When you're with Geronimo Stilton, it's always a fabumouse adventure! Holey cheese, what an adventure! I was off to Niagara Falls with my nephew Benjamin's class. It was a beautiful place -- truly one of the most amazing sights I'd ever seen. But unfortunately, I was surrounded by mischievous young mouselets who were determined to send me over the Falls in a barrel! Oh, would I ever make it back to Mouse Island alive?

I have seen pictures of the niagara falls i have even heard experiences they all just seem wonderful. I really want to look at the view from there. This book partially fulfilled my request as it did take me to the falls.this book is about Geronimo going with the kids to niagara he fell in love(again.)but this time with a teacher unfortunately his love married someone else in niagara false. i rated this book a three because the book as all about love and very silly. My favourite character is Punk rat as he was so good at pranking. i really hope to be able to pull such good pranks especially on may sister who can pull some really good ones My favourite part as when Geronimo was kind to punkrat even though he kept irritating Geronimo and pranking him. I liked that Geronimo saved Punk rat when he was drowning.

Hahaha, so I realize that I am decades older than the intended audience, so my review isn't really one that matters to this book - kids love them, and that's what matters. Still, I thought I'd give the series a try to see what the appeal is. Better yet, I chose the one about Niagara Falls, my second-favourite place in the world (after my hometown. Hamilton, represent!)

It's just that Geronimo is such a sad sack, always falling down, getting hurt, and missing out on the girl. I pity the poor mouse, because nothing goes well for him. He even saves a kid from the whirlpool and just gets his foot stepped on and poked in the eye and hot chocolate spilled on him. Oh, spoiler alert. So it wasn't too enjoyable to read about somebody that I pitied. Also, the emphasized words in different fonts and colours was a little obnoxious to me, but I can see that it would draw kids in, especially ones who might not be big readers.

But the illustrations - oh, the illustrations! They're beautiful! Cartoony pictures that just drew me in every time, especially the ones with scenery. Looking at the Falls in these stunning watercolours, I loved them. And I wondered if they were drawn by hand or digitally, because I am just so impressed by them. Beautiful.

I cackled when they saw a moose (I'm surprised that they didn't sleep in igloos. And play hockey. And go to Tim Hortons.) and there wasn't enough of the Falls for my liking - they could have camped in any old forest and went hiking on any old trail. But I did appreciate the facts about the Falls and nature and all that jazz, and it's nice that even books like this are teaching kids a bit. There were a few parts that I smirked in amusement at, so I can imagine kids would find these funny. They're just not really a book series that I think I would have been overly interested in as a child.

I also can't believe I've written such a long and in-depth review on a Geronimo Stilton book aahahaha.

I liked this book a lot. It was filled with a pretty realistic plot and it was also filled with a lot of interesting facts. Did you know over 790,000 gallons of water fall every second? And some of this water is used for electricity.
At the beginning of the book, Geronimo woke up late and rushed to bring his grandson,Benjamin, to school. Then he accidentally told the class that he was going to take them to Niagara Falls for a week( the bully tripped him, so he dropped his glasses and couldn't read what was on the board. Then he agreed that they should go on this trip and that he would pay for it. When he found out, he was shocked). During the trip, they faced many problems. For example, the bully. He got into trouble a lot and even got Geronimo hurt. They even had to help put out a wild fire. In the middle, the bully fell into the water and Geronimo had to save him. This starts a new friendship. At the end, the teacher got married to her childhood love. Geronimo also starts to like to travel.

I was looking for something easier, shorter, lighter, to read. A co-worker suggested this, since I'd commented that I felt I needed to read more children's fiction.

Definitely short and easy to read! I was distracted by the use of different fonts in bright colors to emphasize certain words - this technique was used a lot. However, I can see where young children would enjoy it. What I did like was the factual information pages that were included throughout the story, such as the history of Niagara Falls, some of the folks that have successfully gone over the Falls in barrels, how to put up a tent, how to build a latrine (the mice are camping while on their field trip), even what to do if you find a baby bird that's most likely fallen out of the nest.

Overall, not sure I'll pick up another one. But I am likely to recommend them to our young readers, as I think they'll enjoy them.

I like how you, author, made yourself as a mouse and in the book you made your mouse save a mouselet. I have been reading your books for, I think, a year I think. I all of them I like so far. Are you going to make another book?

Ace news rodent Geronimo Stilton always wants to make a splash, but he never planned to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel! When a field trip to the Falls takes a very dangerous turn, our intrepid mouse journalist must sniff out a solution.

Field Trip To Niagra Falls is a very good book. this book is about a mouse named Geronimo, who went to Niagra Falls with his nephew for a field trip. The reason why Geronimo went on the field trip was because he liked his nephew's teacher and when the teacher asked Geronimo could he go on the trip he was so obsessed with her he said yes. When Geronimo got to where the mouselets were camping out he was not happy because he is not an outdoor person. Once Geronimo got relaxed and was comfortable camping out, he had a great time with his nephew, the teacher and the other mouselets. Once again this a great book and i would recommend this book to everybody. ALEXIS WORMSLEY-128 PAGES x

Cute book. Geronimo is tricked into taking Benjamin's class to Niagara Falls for a week of camping and he follows through with hopes of getting closer to the teacher. But he has to call his sister Thea a few times to help him set up the camp.....tents, cooking on a fire and toilet facilities for the class. He rescues a "bully" mouse and becomes a hero, but loses out on the girl because she is reunited with her former love. I really did like this because of all the information provided on Niagara Falls.

Story average fare, but the character of Geronimo is very annoying (at least for me). He is pompous, selfish, a stick-in-the-mud and any number of other derogatory adjectives. Nonetheless, I can see how the format of the books with the colourful words and varied text could be appealing to early readers.

Eh. Not that great--more nature than many of the G Stiltons, but we nothing we haven't done before (leaf pressing, anyone?). Though my 6yo did soak up the "what to do if you find a baby bird" sidebar.

It was kind of crazy when Geronimo became best friend furever with Punk Rat the best prankster in Benjamin Stilton's class. He became best friends with Punk Rat because he fell into Niagara Falls and Geronimo saved him just before he drowned.

A nice story where Geronimo goes to Niagara Falls with a group of little mice. It was funny how he kept calling for help with everything (like setting up the tents, getting the cookies fire started, etc.)

All in all, it was fun!

The thing I’ve always loved about Geronimo Stilton books are the pages that aren’t part of the story but just contain some random information related to the setting of the plot.

I remember that this one had one of those pages that I really enjoyed.

This was deemed impossible in real life to have a field trip as extraordinaire as this. Unless you have some money left on your wallet to travel.

The Geronimo Stilton series were by far my all time favorite books to read in elementary school. I am pretty sure I read all of them. This one is about Geronimo's trip to Niagara Falls with his nephew Benjamin. He runs into a problem when all the other students want to send him overboard into the falls! He just wants to return home, safe and sound. These books are so great. They are filled with illustrations along the way that help the reader figure out the story line. They are a great transition from picture books to chapter books. I personally love how colorful and detailed the illustrations were, it made the reading that much more engaging. I highly recommend picking this series up, they are not to disappoint.

field trip to niagara falls is a little story that acts like a reward for my exhausted post-exam self. love how informative this book is, perfect for children who are still learning to navigate through the world. adorable characters and wonderful watercolor art. although, the plot is too abrupt and jumps all over the place, there isn’t a major thread acting as the barrier of the story’s flow, it just goes wherever it wants. the acts are also predictable, remembering this was a children’s story. other than that, this book was a nice reminder of my childhood when i used to obsess over geronimo stilton back in elementary school. very nostalgic and a fun reliever for my inner-child. i feel totally safe reading this and enjoyed every minute of this cute short story.
