Dear Readers,

The love stories in my family have always been fodder for romance novels.

My maternal grandmother and grandfather simultaneously ran a business together and raised four daughters, long before it was an accepted thing to do.  Grandpa O’Dell ran the gas station and the barber shop; Grandma O’Dell managed the grocery and cooked for customers.  They were true partners and madly in love and parted, tragically, way too soon when he succumbed to cancer when he was in his early fifties.  Grandma grieved deeply but eventually picked herself up, started a new career as a cafeteria chef, and eventually found deep romantic love and happiness again, in the form of a second marriage.

Two books in one - baby's first Christmas - loved this story - kind of unusual but told in such a way that you could actually believe it could happen.
Second story is The Unlikely Santa - not quite as good, but enjoyable.

Two cute Christmas stories. One about a young woman who decides to have IVF to have a child but through no fault of her own meets the man who has donated the sperm. Sparks fly for many reasons. The other story is about a woman who feels that her life revolves around her job as a manager in a department store. All she wants out of life is to move up in the company. Then she meets a man who needs to be a Santa in the store for his own reasons. Again sparks fly both in anger and in love.

Like most Christmas love stories things always turn out in the end but they are a fun read on the way!

This book had two stories. The first was absolutely horrible. I just kept waiting for it to get better but it didn't happen and then finally I just skipped to the second story which was ok. A cute romantic love story.

I have to be honest - I put this book down and read two other books in between before picking it back up and finishing it. It's not that the two stories are badly written, just not really well written. And I also felt that the stories were mediocre and predictable, even for a Christmas romance!
