Amanda Spencer had spent years searching for clues to her first husband's murder. Now, she was close, too close to let a William VanHorn get in the way. He wanted to claim her as his wife, but she didn't have time to satisfy the man's needs. She wanted answers not sex. Set on fire by Amanda, William wouldn't let the lady escape. If she wanted answers, he'd get them. As head of the Dragon Center, he had connections and nothing would stop him from capturing her heart.

Dear reader,
First, thank you for your love and devotion over the years. You may have noticed. I haven’t released a new book in some time. This wasn’t because I didn’t have stories to write. No, it was more because the characters in my books wanted fuller stories.
Having a love affair with each of my characters, I couldn’t silence their chatter. They wanted their stories told in a deeper, more satisfying way. To silence them, I’ve worked to learn more about my craft to bring their stories alive.
Now the painful part, I want to make sure no one reads my stories in my old voice, so I am removing all my books from every retail site. The good news is I plan to re-release a new rewritten story each month for the next few years.
Wow. This was pretty awful. And sadly, I did not give up on it as I should, but held out until the bitter end since it was so short. I always find it laughable when an author chooses to have a character not use profanity in erotica. Honey, you just balled a guy you met less than 24 hours ago, I think you can let an F-bomb fly every now and then instead of saying "pickled herons".
Pros: The characters were well written. I liked their interactions and their goals throughout the story. Cons: For the first 50% of the book, the flow of the plot wasn't good. The timelines were jumpy and it made the story hard to grasp.
I am glad I stuck with it because it did get better past that point. I feel like there could have been much more meat to the story, especially with ferocity of the character's personalities, but it fell a little flat due to the sex sort of taking over the story.
If they would have taken out most of the sex in this thing they might have had enough for one of those romance magazine stories if that. Otherwise I'd swear this was written for a 2 bit porn movie not a book *rolls eyes*, sure am glad I didn't waste any money on it but would like a time refund HRMPH. Kinda ticks me off that they add dragon and its supposedly considered a sci fi fantasy novel *snort*
Uck. I didn't get very far before I had to stop. Dragon man wants to marry Dragon woman so she can have as many babies as he wants. She doesn't want this but cannot resist him. They have sex and she is immediately and miraculously pregnant. Turns out that the baby needs the sperm of the father continuously for the first six months in order to survive. So, more sex. Almost continuous, non-stop sex, with way too many adjectives used. There is a side story on the Dragon woman's part about needing to find her first husband's (this Dragon man is her third) murderer who, by murdering her Dragon husband, in turn, by depriving it of the needed sperm, killed their Dragon baby. It is totally overshadowed by the repetitious sex with the current Dragon husband.
At times, this feels historical, while other descriptions make it sound futuristic as though it couldn't decide what it wanted to be. Perhaps I would have done better without the audio version of this one.
Amanda has been married twice and both times she did not have children. She chose her first husband and her father chose her second. She has no need to walk down the aisle for number three. Amanda has Red Dragon Blood running through her veins. She is hounded by Dragon Blood males to marry, and one in particular...

Amanda was working to find out who killed her first husband while her dad was trying to get her another one. I found this one fascinating and arousing. This side of dragon's and human relations has much potential.
