SHE COULDN'T LEAVE HIM Beautiful Morgan Wainwright was eager to trade her New York townhouse for the rangelands of Nevada, where she'd inherited a half-share in the Red Rock Ranch. But then Morgan met her darkly handsome partner, the half-Indian, all-infuriating Joseph Youngblood. When he ordered her off "his" land, her blue-eyes blazed with rage, but when he tried to scare her away with his bold caresses, her blood boiled with a different brand of heat. Youngblood teased her with whispers of what he would do with his searching hands and warm lips, and when he made good on his shameful promises, Morgan was willing to surrender more than a parcel of land!
HE WOULDN'T LET HER GO Joseph Youngblood had worked like a dog to turn the Red Rock Ranch into a growing concern, and he'd be damned if some well-heeled looker could sashay in and steal it out from under him. He planned to send Morgan packing with his rude talk and audacious advances, but after he's tasted her honey-sweet lips and explored her luscious curves, he vowed to seduce her into staying in his loving embrace — where she belonged.

3.5 - 3.75 Stars. This one was not a page turner for me for about the first half. I was dragging my feet about picking it up each time to finish. The second half became better and I got thru it. I really liked the H/h. Their wasn’t much going on other than I hate you, but oh how you make me tremble, can’t keep their hands off each other type back and forth stuff. In the second half a little more went on. The most action came at the ending last 25 pgs or so. Ending was violent and the author quickly tied the villains up together at the same time. The creep fiancé from the beginning of the book was completely ignored and never mentioned again after chapter 2. I thought it odd since they were each leaving town for 6 months per her dads request and the heroine was planning on returning to still marry him. She of course ends up with the H and the couple got their HEA. The epilogue is only about a pg.
One of my favorites. A good old fashioned western romance. The characters are very memorable, with a good sense of humor. Definitely worth re-reading years later.
I absolutely love this author. As she says, “Life’s tough; we all need a bit of fantasy now and then. For myself, I love a happy ending.” And that’s exactly what she delivers in her books. I love her stories, and I especially love her heroes. This book is no exception. Although I did find both the hero and heroine a little stubborn, everything works out in the end. As usual, the hero is fantastic—though at first, he was a bit hard to like. His feelings for the heroine began as lust rather than love, and their relationship started off as a classic love-hate dynamic. Initially, the hero doesn’t pursue her because he assumes she’s a city girl who wouldn’t survive ranch life. However, she adapts surprisingly easily—perhaps a little too easily, which felt slightly unrealistic. Because of this, the hero tries not to get emotionally attached. But once they’re together, he’s completely devoted and very much the one doing the chasing. Overall, I’m glad I read this book. While it may not be the author’s strongest work, it was still an enjoyable and satisfying read.
