Violet Death:

Rate this book
Well, that didn't last long. One minute it was wedded bliss, the next utter desolation. Thanks, witch bitches. So, now what? What happens next? Where do we go from here? How can I ever recover from losing the one person who ever truly loved me? This is the end of who I was and the beginning of who I will become. I'm done caring. Fuck life. I'll be Death. Roman, come home.

After their world is torn apart in the previous book Violet & Roman must come to terms with who they are in the aftermath of all they've been through. Self loathing & doubts throw up more obstacles. In this fourth book in the series we see Roman at rock bottom. While Violet discovers other forms of consolation.  We get to know Lux in a more in depth way & meet new characters, as the series continues to evolve at a fast pace. All in all another roller coaster of emotionally driven action, that will have you willing your favourite characters to make the right choices, before it's too late. You get completely drawn into each individual's psyche, seeing their motivations & the doubts that shape their thought processes. The approach Tara Vanflower takes has a wonderful down to earth quality, that allows the characters come alive as the threads are woven together masterfully. Tara Vanflower is a great story teller. I will continue to read these her amazing book series, it delivers pure escapism in the most realistic way.
