Clayburn is out for revenge. He wants to find the killer of his best friend. While hunting him down he becomes involved in a range war and must survive several gunfights to get his man. A very good western with lots of action. Recommended to fans of westerns.
Clayburn was playing poker when he got word that his best friend Mike Owens, along with his hands, had been attacked while driving a herd of ponies back to the ranch. Only one man had survived and he'd identified the gang. Ross Slater led a dangerous bunch.
Clayburn went looking for Slater with revenge in mind. He knew something no one else did. Slater had a brother living under a different name, John Thompson, and he went there to watch for Slater to come along.
In Flathead, he steps in when a widow is being harassed by Thompson's men, getting caught up in a struggle for her land. He sees a chance to accomplish both aims and takes it.
