While hairstylist Melody Pullman has no problem keeping clients in her chair, she can't keep her bills paid once her crack-addicted husband Big Steve steps through a revolving door leading in and out of prison. She soon finds what seems to be a sexual and financial solution when she becomes involved with Larry, the husband of one of her longtime clients. Larry, weary of dealing with his disabled wife and her needs, sees Melody as a release, a guilty pleasure. But does Larry have what it takes to hold on to her when another suitor steps on the scene and challenges him?
A little puddin' is always good after a meal . . . unless it belongs to someone else.
This was my first book by this author and I really wanted to like this book......but I was very disappointed with the story.....The main character Melody and Steve kept doing the same thing over and over again even after Steve found God and all Melody did was smoke weed, drink, have sex and cuss her son out with every other word that she said to him......I have a problem with a woman who can not only smile in your face and sex your man but is also your hair dresser....Just wasn't there for me....Not sure if I will read anything else by this author or not.......
Melody Pullman is a much sought after hairstylist, Who is struggling to pay her bills…especially after her husband keeps using the revolving door of the state penitentiary. While he is getting his life together and seeking salvation, Melody becomes involved in a full on relationship, with her client's husband. Things get a little messy when someone drops the word to get client, and all things go left from there.
Meanwhile, Melody gets involved in another relationship and once again, someone is upset and seeking revenge.
This oldie but goodie will encourage one to think twice before getting involved with someone else's puddin'. The consequences are not worth it in the end. The message in this book…God saves and will restore anyone who diligently seeks His face. Shout out to Big Steve!
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.
This book is one of the worst books I have ever read. No real plot, no moral to the story, and the ending was terrible! I will never read another book by this author
Melody's hard times are finally catching up to her. Being a hairdresser is not what it's cracked up to be. With little money to pay her bills and a son who will only wear name brand clothes, Melody must step up her game. As one of her client's is going on and on about making a man "pay to play," Melody decides to go on the prowl. Does it matter that he is one of her best client's husband?
Steve has loved Melody for as long as he can remember. She has been the wife that he has always looked for. Though taking care of her and her son has not always been his priority, hopefully she can forgive him and understand that they were meant to be together.
Pat has it going on. She has a wonderful house and a good looking husband who buys her any and everything. Let's not forget that even though she had three children, her body is better than any eighteen year old college girl. So what she brags and treats her man like garbage, that doesn't mean that he is going anywhere.
Larry is living any man's dream. He runs his own business which makes a profit that could afford him anything his heart desires. His wife is beautiful and his three children are all doing great and have careers facing them. To top it off, his mistress is incredible. She doesn't give him any problems and gives him as much as he wants in the bedroom anytime he wants it. Can his life get any better?
Samuel's debut is a solid case of good 'ole drama. It is packed with humor, sadness and just plain craziness. If you enjoy a good book that you can talk later to your girlfriends about, definitely pick this one up.
