Trisha North’s story, Flame: Chronicles of a Teenage Caster, was a riveting tale full of mystery and revelation. From the beginning, she had me unwilling to put it down. She takes you straight into a world that hides within the one we know. The details of the world she created are laid out in the point of view of the main character, Quinn, in a way that didn’t take away from the progression of the story line. North brings Quinn’s plight into the open with a sequence of events that start out as simple, curious instances. A normal day turns into one that reveals the sinister truth behind the blurred lines of light and darkness.
It ended too soon, and I am dying to know how the rest of the story unfolds.
