Believe it or not, over the years George R.R. Martin has released ten sample chapters from his forthcoming The Winds of Winter, either on his website or reading chapters that have been transcribed at conventions. This book is an unauthorized summary and literary criticism of those ten sample chapters of "The Wind of Winter", It is written humorously, but covers a lot of serious topics. Be warned, however, that these are summaries of sample chapters. Perhaps Martin will change them in their final published form.
Do NOT buy this! Complete waste of money and time!
Not only are these summaries unhelpful, they are rude and disgusting. This person, who claims to be an author, can't even bother to proofread his own writing. He obviously is so full of himself and his own precious sarcastic cynicism, that what he writes is painful to read. He mostly makes fun of the storyline, the characters, and of GRRM. Instead, find the sample chapters on GRRM s website or in the ASOIAF app, and read them for yourself. And don't buy any of his other writings either, if this what his writing is like! I'd LIKE to rate this a half or quarter star - or a zero, but that's not an option.
A poorly written summary, rife with sophomoric humor. A waste of time and money.
I ordered this book because it promised a glimpse of what awaits in The Winds of Winter. I was disappointed. The author's insights were obvious, and his comments are profane. After reading it, I felt like I had been ripped off. Don't waste your time on this one.
