelings for the woman who made flannel nightgowns seem sexier than skimpy silk! Afraid of complicating her life, Sara succumbed to Charlie's tempting caresses only in her fantasies... until the night her good-time Charlie declared a loving war--with no quarter given to the lady whose heart he longed to capture for keeps!

"Charlie, your jockey shorts are in my bureau drawer next to my panties. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"They look kind of cute together, don't they?" With his hands on her hips he pulled her across the desk and into his lap, along with assorted papers and the telephone wire. Against her lips he said, "I always knew my shorts belonged next to your panties."

"Makin' Whoopee" is the story of Sara and Charlie.

The book has business partners finally acknowledging their feelings for each others. For two years, the hero has teased the heroine, and she has longed for him- while both dated other people. Things take a turn when their emotions get too strong to deny.
I think the highlight of this book is the super charming, hilarious and high on life hero. He totally made me (and the heroine) laugh and chuckle throughout, and it was so refreshing to read a non- brooding and non- arrogant lead. The heroine was confused, smitten and strong.

The hero definitely stole the book, and even though the story is pretty average, I'd rate it purely for him. There is some baby related angst in the last half, but it all ends in a HEA.

"Charlie, I know this may seem like a stupid question, but did you just hit me with a dinner roll?"

"It was probably a poltergeist," he said, glancing around the room nervously. "I've always thought there was something strange about this house."

The h is very lucky to have the H in this one as she needs some therapy.
They meet at adulting school where they are both doing real estate courses. The H clearly falls for the h from the start but she friend zones him and enjoy a business partnership together.
Both are dating other peeps and she avoids seeing the H as potential mate material.
H grabs his chance while he can though when they look at buying a house together as an investment.
h mucks it up in the end though as she is incredibly insecure. She thinks she’s completely thick and is only hood at business because of the H and working 47 times as hard as anyone else. Therefore she can’t get married or have children as it will distract her and make her lose her game.
H calls her out on her BS though and she comes crawling back.
