The first time I met him, my body reacted. It coiled, sizzled, and sparked. I knew I wanted him because he was the first man to make me feel dead and alive at the exact same time.
But within a short conversation, I knew he was unattainable.

Loved loved loved it! It had me laughing and crying and frustrated and hot!
Volt, emotionally betrayed by his girlfriend after he caught her kissing another man, turned his back to her and started enjoying casual sexual relationships. Taylor is a hot, insecure, reserved woman who has never experienced mind-blowing sex or unforgettable orgasms with a guy.
Volt’s unexpected friendship with Taylor is going to change his perceptions of dating. This playboy will also turn her world on its axis. Taylor tries to ignore the tornado of emotion that sweeps through her system whenever Volt is near, but the attraction between them is electric and undeniable. Volt is a sexy man whore with a heart of gold. They can’t help the pull they have together. Taylor tries to deny her feelings for Volt, but she can't seem to stay away from him.
Poor Volt my heart breaks for him and his inability to love. I will be honest I have been routing for Volt that beautifully broken sex god from the beginning. I loved Taylor’s character – she was strong, smart and willing to fight her way through obstacles she was constantly faced with.
Five very worthy stars for an awesome emotional read!! Can’t wait until next installment.
Well now I'm really fucking annoyed. I *thought* I was reading Charge and, ok, it wasn't amazing and I was planning on having a few little rants - about the hero's ego, about the heroine's "non-judgmental" judging, and about authors who don't know how to use the past perfect - but it wasn't bad. Apparently, though, this was just a teaser. Electric, maybe?
Let me level with you here: I never knowingly download samples. I consider them a waste of time. This book is called Charge in my ebook library. It says Charge on the cover in my ebook library. But I turned the page at the end of Chapter Ten and was faced with this:
"Thank you so much for reading this teaser to my new ELECTRIC series. If you enjoyed the teaser, you can preorder CHARGE now. Find out how at http://bit.ly/Charge_blog Thanks for your continued support. If you keep reading, I’ll keep writing. -E.L. Todd"
I wish authors would be up front about how many installments of a book the reader will have to buy to complete what is essentially one book. I just read this one, and pre purchased "charge" thinking it would be the second and final book, only to find out that Charge is really still the first book and that I have already read 70% of it in this book. Now I see it goes on and on in other installments. Bummer, as I really enjoyed this, and will read the rest of the 30% left on the next one, but refuse to pay $5- + for further installments.... had I known this I would never have wasted my time starting it... maybe it was my fault and I did not look into it more, I may just have asumed it was a two part book.. but readers be warned.
Trying to get your foot back into gr when life is more important is hard. Hats off to authors who create storylines and characters that distract. I loved this starter, can't wait for the main event
I love Volt and Taylor. She’s such a normal woman, a lot like me actually, so I totally got her. I loved that she turned him down since she didn’t want meaningless sex. Their friendship is great and I love how they get each other. Obviously, Sarah and him were a thing and that will come back to haunt them, but that’s for the next book.
Volt appears to be your typical alpha male that can have any woman he wants, somewhat true as he often does and his reputation proves it. There seems more to him and it takes Taylor to change our minds.
Taylor just me bed to New York to accept a teaching position at a prestigious High School where parents pay a lot of money to send their kids to this elite school. Most of the kids are actual geniuses. Taylor isn't interested in a one night stand, she's looking for "the one".
Taylor meets Volt at a bar one night while out with her new friend Natalie, who's also a teacher. Taylor is mesmerized just looking into Volts eyes but once she learns he's a player, she puts walls around her heart to make sure Volt can't get in. The more the two talk, the more they've decided they want to be friends.
One night when Taylor gets her heart broke by s guy she wanted to give a chance, she goes to Volt for comfort. He understands her situation better than anyone but is this a turning point in their friendship? I can't wait for the next book to find out!!
I read the teaser Electric and was left wanting more. Charge was advertised for .99 and of course I I pre-ordered it to see if Taylor and Volt ended up together. I was surprised to see I'd have to pay $5 for Spark.... Again for Burn.... And yet again for Combust... Just to finish the story. I really enjoy E.L. Todd's books, and this story was good, but this breaking stories into mini books and making fans pay to keep going is getting old. This author is good enough to write bigger novels and stop the mini series game.
I liked this book and I was te ready for this kind of story, I love how EL Todd show is that a character could develop his personality through a book, no rush at all. Taylor is a teacher in a new school and with new friends, her first encounter with Volt is pure lust and nothing more, she's looking for the Mr.Right and she knows that he's not Volt was not the same after he found out his girlfriend making out with her ex, since that moment he shut his heart forever
Knowing this was a cliffhanger I still read it knowing I would be thoroughly annoyed that id have to wait to see how this story unfolds. Needless to say I enjoyed this book and am eagerly awaiting Oct 2016!
I enjoyed this book, but I'm upset that it was not all about Volt and Tayz. I guess I have to read the next book to find out what happen. I wanted each of the friends to have their own story. I guess I'll to see how this story goes.
I so enjoyed this book. The only fault that I found is that it's a cliffhanger. Good writing, interesting story. This is one author that I really like to read her books.
