A provocative contemporary romance that poses complex questions about modern marriage: How much time should a couple remain together before they can call their marriage a success? Why does divorce automatically mean failure? And can the institution of marriage evolve with our changing times?

For Leela and Riley Franklin, the seven-year itch is an all too real phenomenon. After they celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary, and witness some of their closest friends calling it quits, the two agree to try something unorthodox to avoid going down the same predictable path. That’s when Free Fridays is born.

The last Friday of every month is free: Leela and Riley get an unconditional free pass. They can do whatever they want, with whomever, wherever, with no questions asked, the one rule being that there are no strings attached. At first, it seems like the perfect arrangement. Both Leela and Riley are enjoying their cake as they get to eat it, too.

But it doesn’t take long before trouble rears its ugly head. Soon, they realize that you can’t always get what you want but sometimes—that’s okay.

Oh boy!!! Who needs scripted "reality tv" when you can read a Pat Tucker book??? It's always (thanks to the petty part of me lol) entertaining when I hear and/or read stories about folks that they think they're running game and then get all emotional when the tables turn against them.

Pat Tucker has created a niche for herself as someone who crafts stories around pop culture. She does a great job of writing books that flow seamlessly and can always be read in a short amount of time. If you want to spend a little time with ratchet folks but don't want to turn on VH-1, then Free Fridays is the book for you!

I enjoyed this soap opera, telenovela, reality tv show like book! The ending was unexpected. Though this read was filled with drama, there were lessons to learn. Riley definitely has major insecurities. He thinks being controling makes him a real man. What he learned in the end is if the right man comes along (Malone) with good intentions, his wife (Leela) does not have to accept his mentally abusive ways. Leela was like many women who marry and find themselves outgrowing their spouse....she wanted to force herself to stay because she was afraid of failing. As we saw with Samantha, divorce does not have to be a failure....it can be the perfect beginning of living.

Marriages all around Leela and Riley are coming to an end. In hopes of saving their struggling relationship, the agree to a "no question asked" Friday, once a month. The tables suddenly turn, when one is enjoying their freedom a little more than the other, and it's not so fun anymore.

What's even more alarming, is the players involved and their various roles in this whole fiasco.

The characters that pissed me off the most was spineless Bill and Miss Hot-in-the-Pants, Natasha. I thought they got away too easily. But I was pleasantly surprised by who ended up together in the end.

I enjoyed this 💎💎💎💎💎 book by @authorpattucker, and recommend that my fellow avid readers go get it, too.

Wow, phenomenal... This is the first book I read by Pat Tucker and I thought it was awesome. It was filled with heart pounding excitement, nervous anticipation and twisted backstabbing.

The author did a great job of detailing each scenes and characters with in-depth details. The storyline was suspenful, compassion, emotional and realistically dramatic.

I highly recommend this book and I'm very exciting looking forward to reading all other literatures written by Ms. Tucker. 😯😊

Free Fridays by Pat Tucker is a page turner about married couple Leela and Riley Franklin, who after seven years and watching many around them have their relationships end with divorce the couple decides to do something new and not typical, Free Fridays is born.

The last Friday of every month is free: Leela and Riley get an unconditional free pass. They can do whatever they want, with whomever, wherever, with no questions asked, the one rule being that there are no strings attached. At first, it seems like the perfect arrangement. Both Leela and Riley are enjoying their cake as they get to eat it, too or do they?

With an arrangement like this, many would think these two would be on cloud nine and having the best of both worlds. Well, Pat Tucker has penned a story line that is full of drama that will keep your engrossed all the way to the very last page. This was my first time reading a novel by this author but definitely will not be my last. I truly enjoyed her storytelling skills in Free Fridays.
