I really love this book. The author, having killed 3000 plants herself, recommends the best plants for success. She gives a lot of practical advice such as using planting mix rather than planting soil.I recommend this book to anyone who would like to have a few pots around the patio and would like them to be both beautiful and fuss free.

This book definitely focuses on gardening in the south and on the east coast. She does give a strong list of tried and true container plants but they lack originality.
