Elena “Lane” Davenport is a struggling artist who’s been living as a man since the Civil War. Suffering from “soldier’s heart” (PTSD), facing arrest for failing to officially muster out, Lane is about to lose everything when an offer of help comes from the most unexpected of places.

Edward Wainwright is a British history professor—and Lane/Elena’s stepbrother. A dominant man with forbidden passions, he comes to America with news of their mother’s death and finds himself twice tempted. There’s instant attraction between Lane and Edward. Reclaiming her true gender to slip past the Pinkertons should make things easier…except Edward wants both Elena and her studio assistant Daniel O'Flaherty. He hopes that Daniel will submit to him, too, but they’ll need to learn, when it comes to Elena, just how much Daniel is willing to share.

Three soulmates are destined to find each other. Chance brings them together. Will Fate tear them apart? Written for ages 18+.

5 stars is not enough! Such an amazing book. It has the historical, romance and erotic elements. I didn't want it to end but I'm so glad that I read it! This is one book that I will definitely recommend!
"You have no idea how demanding I can be. You've no idea of the things I like. the things that I crave. What it takes to satisfy the basest of my desires. I don't want to ruin you." I also love Daniel and his Irish brogue "Jaysus"! Then Elena with "Holy Mother Of Pearl"

It was so believable as the story wasn't rushed which I really enjoyed, it takes on this marvellous journey and I felt that I was going along with them. #***** This is my review my opinion ... Finding a author that captures your imagination and takes you on a journey and holds you in the palm of your mind, that can stimulate, teach lessons along the way, traveling paths that have not been crossed before is rewarding, enjoyable and freeing.

I found the story built slowly so that we could get to know our leading characters. To delve into there lives and learn from them and there experience, I found my self having to remember to breathe ...
The further the story went the more invested I became wanting and becoming a part of the story... It was such a turn on the sexual tension the erotic situations the intimacies between... I loved it.. I learnt from them... I want what they had...

Elena Lane Lanie what a complicated exceptional woman, in a time of such trial and terror, to be able to create and build, and still be able to find that place inside to give and love.

Edward uuuummm yumm ... Well bred and knowledgable, finds himself far from home and having to make decisions that will affect the rest of his life, unknowing Alpha, Dominate, Experienced In ways some will never be. Confident in his knowledge of how to lead and protect. Again yumm I Think a lot of us could do with an Edward in our lives.

Daniel mate, buddy, companion.. Uuuummm double Yumm Talented in so many ways and on a different level of knowledge to Edward... Also a protector a happy man that is dependant and willing to be led because he can love and learns along the way to be willing to change and grow.

I highly recommend this book and author to all that want to be stimulated in a story in mind and body. Just be over eighteen and not a prude.

I was privileged to receive an ARC of Nia Farrell's new release, As Wicked as You Want. And I couldn't have been more excited since I'm a huge fan. The story is set in Chicago and London of 1868, a turbulent period in history.

Elena Davenport, alone after the death of her twin brother Lane, assumes his identity and lives as a man, even enlisting and serving in the Union Army. When PTSD forces her to abandon her duty, she forges a living as an artist with the help of her studio assistant, Daniel O'Flaherty, whom she met when they served together. Daniel struggles with the fact that he finds himself drawn to the man he knows as 'Lane.'

Their lives are changed with the arrival of Elena/Lane's stepbrother, British history professor Edward Wainwright. The chemistry between Elena and Edward is instant. With the Pinkertons on Lane's heel for desertion, Lane and Daniel agree to go to London with Edward, who is interested in both Elena and Daniel.

With Daniel making arrangements for the shipping of their belongings, Elena is alone with Edward and quickly reveals her true identity. The question is, what will Daniel think when he finds out she's a woman? And will he agree to join them as lovers?

This book is full of vivid historic detail and hot menage BDSM sex. It was thrilling from start to finish. And I love the fact that the subtitle is 'Forever Ours Book 1.' Because Elena, Edward, and Daniel have known each other before, in previous lives. And they'll know each other again. Great read, highly recommended, FIVE HUGE STARS!

First and foremost - brava Author Nia Farrell, on actually surpassing all of your previous work! This novel has everything, plus some, that a reader could ever want.
How to define a genre category to fit this into .... historical fiction, historical romance, an erotic romance or menage/BDSM/Ds/Sm - it is all of these and they fit wonderfully together! There is also an abundance of suspense, with twists and turns enough to keep a reader totally engrossed, when not reading and thinking about the absolutely titillating intimate scenes between the three main characters.
Aside from the absolutely riveting storyline, this novel is as well written as all of the author's previous works. It is a joy to read, without being hindered by missing words or sentences, or other grammatical issues. The historical details have been studiously researched, from actual Civil War battles, to early American politics, historical figures, period customs and attitudes (both in America & London).
I could go on forever about how totally captivating & enjoyable this novel is .... but I suggest that everyone find out for themselves!

Captivated my imagination..

This book has everything you could want in an historic, erotic menage romance; the characters are well written and fascinating, and their relationship whilst unconventional, is believable and so hot..

I was unaware of the role played by some courageous women in the American Civil War who were not prepared to remain on the sidelines, and this story provides a fascinating insight through the exploits of the brave heroine ..but whilst the story is set at a key point in history its real strength is the developing relationship between Elena a strong, brave woman, Edward, a true dominant alpha, and Daniel who is also dominant and protective, but who may consider switching for the right person..the chemistry between these three builds gradually and there are obstacles placed in the path of their HEA from both outside forces as well as from within the grouping...these are dangerous times in more ways than one..

This is a compelling love story, which captivated my imagination and kept me invested throughout.. I received a copy of this book from the author.

What a story!
Elena/Lane together with Edward and Daniel...it couldn't be better. Elena's brother died and in order to survive in a man's world, Elena assumed her brother's identity and went out to war. There she met Daniel. After the war they stayed together, still as to men - Lane as an artist an Daniel as her assistent. Edward arrived to Chicago to tell about Elena/Lanes mother's death.
Even when both Daniel and Edward thought that Lane was a man, they where drawn to her.
They all ended up in London and Lane changed back to Elena.
The chemistry between the them was special as well as their interaction with dominante and submissive.
Their love for each other are wonderful, even if they had to keep it as a secret outside their home.
My biggest 'problem' - and it's really not a big one - is that I have to plan when to read Nia Farrell's books, because when I start I don't want to let it go until it's finished.

Must read historical romance that deals with women who fought in disguise in the civil war. It spans two continents and the one of the main characters is an artist who suffers from PTSD as a result of the war. This book has steamy, scorching scenes that will have you fanning yourself. This is an interesting Dom/subDom/sub dynamic between the three main characters... A must read to see how their relationship evolve throughout the book.

I love this book. The dynamics between these three characters is phenomenal. I am a fan of menages and not typically the mmf but this one is great!

Very difficult to review this. On the one hand I enjoyed the historical setting, which felt very real. On the other, I never felt any of the supposed bond between the three MCs, or any real explanation for Elena’s deep need to submit. It was nicely written and flowed well enough, but it seemed all tell and very little, if any, show.

Stunning. A wonderfully wicked read.

I so thoroughly enjoyed Nia's telling of this tale. The twists that you think are coming may not actually materialize and then others actually do! I love the dynamic between the three characters. The interaction and how they play against and with each other is incredible. Most interesting is the fact that it's like a hesitant threesome! The telling of the tale, watching the growth of the characters, seeing the story unfold and not wanting to put down the book - makes for a very difficult time going to bed and then getting up to work the next day! I took my time reading this tale. I savoured the three getting to know each other and watching them learn that they may not really know each other. They are so perfect together. The reader is taken back in time. It felt so realistic and believable. I loved it.
