Hot and sweet!
This may not be a long story but it hit all the right buttons for me. Ms. Devlin did an excellent job of giving us enough background to make me connect with the characters. Melanie has never forgotten her brief encounter with Carter but she doesn’t know that it’s also been the same for him.
Carter believes that his father hates him so he left home years ago and became a SEAL. After he is injured he finally comes back to the ranch to face the loose ends he left behind. As much as he doesn’t want to, he knows that he needs to see his dying father. He also needs to make things right with Melanie.
The heat between Melanie and Carter is scorching but I also felt so sad for both characters. I always enjoy books by Delilah Devlin but her stories aren’t usually the kind that touch on all of my emotions like this one did. She made me cry and I think that’s a good thing when I’m reading a romance.

really good book in the beginning but the ending was rushed and much more could of made this book better

4.5 Stars for Devlin's 5 Story in her Uncharted SEALs Series. This was a good short story about overcoming years of hurt, seeing that life is short and that when a second chance comes your way you need to take it.
Carter Vance Jr is our hero of Baby It’s You , he is a SEAL coming home after an injury and years of being away both physical and emotional. He had put his family in the past and kept them there. Now that his father is sick and is asking for his return. Carter will have to face his past, which includes his father, Emmy his niece and his one true love Melanie. Will all be forgiven? Can Carter heal the hurt he left behind? Will he walk away again and not return ? Or will he finally come to terms with his future ? I suggest you give this story and series a try. Each story is short , to the point and is different but the same. Every character has left an impression on me. Devlin keeps it interesting and I have absolutely fallen in love with this series and can't wait for more!! Happy Reading!

I received this book as a ARC for an honest review. It is book5 in the Uncharted SEAaLs series and is a stand alone book with an awesome HEA. Carter left home and joined the military after high school to get away from his dad. Mel is raising her niece after a car bomb kills her sister and her husband. This is their wonderful story of finding their HEA. Recommend this book to all military romance lovers. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
