This story takes us on the trail with Merriweather and Lewis, showing how important Sacagawea's help was to the expedition.
I like that these stories combine a bit of sci-fi with historical fiction. Children can relate to the main characters in the story and learn about these famous people and historical events through their eyes.
Overall, the stories are engaging and informative, although perhaps a bit too dramatic at times. We've enjoyed reading the books in this series, but our oldest declared that she prefers the Time Warp Trio books, so maybe we'll switch to that series for our next foray into historical time travel tales.
I read Sacagawea’s Strength by Stacia Deutsch. It is about Sacagawea and in this series, some kids, Bo Zack, Abigail and 1 more. They help Sacagawea not listen to an evil person named Babes Magee. I would not recommend this book because there is not a lot of action. Also, in the middle natives eat a raw deer. It is kind of scary because 9 and 10 year olds wonder around alone in the past. I could predict what would happen, and what happened was not exciting. The problem was that Babes Magee an evil person, was trying to become famous in the past and change the past also. The kids stopped her by her from doing that by jumping on her back. Also, took me a while to read the book because it was boring. I would not recommend Sacagawea’s Strength .That was about Sacagawea’s Strength.

I have enjoyed this series of books so far! I want to finish reading the rest of them. These are great books to have a little bit of history into them with some action and some humor. As a teacher, I would want to use this book in the lessons that apply. I'm looking forward to using these books and would like a copy on my shelves.
