I am not sure what happened, but this fourth book of the Angel Pack series kind of stalled for me. I am going out on a limb and saying it was all me and not the book…and probably has more to do with the BDSM aspects and magical moments and the fact that I am not a huge fan of either. I love the shifters, love all the guys, and I love this world the author created. I still enjoyed all the moments with all the characters from the first three books, and I am still super excited to read on, so I will just accept that 3 out of 4 is not bad.
Raith is in heaven that both of his little mates love being his “boys”. Fortunately, this was just a scene that played out in the bedroom or the club, because I think the others in the pack would be all over him otherwise. Those guys are not shy about roughing the feathers of their family members…it’s all in love but they will rib you to death, especially Taylor. There were also some hardcore moments, but they were short and tempered so most readers will easily be able to read through the darker moments.
I am mostly looking forward to reading about Dante and Dale…I know it’s coming up as a side series, and I am okay with that. I just hope that those who read it have read this series first. I can’t imagine how they could possibly relate to this world without reading Angel Pack first. So, as I’ve said in past reviews, read this series. It’s fast, it’s good, and for the most part, a fun series, and I one I highly recommend.
This story was fantastic, and the three main characters, Raith, Aaron, and Rory, had many hurdles to get through. They save their third mate, Rory, from an evil, totally psychopathical, Dom, who was really sick and did more damage to poor Rory than is ever realized in the beginning. The plot was intense but also compelling, with a war also breaking out that affects all paranormals. Some of the characters ended up finding safety with Micah's pack. I am curious to know what happens next. There are many things that go on in this book that I can't even begin to summarize or give justice to, but it's definitely an incredible series. =)
Rating: 3.5 stars Another good book in the series. I love all the characters; I just felt a slight disconnect between the three mc’s. So while I enjoyed it, it just wasn’t as good as the first two in the series.
Truth by Maggie Walsh is the fourth book in the Angel pack series. This series must be read in order. There are a lot of people we know and love who are revisited in this book, as well as new characters introduced. Raith Angel is the Angel pack enforcer. He kills the bad guys, the threats to the pack. He is very good and proud of the job he does. He is compassionate, kind, and fiercely loyal. Aaron Collins is from Storm’s pack. He is an ocelot. Storm’s brother. He is uptight, pampas, and a lot prickly when we meet him. We find out why, and that reason makes me love Aaron all the more. He has kindness, caring and needs love more than even he knows. Rory a human who is the third mate to these two. He is in an abusive relationship with his dom. Raith and Aaron show him what love really is. Fiercely loyal to those he loves this little guy will do whatever it takes to protect Aaron and Raith even if it means he will no longer be with them. I liked how each character in this book really adds something to the trio. They each have a piece of the puzzle the other needs. Together they make an unstoppable team. The bdsm elements make this book really more intense and loving. We get to see a lot of back story to the pack and the men. I liked that I like how this pack bands together to protect one of their own. Over all this series is really shaping up to be a wonderful one I cannot get enough of I cannot wait to see where Ms. Walsh takes the Angel Pack next and who falls in love.
How kinky. I didn't know you could have a third mate. I thought packs only had a one true mate. Like I said, too damn kinky for me. Never heard of an ocelot shifter? Good read!!!
