Great Book for Outlining an Affordable Accredited College Plan but it's kind-of outdated
This book is extremely helpful in helping you understand how to attain a bachelor's degree for under $10,000 by utilizing the credit-by-examination method. However since this book was published in 2011 and it's currently 2021 as I type this review, some information is outdated and is no longer accessible like the DIY Degree website he mentions or several online resources, websites, and mobile apps that have come along within the past 10 years that will help you attain credits for college and help you study. For instance, Saylor.org, Sophia.org, and Study.com are sites that you can utilize to attain free or affordable college credits that's easily transferable to schools like Excelsior, Thomas Edison State University, and Charter Oak College. Not to mention, the cost of the credit by examination exams have gone down significantly and with the availability of online proctoring, it makes attaining your degree all the more easier.
Nevertheless, his information is still very relevant to getting an affordable degree.. For anyone who's interested in obtaining an associates and/or bachelor's degree using the methods he outlines, O recommend the YouTube channel College Hacked, for more up-to-date information on studying resources, tips, proctoring information, etc. Aside from that, this is still worth the read and has very valuable information.

I read this because I am interested in alternative education. So, you can get a Bachelors by taking tests? Who knew. Of course you would miss the other things colleges have to offer, like professional connections and whatnot. It is an interesting concept. For the right person, this might be a low cost option to attain a degree.
