Once upon a time, I was the woman you envied.

I had it all. A wonderful family. The perfect fiancé who also happened to be my best friend. Money and resources. The power and influence that came with sharing the Trassato name.

One night my fairytale became a nightmare, and I’ve been living in Hell ever since.

A rival family killed my fiancé. My father succumbed to cancer. In the middle of it all, I bargained away my future to Konstantin Trincher, a member of the Russian mafia. It seemed like the perfect solution at the time—my brother’s girlfriend in exchange for me.

Only things weren’t that simple.

I promised myself to Konstantin and my family promised me to Nico DeAngelo, the underboss of the Trassato Crime Family.

Konstantin and I form an alliance to unravel our bargain. The only problem? We didn’t expect to fall for each other in the process.

Now I’m forced to choose between love and loyalty.

One choice will break my heart and the other will break my family.

Another winner from Ms. Cardiff!!
I could not put this down and I was on the edge for the whole time. I put some of the pieces together but not all of them. WOW!!! It was just as good or better then book 1.

I love Carmela she just blossomed from a spoiled Italian Princess to someone who knew what she wanted and let nothing stop her. I loved her humor and how she wouldn't back down from Kon. She broke that stupid italian sterotype: me man you woman, do as I say. YUK!! I am part Italian and for sure it is there still today.

Kon... oh my he is one hot Russian. He also grew in the story to know what he wanted and how to fight for it. He was perfect for Carmela and I love how he loved her from afar and took the chance to get her.

Lots of mob stuff and dramatic twists. Got to peek at Gian and Evie. I am glad Evie got over her stuff and helped out Carmela.

The next book was set up in this one and I am sooo going to read it!
LOVE IT!!

OK, I really liked Kon and Carmela's story so much better than Gian and Evie. Although we got to see Gian and Evie in this story I had wished we saw "more" or got "more" of their relationship.

Anyways, loved the storyline, although for me personally, there was too much else going on outside of their relationship and I had wished I had gotten more of them together but in the end it was worth it! For me, I hate when a story gets bogged down in the outside aspects and yes, I get it sets up but for me it takes away from the couple and that's what I want to be reading about if that makes sense!

All in all a very good read!

An enjoyable read and sequel to Gian, though slightly darker. Good well rounded characters and plot and like Giann with just enough angst and suspense to make it above average.

Another enjoyable reread, with quite the twisted situation Carmela found herself in, with two fiancés.
Got to agree with myself in my first review.

This series is the first books that I have read by Lisa Cardiff and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I read book 1, Gian, in one sitting and then started on Kon immediately. I would definitely recommend that you read book 1 first. While I think you can get the gist of everything without, it really does give you background and more insight into why the two main characters are where they are in this point in their lives.

I'm not going to recap what happens in this book because quite frankly, I want you to go into it blind. It's what I did and I realized that it was the best decision I could have made. Instead, I'm going to talk about what I liked.

First of all, I really liked the writing style of Lisa Cardiff. If flows very smoothly with easy transitions. It was easy not only to get sucked into the story itself but into the flow of how easily everything tied together.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Kon for the sheer fact that he wasn't seen in the best light in the first book. What I was surprised to find out was just how loving he actually was and how deep his feelings ran for Camilla dating further back then we even knew. I wish I would have seen him as a little bit more of an alpha but he was still extremely likable and had you pulling for him the entire time.

I really liked Camilla. She's strong and determined. She doesn't take crap from anyone and even if her hand is being forced by those who hold high positions, she never fails to speak her mind and stand up for herself. She's loyal and loving and just ultimately a good match for Kon. Their journey certainly isn't carefree. They have ups and downs but she never loses sight of what she wants and how she feels.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a lighter mafia/organized crime book with a love story of two people who have to overcome no one wanting them together and who fight for each other, then this is the book for you. I can't wait to read more of this author's work!

Once again Lisa Cardiff has pulled off another winner. She has provided me with a very high paced mafia romance that had twisted me up from the inside. She gave me drama. She gave me suspense on another stratosphere. Kon definitely delivered an equally phenomenal story that got me on the edge of my seat just lke Gian did.

Kon was really an engaging and exhilarating romance filled with enough pulsing level of adrenaline that certainly drew me in from the first sentence. Just like that. It was such wild rush that cause tremors inside my body. I found myself so electrified by the scenes. From the first page all I got was consistent uphill and palpable tension that screamed. I loved every moment of it. My eyes could not leave this book that I devoured so quickly. I felt this was one of the best mafia reads I ever read. Lisa Cardiff definitely brought out the X factor in Kon.

Kon introduced us to Carmela and Kon who we met in Gian. It was good to get to their story. There was raw chemistry that I loved more. Carmela was sassy, fiery and strong. I loved how independent she was. It made a very likable character. Kon was an alpha. Badass and totally possessive, he really made light up a fire in me. And also hot and a filthy mouth enought to make my knees weak.

I cannot wait to read more of Lisa Cardiff's books. Her mafia books are totally indulgent and also delectable. I definitely want a bite of it.

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

Okay, so I must say, you need to read these books! I am in love with the Trassato family and their lives!

We meet Carmela and Konstantin in the first book, Gian. In this book, we get their story and learn what makes them tick.

Kon is the second in finance of the Russian Mob and Carmela is an Italian mafia daughter. If ever two people are incompatible, it would be these two. They are as different as night and day.

The last thing Carmela wants is to be attached to anyone, especially a Russian, since the love of her life died a few years earlier.

Kon doesn't do relationships, he had already been burned too bad to want it again.

Saddled together because of a deal, can they figure out how to find a Happily Ever After?

Wow I have to give this 4.5 stars, simply a great read. Kon has finally step out of the shadows to claim Carmela but when his plan backfires and they fall for each other, you get this great story of how two people who are not suppose to like each other fall for each other. There is so much in this book, forbidden live, secrets, betrayal and ultimately the coming together. You will not go wrong with this series, I would recommend reading Gian first just so you get to know the characters and the back story.

Not for me, sadly

I read this straight after Gian, hoping I would enjoy this one more. However I found the story structure to be very similar to that of Gian. The pretend engagements, the 'instant' chemistry for both of them. Then there was the family resentment to the couple. Unfortunately, for me this book was almost like reading the first book, just using different names.

I FREAKIN LOVE IT!!

This book is even more exciting than the first. The excitement is so intense it's like being on one of those spiraling roller coasters. My insides were still jittery even after I finished the book. Kon is a gorgeous, strong, alpha and he runs half of his father Alix's share of the Russian mafia. So that makes him one scary mother f'er. He's also Evie's brother. Evie is married to Gian who is part of the Italian mafia and he is Carmela's brother, and she is Evie's best friend. Lol. Sounds like a soap opera. Anyway, needless to say the two families hate each other so in order for Gian and Evie to be able to be married without any blowback from the Russians Carmela made a deal with Evie's father Alix and her brother Kon that if they let Gian and Evie marry and be happy without interference then she'll help them get what they want even if it means marrying Kon. After a year of waiting Alix pressures Kon to get moving with engaging with Carmela. The mystery that surrounds Kon and Carmela gets crazy and the chemistry that starts building between them is off the charts. Carmel's family is pressing her to marry Nico who is a total douche. He only wants to marry Carmela so he can get ahead in the crime family. She doesn't have any feelings for him at all and he sure as hell doesn't have any feelings for her because he makes it quite clear he won't be faithful. The whole time I was reading, the suspense continue o grow and it just keeps getting more and more intense. The love that grows between Kon and Carmela so heartwarming, even more so because they both have had horrible experiences with love so the fight it as long as they can until it just sneaks right up on them. I loved it! Once they get a taste they can't keep their hands off each other. It's so romantic and the sex is Smokin Hot. When secrets start to be revealed it left my jaw on the floor thinking WTF? I highly recommend this series to everyone.

Firstly love the cover, that is definately Kon, I could imagine him and I also recommend that you read Gian first as he does feature quiet heavily in this story. Kon is the brother-in-law to Gian who has married Kon's sister Evie, they are estranged in part of this story.

Kon, book 2 of the Trassato Crime Family definitely has lots of drama, some mystery and also answered some questions that I had from Gian book 1. I loved Kon and Carmela as a couple, they were passionate, stubborn and had great banter with each other.

Carmela I loved as a female lead character, she has experienced heartache, betrayal and also learns how to stand up and fight for who she loves. Carmela was very different to Evie and another new female character introduced was Emilia. I cannot wait for Emilia's story, wow she is one big black sheep of the family, I think her story is going to be great and I hope she eventually gets some reconciliation with her father. What she has gone through has me asking so many questions.

Kon entwines the Russian and Italian famlies and the ending I loved however I do wish they announced everything about their relationship but perhaps we get to see and hear it all in book 3 - I hope so.

This is book two in the Trassato Crime Family series. We met some of the characters in book one so although they are standalones I do recommend you read them in order. This is Kon and Carmelas story. Kon is Evie's brother and Carmela is Gians twin sister. I've got to say I loved this book more than book one. Carmela and Kon is definitely my favourite couple. Kon is just so hot.

Great storyline and an added bonus of reading more of Gian and Eve. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I received a copy if this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Kon is the second book in the Trassato Crime Family series by Lisa Cardiff. You do need to read the first book Gian before reading Kon.

Carmela was the woman everyone envied once upon a time. She had a wonderful family, perfect fiancé who was also her best friend. Money, resources, power and influence that came with carrying the Trassato name. One night and a murder later, add in a dead father an life is just a mess. She bargains away her future to Konstantin Trincher, a member of the Russian Mafia.mat the time it seemed like the perfect solution, my brothers girlfriend in exchange for me. Only things aren't that simple as Carmela has been promised by her family to Nico DeAngelo an underboss for the Trassato Crime Family. Now Carmela is forced to chose between love and loyalty.

I really loved this book. Carmela is an exceptionally strong female character. You get to see her go from a spoiled princess to a a strong willed nothing is getting in my way woman. Kon is Evie's brother and I really liked getting more of him. He and Carmela are perfect for each other. This story if so filled with twists and turn and will have you lost to the rest of the world for a while. I don't want to give anything away about this book for freak of ruining something.

I can't wait to see what Lisa Cardiff writes next in this series.

As if Lisa could write anything other than a 5 star read?
Kon is the story of Konstantin Trincher (Evie's brother) and Carmela Trassato (Gian's twin sister). Kon's father (Alix) made a deal with Carmela. He'd allow Gian and Evie to marry BUT she would be Kon's wife in exchange. Thirteen months later, Carmela still had t heard from Kon. She'd hope he'd forgotten their agreement. While Kon was out sleeping around and drinking his thoughts away, he couldn't forget his obligation. He was totally attracted to Carmela but she was a Trassato. His own sister hated him (for good reasons), he couldn't stand his new brother-n-law.... marrying Carmela was not in his plans. Alex Trincher was getting impatient and ready to make deals. Kon's time was up. Kon decides to speak with Carmela and attempt to work things out so that she would be off the hook as much as himself. Neither one had plans on falling in love with each other. Both being heartbroken from previous relationships, they had zero desire to jump into another one. All it took was one touch. A simple graze of a finger then a soft kiss on the mouth...... everything changes!

Lisa Cardiff wrote an amazing story about Konstantin Trincher and Carmela Trassato secret deal but forbidden relationship full of lies, deception, murder, betrayal, greed, and secrets from the grave. Carmela, who is Gian's twin sister and Kon, who is Evie's brother along with Kon's father Alix made a secret deal that she (Carmela) would marry Kon. The story is full of Russian roulette and Carmela is the target to further others future in the crime family. Even her own Uncle Dominick, head of the Trassato crime family and Nico, the underboss was included. Carmela appears to have peaked the enemies that were lurking in the dark for her. Kon and Carmela fell hard for each other without trying and the realization was awaken each time they were together. This story was well written with strong characters and storyline. I recommend this to all seeking a great book!

Better than the first!!

I got this book after reading the first book in the series "Gian". I loved the writing style of the first book, and I'm a fan of Lisa Cardiff, so I got the second book to see where it would go. I absolutely loved this one, more than the first. Kon and Carmella were brought together as part of a deal between the families, but evolve into so much more. They have so many outside forces trying to tear them apart, but quickly realize their chemistry is much more than they bargained for. Loved this book. Great read. If you like the mafia stories, this one is great!

I love mafia themed books, so I was really excited to get my hands on this. And I was not disappointed! The characters are so full of life that the book would pull me in and I would forget the world around me.
I love that Carmela is a strong woman. Maybe needing some help, but she is far from helpless. And Kon is just the kinda bad boy I like. Dirty, but able to step up when the time comes. The supporting characters are not just fillers, which makes for a great, full story. I hope Lisa Cardiff has a lot more planned for us!

Love Kon and Carmela

I enjoyed their story more than Gian and Evie. Their forbidden love story was more intense and when they finally acted on their feelings, the scene was off the charts! Very good follow up and bring on the next one!

This is the second book in the Trassato Crime Family. The first, Gian, was about Gian(John) and Evie's love story. Book two takes over from Book 1 and is about Carmela (Gian's twin sister) and Kon (Evie's brother)

We learned in book 1 that Evie is the daughter of Alix Trincher, a Russian Crime Family, and enemy of the Trassato Family. Deals are made between Carmela, Kon and Alix to allow Evie and Gian to be together. In the process Carmela and Kon fall for each other. There were lots of suspenseful twists and dramatic turns making this another 5 star read. Lisa Cardiff is an amazing author who writes great page turners. Hope to read more in this series.
