Dreams Come True Boxed Set

Rate this book
Enjoy the entire Dreams Come True Series now in one convenient boxed set. Meet the billionaire playboys from Montreal: Gabriel, Sebastian, and Ben. Their lives have been a fairy tale, both charmed and tragic. Only love can heal and help them find balance. Read their stories, in the contemporary retellings of Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, and Aladdin.

Book One: First a Dream

Her life had never been a fairy tale.

Adopted at birth, Isabella never felt like she fit in. All she ever wanted was a happy family and a love of her own. When she suddenly became a single mother of two, her life changed for the worst until she ran into a handsome stranger.

A billionaire playboy, Gabriel had lived a charmed life. Never one to settle down, he didn’t understand why he was drawn to this woman he knew his father would never accept. Still, one date leads to another and suddenly he had the life he never knew he always wanted.

Together, their life was perfect, until the lies were exposed. Then, their happily ever after couldn’t be further away.

Book Two: Second Chances

For as long as he could remember, Sebastian had been cursed.

It began with the tragic death of his parents when he inherited the modern art gallery. It continued every day when he looked in the mirror and saw a monster where a man should be. He’d tried everything without success. Then he happened upon her, his cure, the one who could give him a second chance at life, love and happiness.

After years of repairing what her father destroyed during his drunken rampages, opening a shop for repurposed and redesigned furniture seemed a natural progression for Marisa. When Sebastian hired her, she finally had a chance to get paid to do what she’d done for years for free. It seemed like a win, until he proposed.

The moment they met, Sebastian was drawn to her. Of course, losing everything in thirty days if he didn’t marry was a huge incentive. So he asked and she refused. An experienced negotiator, he never gave up when he had his heart set on something. For Marisa, marriage wasn’t on the table and love wasn’t negotiable. Still, always quick to see the best in others, she looked at him and saw a project, her ultimate redesign. Maybe even Sebastian deserved a second chance.

Book Three: Three Wishes

With his gift for storytelling and his degree in film making, his plan had always been to see the world. A semester from finishing his graduate degree, Ben was assigned to make a dying girl’s wish come true. If he could hold it together, he might just fulfill one of his own. The problem was he’d never been good with kids and even less comfortable with beautiful women.

Life hadn’t been easy for Charlie after being kicked out of her parent’s house and dumped by her boyfriend when she refused to have an abortion. Now, six years later, Charlie’s daughter had leukemia and all she wanted was the same thing she’d wanted since she took the pregnancy test so long ago: for her baby to live.

After two long years of treatment, and news it hadn’t helped, Olivia had one last wish: to leave a legacy for her mother. As she worked on the documentary with Ben, it seemed to be working and Olivia felt better than she had in a very long time. Then the father she’d never met showed up.

Three people. Three wishes. One chance to make all their dreams come true.

DNF @ 30% for the first book, did not bother with the second and third.

Sloppy sentence construction that often matches a pronoun with the wrong noun or person--at one point it sounded like someone was going to have to drive through lemonade instead of snow, for example.

Inconsistency in character details: In the prologue, Isabella is specifically stated to be marrying at nineteen. In Chapter 1 we move forward five years, which makes her twenty-four, right? However, she loses her father at twelve, but then "even now, fourteen years later" Isabella is still hiding her sadness. 12 + 14 = 26. So how old is she?

Glaring grammatical errors: "Go salt [the sidewalks], then I'll fixing your face." Nobody caught that?

Overuse of stock phrases: "that fateful day," "knock me over with a feather," "the/his/her idea had merit," (that one showed up several times.)

Extremely shallow relationships that aren't explored, just stated. Isabella pouring her heart out over her impending divorce to her best friend, that I believe, sure. But to her professor that we, the readers, have only just met and barely heard mentioned? Who does that? Does the professor have some sort of mind manipulation powers, because when Gabriel has a meeting with her, instead of acting at all sensible, he's raving about his chance encounter with a mystery woman in the hallway (Isabella) rather than trying to convince the professor to let him into the class?

Also, speaking of shallow, what's the point of Gabriel having his own POV if all his sections are incredibly short and usually pointless? He gets far less time spent on developing his character than Isabella does, and it doesn't do him any favors that we know so much more about her than him. He's so "charming" that without depth he comes off as smarmy, and of course, since this is a fairy tale retelling (barely, though, nothing about this really said "Cinderella" to me) he has to be Prince Charming perfect. His last name is even Charmant.

Ultimately, I feel like I just read a first draft instead of a published work.

I'm only rating it 2 stars so far, as I only started it today, but even just a short way in and I'm finding small annoyances that may end in me giving up on the series.
There are quite a few typos, which I'm sure there are likely more as I'm not very good at finding errors like that.
There doesn't seem to be a consistency. The chapters start out with Isabelle, then the second half being Gabriel; labeled as such. However, during one chapter it switches mid page from the point of view of Isabelle to Gabriel.
Time lines are inconstant as well, skipping from dialog to thought processes with no time frame. Leaving the situation ending abruptly. Another example is when a character goes out drinking with his friends and is drunk after what seems like 2 shots, leaving the reader wondering if it's two hours later because another character said they'd be free two hours later.

It's just poor writing, I continue to read and things such as a character goes into the bathroom but returns from downstairs or they're going to Montreal in one sentence and then Aruba the next sentence. It's really hard to enjoy the story when details continue change.

I hope the story ends up being worth the small annoyances, but as of right now I wouldn't recommended starting it.

*Edit*
Nope, couldn't finish it.

I loved the whole set. You can't go wrong with these books!
First a Dream
Isabella is marrying Jack, but she almost chickens out. Isabella has done so much for her mother and sister that she needs to get away from them. Isabella’s mother is not too happy that her youngest daughter will now have to take over some responsibilities. Two children later (4 years and 2 years old), Isabella is working on oner masters in photography. She is working for a wonderful photographer who is gay and learning so much. She finds out from her professor/mentor/advisor that some of her pictures she took of the campus are now in the college catalogue with her name on them. She is so excited and can’t wait to tell her employer/friend. He is happy for her and tells her to take off early one night to go surprise her husband. She goes to the toy store he owns and the clerk upfront tells her he is in the back. Before he can stop her, she goes back there and hears voices. There he is getting it on with her younger sister. The sister that has always wanted everything she had. She tells her husband that everything is over.

A frenchman in Montreal has contacted Isabella’s professor about Isabella having an art show at his gallery. Isabella calls, but her French is not that good so someone else talks to her and translates. Each thinks the others voice sounds nice and the gentleman she is talking to says that he is coming down where she is and hopes they can meet. Unbeknownst to both of them, they run into each other in the hall outside her professor’s office. The gentleman is Gabriel and he is on his way to talk to the professor about getting into her class. He charms her in the hallway and even dances with her. She then takes off to get back to work. Later that evening she is out with her best friend, Jessie, telling her what happened. The next thing she knows is she hears his voice in her ear asking about dancing. She turns around and there he is. Jessie takes off so the two of them can get to know each other. You need to read the book to see what happens.

Gabriel comes from money and most of his friends also have money. Gabriel’s parents are divorced and Gabriel works for his father. His father likes to tell him what to do and how to do it. Gabriel tries to make his father happy. Isabella who Gabriel ends up calling Bella is trying to get over the breakup of her marriage. She wasn’t that happy with Jack, but she loves her children, and her children always come first. Her photography has suffered from her sadness and she is trying to get back into the groove. Gabriel keeps some secrets from his friends and father that ultimately affect his relationship with Bella. Bella’s children were great kids and I loved the interaction. It is a good book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this set.

Second Chances
Sebastian’s rich parents died when he was only 14 years old. Unfortunately his Uncle Luc became his guardian and executor of the estate until Sebastian turned 25, an uncle his parents had a falling out with. The uncle was not a good person and wanted all the money to himself. If Sebastian did not marry by 25, then his uncle would inherit the estate, the gallery and some money. The uncle let the estate go and pocked the money what was suppose to be used to take care of the estate. At 18 Sebastian moved out of the home.

Sebastian is down to the last 30 days before his 25th birthday and still has not married. He is running the gallery and lives above it, but will lose it if he does not marry. Unfortunately his uncle Luc has beat him down emotionally and Sebastian thinks he is an ugly loser. One day a drunk man comes in and asks Sebastian to show his work. Sebastian tells him to bring in his portfolio and he will consider, otherwise the answer is no. The man leaves, but comes back in the middle of the night and trashed Sebastian show room. The police arrive and Sebastian says he is going to call the old man’s daughter. Marisa arrives and is so upset with her father as his drinking and destroying things have been going on for too long. Sebastian is pulled towards Marisa. He decides to help her by putting her father in a place to dry out and if he leaves before the 30 days, he will go to jail. Sebastian also helps Marisa by asking her to fix the furniture broken and he will pay her as Marisa can do anything with old an broken furniture. He also tells her he knows where there is some furniture she can have to fix and put in her store. You need to read the book so see what happens.

I loved the book as there were twists and turns I did not expect. I felt bad for Sebastian and Marisa about the circumstances of their childhoods. Neither had the best after Sebastian’s parents died and Marisa’s mother died. These things attributed to their emotional maturity. The uncle was a piece of work that I could not stand! Ms. Nichols did a great job of drawing me into the the characters lives. You will really enjoy the book.

Three Wishes
I loved, loved, loved this book. I think I went through every emotion you can. Most of all it was heart warming.

Ben was working on his master's degree and decided to make films and create a blog. He was sitting outside his professor's office who was also his advisor one day when he heard a young girl talking to the professor and crying. The comments she made, helped him to determine what he was going to do. Ben wanted to comfort the girl, but she ran off. He always called her his "Crying Girl" and wished he could see her again. Almost three years later he is sitting outside and he is waiting for his professor and he hears the same girl in the professor's office. This time he waited for her to come out and he reached out and held her while giving her his handkerchief for the second time. Ben was soother and wanted to take her pain away. She left him once again.

A few years later Ben gets an email from his professor that he is not going to graduate. Ben asks what he can do to make sure he graduates. The professor tells him there is a tough project that he can do. The professor emails the details and Ben doesn't know if he can handle it. The Make a Wish Foundation needed someone to teach a little girl about filmmaking. The dying girl wanted to leave the movie behind for her mother. Ben didn't think he could handle that. Ben ends up meeting the little girl and sees that her mother is his "crying girl." The little girl impresses him and he agrees to help her. This is where the journey really begins. You need to read the book to see what happens.

I can tell you that there is laughter, tears, contempt, fear, and an amazing little girl who will humble you. There is also a great love story here with some wonderful friends. Ben is such a giving person, but he has his own demons he wrestle with. I loved how Ben gave Charlie (the crying girl) hope and built up her trust in men. Charlie was a strong person who took care of her sick daughter all alone as her parents had abandoned her. It is a really great story and you won't be sorry reading the book.

Dreams and wishes

Each story is really special. I love Ben and Charlie and Ollie so I’m glad that was the story that finished the box set because through all stories Ben is a character who is upstanding and deserves a happy ending. Sebastian and Marisa’s story has this sense of thrill to it and I like that Sebastian thinks he is this horrifying beast and Marisa heals the brokenness in him. Then Gabriel and Isabella what a perfect way to meet and I love how Gabe loves Bella and her kids right away and even thanks her ex husband for the gift he has given in cheating on Bella. I love that this box set included such big stories, and that this was really all about romance and very little sex sometimes that can be a turnoff in books when it’s like every other paragraph is about sex and not about the actual story. There’s sex but it’s special and more apart of the story. Seriously if you love romance you’ll love this box set.

3 books in 1

Other than some editing errors, this 3 volume book of intertwining stories tugged at my heart. Each story was about a different couple, yet in the background the previous couple was NEVER forgotten. I loved that.

Book 1 was Gabriel and Isabella's story. Book 2 was Sebastian and Marissa's story. And Book 3 was Ben and Charlie's story. Each story was as unique as the couple's were.

A must read

Dreams Come True Boxed Set

I read Book 3 before I purchased the Box Set containing Books 1 to 3. All three books interact with each other as the characters are all very good friends. The men went to school with each and have kept their friendships for many years. They each met the woman they love with many problems keeping them apart but finally working everything out in the end. A Very Good Read.

No dream for me

Not what I expected. No character development. No backstory. It seemed like elements were thrown in a kettle with no thought at all. Biggest problem for me is atrocious editing. I had to read whole sections multiple times to figure out what was happening. Needless to say, I won't be reading this author again anytime soon.

To be fair i couldn't finish it.

I couldn't make it through the first one. It was fluff, doused it syrup, and drowning in sugar.
One minor problem and everything else couldn't even be called fairytale because it was over the top happy sweetness.
The writing was good. The grammar was good. But to me this wasn't a story, just happy fluff.

Loved it

this was a great set. There was only one bit of strange. In the first book after the wedding the story reverted to after Halloween but before Thanksgiving.... I think it was an editing error. Hopefully it will be fixed in an update. Otherwise a good story.

Though I would love to know the gender and name of Gab and Bella's baby.

Highly recomended

Emma zinc hold is going to be my new favorite author. The men in theses stories are worthy and charming and true love is the focus. I don't mind sex in a book but this author knows that sex without love means nothing. Each story has a happily ever after and the friendships grow closer as they each find do the one woman for them. Their a iliac to be sensitive and caring and supportive is what we women want in our guys. I recommend these books to any one who wants to feel a special touch of joy and contentment. Funny , chsrming, damaged men who marry spunky , loving women who complete them. SIGH,

Sweet Romances

Emma Nichols is an awesome romance writer. This boxed set is about best friends Gabriel, Sebastian, and Ben. They stuck together no matter what obstacles they encountered, good or bad. When they met the love of their lives, they helped each other to get their girl. This was difficult at times because they were all wealthy. Isabella, Marisa, and Charlie did not grow up with money so they were hesitant to fall in love. Emma has done a good job of continuing their stories in each book so you know what happens. I hope Emma will continue this series.

This is the first book in this series, however and can be read in any order. This amazing novel is about a young women named Isabella who is a single mother of two and a photographer. She has lived a hard life and only dreams of having a real family with love. Gabriel is a Billionaire playboy who vowed he is not the marrying kind. But when he meets Isabella she turns his life upside down. The storyline flows through perfectly. The character's are very realistic and you can't help but fall in love with them. This novel explores the hardships of life in general. Right from the beginning I was capivated. This is a very sweet, romantic, and very enjoyable to read. As there are several secrets to be revealed throughout the book. I highly recommend reading it. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

This is the second stand alone book in this amazing series. Marisa is a young women who opened up her own repurposed and redesigned furniture store who Sebastian has just hired to fix the damage caused by her drunken father in the art gallery. This book is very well written and the storyline flows through perfectly. The character's are very realistic and complex. The story provides intrigue, twist and turns that will keep you captivated. You will find romance which is sweet and sexy, comedy, and drama. You wont want to miss this one as its very intriguing and you want be disappointed. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

This is the third book in this amazing series. This one is about Ben who's school's project is Make A Wish Foundation request to teach a little girl dying with leukemia about filmaking. This story is beautifully written and a very compelling story. The character's are brillant. This book is sweet, sexy, romantic, and a tear jerker. This is a must read as you won't be disappointed. Very nice collection of romances. Each is a stand alone story but books have re-occuring characters. Here is my breakdown of the individual books:

Book 1 - First a Dream
Isabelle is a recently divorced mother. Gabriel is a young executive still living in his father's home. One day when Isabelle is visiting her college mentor she runs, literally, into Gabriel. They have several other chance meetings and begin dating. Gabriel even takes her home to meet his father, but doesn't tell him everything. One day his father stumbles upon the secret Gabriel has hidden from him and is not happy. Will he be strong enough to stand up to his father and show him how much Bella means to him.

Book 2 - Second Chances
Sebastian is a month away from turning 25. His parents will stipulated he was to inherit their estate on his birthday but only if he is married by then, otherwise it was to pass to his uncle. Marisa is about to open a shop where she sells furniture that she renovates. Marisa's father gets drunk and ends up damaging a lot of the displays in the gallery Sebastian manages. When Marisa comes to collect her father she meet Sebastian and they strike a deal for her to fix what she can. They start a relationship but can Sebastian win her over before the month is up? This was a very enjoyable story and the book is hard to put down.

Book 3 - Three wishes
Ben is feeling left out. He struggled through college not really enjoying himself while his friends seemed to thrive from the experience. Now his two best friends are married and he is having trouble getting his last few credits to graduate. His professor gives him an option to earn the needed credits by providing a gift through the Make a Wish foundation. There is a little girl named Olivia who wants to learn how to make a film she can give her mother. Olivia has cancer and doesn't know how much time she has left. Ben agrees and becomes very attached to Olivia and her mother, Charlie. Charlie has never had anyone that she can count on. Can Ben help her to see that she can rely on him?

I highly recommend purchasing the box set because if you read one you will want to read them all.

First A Dream
This is the story of Gabriel and Isabella. They are both likable characters who are seemingly so different but, in reality, have a lot in common. Both were raised without much love and huge family expectations. Both are disappointments to one of their parents. They are better people than the parent they disappointed. Together they are able to overcome the hurdles and realize their dreams.

To me, the story felt rushed. No real drama.

Second Chances
This is the story of Sebastian and Marisa. They are totally different, from totally different worlds. Sebastian is used to refined and tasteful. Marisa is neither of those things. Yet, somehow, Sebastian is smitten with her from the moment he sees her. It was interesting watching their relationship grow. Watching them both grow to realize their true self-worth.

I don't write spoilers so, all I will say is that, in my opinion, the drama was totally contrived. Different color eyes would not have gone unnoticed. Why did Uncle Luc let the mansion decay instead of maintaining it? By doing so, he lived in a ratty place instead of a mansion. That doesn't make sense. Why did Sebastian believe he looked like a monster? He was a teen when his parents died and should have already developed his self-image to a certain degree.

Three Wishes
This is the story of Ben, Charlie, and Olivia. Olivia is precious and, like so many kids in her position, wise beyond her years. I really loved the relationship that developed between her and Ben. I loved the way Ben treated her like she was "normal" while still taking into account her limitations.

I didn't care too much for Charlie. She was unpleasant to Ben way too often. Bringing Olivia's father into the story didn't add drama. It was simply distracting and unneeded, IMHO.

Dreams Come True was somewhat disappointing. I've come to expect better from Emma Nichols. All 3 books need some editing.

First a Dream :
I love how this whole book makes you question something that most people hear about their entire lives. (At least here in the bible belt of the USA.(Oklahoma that is)) Just the angels being evil in part makes this worth reading to me. Once you add in the awesome writing and great overall story you have an absolute winner in my opinion. The entire story draws you in and makes you see what the future of the world could be like and just how awesome it is. From beginning to end I could barely put it down and the ending just made me hunger to read more of this series. You won't regret reading this!!!

Second Chances:
In First a Dream I hated Sebastian, but within just the prologue I couldn't do this anymore. From the beginning I was hooked and only set it down because I was at work and had to get stuff done (and boy was that hard to do). The entire story was so sweet and drew me in. The bit of mystery and action added in were just the right spice. Stories like this make it easier to believe in Happy Endings and True Love which is so hard to do anymore.

Three Wishes:
So amazing and so sweet. It was so heartfelt and just dragged me in. I'm not sure how I would feel if I was going through everything that they do in this story, but this is really beautifully written. Getting to read the story from the male and female sides just makes the story better. I couldn't find anything better to read. This is just wow.... You have to read this to truly understand how wonderful this book is because no amount of praise will do it justice.

This entire series was so amazing that I made sure to buy a friend of mine her own set!!

First a Dream - was a great start in this set - Gabriel and Isabella are well suited for one another. They are from two different worlds - rich versus moderate means. A chance meeting at Isabella's alma mata is all it takes. Isabella had some tough breaks in love and relationships and was not interested. Gabriel was just a rich playboy who got everything very easy except his MBA.
Theses two found out they each had made a lasting impression on each other. However, Gabriel almost blew their relationship out of the water with an omission. I love the adventure they embarked on together..Konnor and Rebecca were so special and needed Gabriel just as much as Isabella did.. A few typos made this not a 5 star read..However, I am going on to see how Sebastian and Ben ( who are friends of Gabriel) fair in their stories..

I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
I loved it my first read by Emma Nichols.
The first story is Gabriel et Isabella story, it was a beautiful story filled with heartbreak, a cheating husband , a crazy mother, a spoiled sister et a wonderful love story et HEA.
The second book is Sebastian et Marisa story it is wonderful at the end.
Begins with a imposter for a Uncle, A alcoholic father et a loving maid.
The last book number Three Wishes is Ben's et Charlie story with Ollie her daughter. Again a rough beginning with angst et drama ends with a survivor et a HEA. I loved how the guys were all childhood friends.
I had a hard time putting the book down. It's a definite recommend.
I can't wait to read more by Emma.

This whole series is perfect.
The stories are very well written and the characters are wonderful.
In the first book we met Gabriel and Isabella, and all that they face in order to stay together.
In the story of Sebastian and Marisa, we learn that both had difficult childhoods, but managed to become great adults, and when they meet, sparks fly everywhere and they have to face some challenges until they get together.
And Ben, Charlie and Olivia's story is the most exciting for me. I had to stop several times due to tears, but it was all worth it.
These are great stories! I highly recommend reading it!

Truly magical box set!

Dreams come true is a beautiful retelling of three fairytales in a very modern world. All three stories Dreams come true, Second chances and Three wishes are based on three friends: Gabriel, Sebastian and Ben. All wealthy and ready to find their perfect mate. Each has its own unique view of love and relationships. They all find their other halves in the most unexpected places. Romantic, heart felt and sometimes funny, these three men will do it all to keep their ladies and have their happily everafter. I just could not put the set down, it is so well written. Loved it so much!

This is a wonderful and intriguing box-set to read and I absolutely loved reading it. There is three complete novels in it and covers Gabriel and Isabella in "First a Dream", Sebastian and Marisa in "Second Chances" and Benjamin (aka Ben) and Charlotte with her daughter Ollie in "Three Wishes" What you will find in these books is drama, suspense, intrigue, some action, emotional feelings, romance, love and happy endings. I would recommend this box-set to people who like to read exceptionally well written and entertaining romance books. You will not be disappointed.

It just keeps getting better

Honestly, the first book is good, the second one is better and the third even better. But, don't skip right straight to book three, you will really miss out on some great stories. And, you will miss out on why Ben deserves the love he finds. Three friends, one isn't really looking for Love, but it finds him. Another doesn't think anyone can love him, but someone does. And the last is lonely but is sure love won't ever come his way, but it comes in a very unexpected package.

Dreams do come true...

Emma Nichols has brought me to laughter, sadness, tears and happiness in this boxed set. The guys are handsome, smart and just plain lovable. How they have dreams and how they make them come true with their love ones is truly magical.
This set was hard to put down once started needing to see why each guy was the way they were, how. No matter what they were there for their friends, their loves, and their families. All I can say is Emma Nichols is a wonderful writer you will love all her books.

This boxed set should come with a warning!!! Reading these will definitely have your emotions running amok! Grab a box of tissues, free up your weekend, relax in a comfy chair and escape off into the emotional roller coaster that Ms. Nichols operates with precision. These books will definitely grab you and hold you until their conclusion. A weekend must for all romance lovers! I have read each one separately, but and very glad to see they are offered in a set!

Great collection of stories about 3 close friends and the women they fall for. I'm surprised that I didn't recognizes the stories as contemporary retellings of well known fairy tales, but that fits perfectly.

My favorite was the third - three wishes - which told the story of Charlie, Olivia and Ben. My heart broke for them, I laughed, I cried, it was just an amazing story with such a great happy ending.

All three stories were captivating.

Quite possibly my new favorite author!

I enjoyed each of these stories and was glad to see the friendships progress from one story to the next. Family ( not just blood relations) is a strong theme throughout each of the books. Nichols makes her characters come to life, I feel like I know them like they could be my friends. I hated to see the series end, i have been telling all my friends about it. Give it a try you won't be disappointed it is definitely worth the read!!
