Yet there are forces keeping them apart, forces that could win.
Will Cody and Edward break up or is true love strong enough to keep them together?
* This is a 35,000 word novella and the MM gay romance version of the original title Sing to Me. It is a standalone story and part of a new series of bad boy gay romance stories. Contains steamy men on men sex and is an emotional roller coaster with a satisfying ending.
Jamie Lake is the author m/m gay romances such as The Trainer, Boyfriend for Rent, Marked for Love, Bad Boy: Naughty at Night, Stay Always and many others.
Mmmm, well it was high on the angst meter and nicely written. I would have preferred a different ending after all that drama, but we can't have everything. Makes me wonder what the entire work is like though so I still might have to investigate.
As far as the audio goes, John Solo was lovely as always and he even sings in this one (and I always love that).
It was a short read but emotional rollercoaster. Some lines were a bit cheesy and a bit unrealistic but I enjoyed nonetheless, heart was in my mouth at the end but all happy in the end.
Ok, I'm an emotional mess... I cried on the first few pages but then through to the end the ugly cries started. I felt like I read this book before, then I remembered it it was a m/m version of the m/f version of Sing to Me. I read that & enjoyed it & cried a lot with that book to. That's why Cody & Aaron's name was familiar & recent parts of the book. I'm so happy with the way Forever Mine ended & Edward was alive & he & Cody could finally start their HEA & Aaron finally met someone & hopefully over Cody to start his HEA that he deserves even though he's an a**.lol
A beautiful story of two different people who learn the depth of true love. Keep the tissues handy. I liked that the MCs were not the usual characters. I believed this instant love.
"Forever Mine" is another great book by amazing Jeff Rivera! This story follows Cody - bad boy rocker and Edward - an uptight preppy. They're complete opposites, but they fall in love with each other on the spot. Unfortunately there're many obstacles on their way and they're hard to overcome.
About the book... WOW! Just wow! I loved it! It made me smile, it made my cry and it sure as hell broke my fucking heart! I think this one is my favorite by this author so far. Couldn't put it down ;) I liked both Cody and Edward. Their love was so beautiful and strong.
This book is the m/m version of Sing To Me which I have on my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read yet. Now I have to read it. I'm pretty sure there's no way that the m/f version can top this one but I'll keep an open mind.
Forever Mine hooked me from the start but not in the best way. I was pretty sure that I was going to be frustrated and angry by the end. There were several moments that I wanted to throw my Kindle but I stuck with it and I'm happy to say I was very happily surprised. It kept me on my toes until the very end.
There was a lot of emotion in this book but it was also playful and funny. Definitely glad I read it.
This book was such a heartwarming story and parts broke my heart and made me cry. I'm so in love with Edward and Cody there connection was so intense and so strong. I loved it. It was so beautifully told I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you so much Jeff Rivera for this heartwarming story I would recommend this story.
Wow! That's what I said when finish reading this book. Edward and Cody story will take your emotions on a rollercoaster ride. I cried, laugh and cried some more. If you want to read a good love story, I definitely recommend Forever Mine.
So deep and touching. Jeff should be writing all his novels with the intent of making us cry and love this deeply. I just love how much Cody loved Edward. You can feel it deep in your soul what they meant to each other. I was very moved...
Terrible. First off, i don’t feel like this is a romance at all. There is a HEA, but only after the author(s) jerk us around with ridiculous disaster after disaster, including an extended is-he-brain-dead-or-just-in-a-coma situation. Where one of the heroes appears to die not just once, but twice. And comes back in the next chapter, with few details given. I kept listening, in disbelief, and had to see what was going to happen next. I resent that I wasted 3 hours and 53 minutes of my life on this book.
Well fuck, way to make me cry. And the beginning of that last chapter, fuck man, way to start it off. I read the first sentence and boom waterworks until the second paragraph then I laughed... wtf
I don’t get it. Edward is dead or not? It said: ‘ He died on a Thursday.’ Did he resurrect? Two times? Ones from being brain dead (wtf?) and after that again?
Wish synopsis would have mentioned the sadness that prevailed throughout.
I'm sure this book was great, but once I started reading it and realized the deep sadness that started practically on the first page, I could only skim to the end. I think the synopsis should have mentioned the accident, imminent death, etc. and other sadnesses that prevailed throughout this story. I do not like really sad stories because they hang in my head for days after, which is too long for me. Otherwise, I am sure this story would have been great. I have always liked Jamie Lake books.
Wow! I read this right after 'Yours' by Kim Alan and this one was another great love conquers all story. It starts with Edward in a coma and Cody reminisces about Edward and his relationship from the beginning up to the day of Edward's accident. It had me in tears in many places it was so endearing, touching and emotional. I'm sure some else wrote a better review than is one, and all I can say is that anyone who loves to read m/m with deep seeded love would find this a great read. This may be a spoiler, but it does have a HEA ending.
There's the germ of a really good book here but it's just too frantic and lacking in structure to work as well as it should. It has a strong opening and a good ending but the middle is a race through instant love with a side order of added destruction and inflated hardship which overwhelms the romance.
This is one of the greatest books I've read about true love. The kind that's real and everyone wishes they could find but only a lucky few do. I love this book because it shows the reality of loving someone. They struggle, they fight, but in the end true love never dies.
This is a beautiful love story with moments that clutch your heart and cause your throat to close up. Anyone would be lucky to have a love so deep and lasting... One that deepens over time and through day to day struggles. Especially when some try to separate you. All of us should be strong enough to love someone like this in our own lives.
I love this story and even though it isn't very long, it is filled with love, angst, determination and grit. It will make you happy in parts and sad in others. It leaves you wishing there was more but all points are covered. Really enjoyed it.
My god I loved this book.....it was a short read... But such an emotional rollercoaster I laughed, I cried, even had a moment I want to throw my phone across the room..... This book shows that true love tops everything......
I loved this book. The story was very well written and drew me in from the start. Luckily I didn't have a lot going on today or I would have been in trouble as I couldn't put this book down. It was not written like a lot of others and I really like that.
Not everyone who writes has the gift of knowing what true love really is. This book grabbed my heart first line and I Didn't put it down until I finished it. I've read thousands of books and this one is in the top ten of all time best ever.
What an amazing roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. The main characters are incredible with a superb unexpected storyline. Just awesome Charo
What a beautiful storyline. Cody and Edward they were so compelling together. This love story had you going through all of your emotions. A very good read.
