The saying goes you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you, but maybe you should if that same hand prevents you from feeding yourself. Every territory has a king, and Metro Atlanta is no exception. Gang lords Blanket and Guerilla have been growing their numbers, never beefing until Guerilla decides to expand, thanks to the help of his enemy’s own rook. Caught in the middle of this battle from different sides of the track are London and Saint. Spoiled rich Roanoke girl London Royal is no exception to the old saying that every girl loves a bad boy and his ways. When she visits the downtrodden Jonesboro neighborhood of Goodman with her best friends, her privileged world changes drastically with one party and later, a tow-truck pickup by bad boy Santana Black. Santana "Saint" Black is anything but a saint. Caught up in the drug game, Saint is a runner and enforcer for Blanket—not to mention he’s from the wrong side of the tracks to have his sights set on London. Can they find love in the middle of a kingpin war, or will both fall to the game of the streets?
Great story I had put it down a few times but once I got back into it the ending did not disappoint.. The author is great at his genre and putting you into the environment of the characters to the point you’re with them in the sense..
Excellent, excellent storyline and character development. Brick & Storm bring a new level to urban fiction. The way this story is told, it can't really be classified into just one genre. It was fast paced, but you had to pay close attention. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend to anyone who enjoys reading an all out great story, full of love, violence, family, and street behavior. 5 star read and I look forward to reading more from Brick & Storm.
Started off slow but got fast paced. You will find yourself reading over the lines 2-3 times to make sure you didn't miss anything. lol. You will witness loyalty, disloyalty, love, murder, war & more. Just wish Saint hadn't done London like that. The same girl that sat right in front of your mom's house every morning for a week & a day & got choked & disrespected by his mom just because London heard that he got shot & she wanted to see him. (Whew!). Knowing that Saint had kill London parents, he should've at least comfort her. instead of being cold with ho-Dee-dee by his side. "MEN" Smh. lol. What hurt the most was what Saint said to London in Chapter 25. When London screamed I hate you, Saint replied, " Good, because every time I look at you & realize Royal bloods run through your veins, I start to hate you a little more too." I FELT THAT SHIT! LMAO
So really all of this was about MAYA a.k.a 1/3 of Blanket. I hope Saint & Sin take out DJ especially since they witness how disloyal he is to his family when he exposed that his parents were Guerilla. - Great job!
Read this book in one day, kept me wanting more. I was hoping for a better ending for London and Saint, hoping to see a part 2 cause I know it can’t end like that. Devon Sr and Tamika were something else. Maya was throwed off. Great book, loved Saint and Sin.
I couldn’t put this book down. It was entertaining, thrilling & unpredictable which kept me wanting to see what happens next. I was hoping that Saint and London would get back together and that there would be a truce between the Blacks and the Royal siblings but I still loved the book.
This was my first book by Brick & Storm. It started off really slow, picked up in the middle but left me kind of disappointed in the end. Hopefully, a sequel is in the works because i would love a story line to see how Saint and London end up.
The good girl is almost always attracted to the bad guy. London goes to the hood and barely escapes a shoot out. The ties that bind her community and the lower income side across the tracks are more than she knows. A set of twins named Saint and Sinner are enforcers for an unseen supplier. It was laughable that one of the suppliers was from Vietnam. WTH. No murder is ever solved and the police never showed up after any shootings. The ruins of guns and drugs are pervasive.
A part two (if there is not already one out) is needed. Would like to see how Saint and Sin evolve in the new roles they are taking on as well as the fall of DJ. Really would like to see London and Saint cross paths again.
A variety of love stories. An unassuming lead. I always tell folk your parents are the 1st liars dispite motive. Independent minded people fare better in life. You love them through their faults anyway, why not be honest about who they are?
In This Book You Were Either"The Have" Or "The Have Nots".......Blanket vs. Guerilla, The Royals vs. The Blacks. Each Side Was The Grimiest, I Had To Rock With The Blacks Cuz They Was The Realist Out Of The Two Families, They Lived In The Hood So Couldn't NOBODY Say They FORGOT Were They Came From! Great Read🫡🫡🫡
I wasn't invested in the storyline or the characters at all. But, wasn't twins used in the storyline for "C.W.'S KINGPINS:CLEVELAND"?!? For what purpose were they needed in this installments?!?!?!
Great Read!! A real page turner I couldn't put the book down. Love the characters in this story. Saint and Sin true gangtas. This book will have you testing family loyalty and the twins was true to that.DevinJr. is a true snake what he did to his parents he had no family loyalty all he had was greed he needs to be taken out. This book had me crying when Maya wrapped her arms around London because she felted her pain all I can say is wow good job Brick and Storm. I hope there is a part two to this story to see what happen to Saint and London.
