I really enjoyed this. It was exactly what I'd wanted: a basic introduction to hardwoods and softwoods, their properties and uses.
I really liked that it gave a few (very) basic biology facts to ground wood properties in the science underlying them. Note that I know nothing at all about biology here, which is probably why I geeked out a bit.
