Charlotte Heffington can no more ignore Wes Montgomery's coercion into a short affair than she could forget the erotic experiences he gave her their one night together. After several exciting, pleasure-filled trysts, she starts questioning whether she would be able to walk away unscathed and accept the future her cousin has mapped out for her – or be left to crave the pleasures only Wes could give her. When Wes turns on her, she’s finally had enough of others manipulating her life and vows to take control of her future.
Wes swore off relationships after a betrayal left him bitter towards women, but he reluctantly finds himself drawn to a woman who looked completely out of her comfort zone when she walked into a downtown bar one Friday night. After caving to her inexperienced come-on and his uncharacteristic response, he spends an unforgettable night with her. A week later, a chance meeting reveals her true identity and he feels taken in all over again. In a rash move, he blackmails her into an affair that turns the tables on him when he finds himself feeling things for her he’s never felt for another woman. Hearing she’s engaged shatters his belief in happily ever after again, and his angry tirade when he confronts her separates them on a bitter note.
After learning the truth, Wes tries to make amends, but when that fails, he resorts to drastic, pleasurable means to convince her to give him another chance. Will it be enough?
Blackmailed is the fourth book in the Virginia Bluebloods series and while it can easily be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone, don’t miss the other titles in this incredible series: Blindsided, book one, Bind Me To You, book two and Surrender To Me, book three.
DISCLAIMER: This book contains the spanking of adult women, and explicit sexual scenes including BSDM. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase this book.
I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.
I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. I read this as part of the Determined To Master box set. It features another of the circle of friends, Wes, and a sweet, innocent woman named Charlotte, who wants to cross things off her bucket list. When she spends a hot night with a demanding, dominating Wes, she has no idea who he is, nor does he know who she is. And when he finds out, let's just say he was a complete and total asshole about it. In fact, he's an asshole throughout the entire story and that's why the 2 stars instead of the 4 it would be if he weren't such a jackass.
Dear Readers , Pushing out of our comfort zone can work wonders . This story is simply one of my favorite. This series every couple pulls at the heart & the heat in the heart rises . Love each one . Yet when two hurt hearts meet & comfort each other its something special . When the blistering scams of a loved one gets flipped back on them you cheer. Yeah baby . How you like them apples .
All in All this series is HOT STEAMY . Respectful sex club play & trusting someone to take you out of your comfort zone . Not judging you ... simply giving you experiences . But I do love the added touch when they fall deep they are not big on sharing after that. One for team love ❤️
After Wes Montgomery takes pity on Charlotte Herrington in a downtown bar, they end up having a memorial erotic night together. A chance meeting, a week later, reveals her true identity to Wes and feeling betrayed, he blackmailed her into an affair. So for a month Wes introduces Charlotte to the BDSM lifestyle and his friends. During this time she is careful not to share any personal information so when Wes finds out that Charlotte is engaged, he feels doubly betrayed and storm away. He is reluctant to listen to her explanation but after he learns the truth about her situation he does everything in his power to get her back. The twists and turn in this story will keep you on your toes.
BJ Wane is a very gifted writer who once again proves that with "Blackmailed", # 4 in the Bluebloods Series. Charlotte is a young lady who's beaten all the odds to survive childhood cancer. Now she's on the prowl looking for one night of TLC. If you know what I mean ... wink wink. Wes is a man NOT ready for his next conquest, but he knows Charlotte needs protection from the crazy single life. What these two don't bargain for is that the heart will love who it wants to. There's only one tangle to that ... Wes is going to blackmail Charlotte into doing the "wild thang" for a month and then letting her go. WHAT ?? This is what he thinks anyway. Number 4 is good on it's own but if you read 1-3 first, it's even better !! Try it out.
This story has lots of intriguing twists, but the best things are discovering new things with an arousing stranger. I really enjoyed this story it almost was better than the first book in this series except it got a tiny bit too bogged down in her crazy cousin's blackmail drama. Otherwise it was the best book in that it had an epilogue that tied up the story very well... I am curious who is in the next story as the guys didn't add another friend or two to the Belize trip...I definitely think this is a great read. The whole series is good.
Awwe its cute! Wes the last of the alpha group spots Charlie trawling for a pickup and "assumes" he knows her and what makes her tick. He could not be more wrong as she spent her childhood being treated for leukaemia and her teens wrapped in cotton wool as an overprotective relative tried to save her from everything and everyone. Now 10 years clear she has a bucket list, the first is a one night stand with a stranger......
I have enjoyed the Virginia Blueblood series and sad to see it come to an end. BJ Wane has kept me captivated and the pages turning with all four books. There are four central characters, and all four of these men are walking, talking, sinful temptations. They have been childhood friends from wealthy, influential families, and they have bucked their parent's aspirations and created their own lives, self-worth, and have remained the best of friends and staunchest supporters of each other.
When we met Wes, he was involved with Katie, but their split leaves everyone confused, He won’t talk about what happened, and he was the one they thought would be marrying first. Wes is at a business meeting in downtown Richmond, at an upscale bar, he notices the lovely lady that sits alone with the deer-in-the-headlights look. When she leaves alone, he also leaves but shocked to see her enter a seedier bar, and he follows and ends up rescuing her. When she propositions him to join her at her motel, it’s a one night stand, so why not, but he tells her, it will be my way, my rules.
Charlotte Heffington, aka Charlie, has lived the most sheltered life, and at twenty-nine, she has a bucket list and plans on crossing items off and living for a change. Number one on the list, have sex with a stranger. Charlotte has always played by the rules, doing what she was told, but she wants to experience things she was always denied because of being sick and spending so much time in hospitals. To experience the most erotic night of her life to then being blackmailed, dealing with her dying father, her cousin’s threats, and then to find the man she has only known as Wes is someone she and Sister Catherine are hoping will help the Children’s home, finds her in a new situation.
The plot is full of angst, passion, new experiences, control, emotional situations and being pulled in so many directions you don’t know what to do. From being blackmailed by a family member trying to force an unwanted marriage, her passion trying to help disadvantaged children, to being blackmailed by another into sexual servitude, has Charlie being a pawn in so many games. The plot twists have you admiring Charlie for sticking to her agreement, never revealing the truth, her jubilant experiences of the simple things with childlike enthusiasm to her ultimate surrender to the passion that Wes helps her experience. The interaction and dialog of the characters are heartwarming, emotional and even entertaining. The chemistry between Wes and Charlie is explosive with passion and desire, even if they each try to deny their true feelings. Sometimes in life, you have to ignore everyone else and allow yourself the freedom to feel and experience life, love and happiness, no matter what the cost, and maybe, just maybe, in the end, you will get your happily ever after ending.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Each of the four men featured have been sexy, engaging and passionate as they have found their women and created a new life for themselves. Wes Montgomery is no different in Blackmailed.
After having his heart shattered by the most painful betrayal anyone could experience, he takes time to focus on his business, an amusement park for kids and families. He keeps women at a distance because he isn’t sure he is willing to give his heart away again, only to receive it back in tiny, fractured pieces. One night while conducting personal business at a bar, he witnesses a woman who looked out of place and lost. Just because his heart wasn’t willing to love again, it didn’t mean his honor and duty to protect women was on full alert. He followed her out, watching where this wayward woman would head next and sure enough, she needed protection and maybe a night at her hotel room.
Charlotte Heffington had a sheltered childhood but not for the normal reasons you would expect. Being a rich woman didn’t bring her the satisfaction that she wanted so she made a bucket list of things she wanted to experience before she died. She knew how life could be cut short and the will to live before her expiration date drove her to try things that had been denied to her growing up. This night, her bucket list item was to have sex with a stranger and Wes was happy to fulfill her wish.
One night between two strangers, will send you on a journey full of pain, laughter and steaming hot passion. I really enjoyed watching Charlotte break down Wes’s walls as he gave her everything she longed for in life. But with every good romantic relationship, there is controversy and devastation that will lead the reader to heartbreak. Charlotte has a family that will stop at nothing to get what they want, even if it involves blackmail. Her number one passion in life are children whose lives are thrown into the system. It was emotional for me to watch as she tries to decide which path to follow, when her heart is begging for both, the kids and Wes. How far will they both willing to go to be together and how many lies will they have to confront before the truth will be found?
Each book in this series can be read alone, but I strongly urge you to read them all. Not all four books were five stars for me, but each are certainly on my list of books I want to reread. The author’s style of writing invites the reader into the story and gives us a new book boyfriend with each book. I will certainly be watching for more from this author.
Blackmailed by the awesomely talented BJ Wane, is the fourth book in the Virginia Bluebloods series. This time, we visit funpark owner, Wes Montgomery. If you weren’t aware, or may have forgotten, Wes had a huge falling out with his last girlfriend/submissive. He’s been mum on the subject with both family and friends. Charlotte is a rich woman who’s being sold into marriage by her cousin, all over a merger. He hangs her charity over her head. She decides to go to a bar, looking to forget her troubles. Wes is there, but he doesn’t pay attention to her, and she doesn’t hit on him. She ends up in another bar she should’nt. Despite himself, Wes sees her go in and decides to check on her, she’s having a “Situation.” They end up together, but Wes ends up coldly walking away from her. As fate would have it, he runs into her again, but he gets the wrong idea and decides to blackmail her into a relationship with him. A limited time, D/s relationship. Charlie once again ends up in the wrong place/wrong time. A huge misunderstanding just as she’s settling in could cost her everything. I swear, this series, and BJ’s writing, just keeps getting better and better! I really wish it could go on for a long, long time. A sequel perhaps? A spin-off? That club must have a bunch of available Doms to write about? (I'll take 2 thanks!) I realize, I’m totally fan-girling here, but other than the fact I wanted to smack Wes upside the head with a 4x4, I just totally loved this book! It may be time for a new category on my Kindle. “Books I intend to read over, and over ad-infinitum.”
This contemporary romance is full of suspense. We learn what has been haunting Wes ever since his relationship with Katie abruptly ended. I began this book eager to learn more about Wes and while that never changed, I was drawn to Charlotte ("Charlie"). If only I could go inside the story and give her a hug... While in the book, I would want to punch a certain greedy bastard, but luckily that is accomplished by someone else.
The story opens with Charlotte completing the first item on her bucket list: sleep with a stranger. One twist -that stranger is Wes and both he and Charlie have instant chemistry. Will Wes ever be able to trust another woman again after Katie's deception and betrayal? Will Charlotte have the courage to pursue the man she truly desires?
Like all the other books in the series, there is plenty of explicit sex scenes that make you pant. The four main male characters may have their happy endings (pun intended), and now it is time to hear about Dale and his close buddy, Eli. A menage romance, perhaps?
What an amazing continuation of this series! This book was just as entertaining and thoughtful as the previous three books in this series. I do recommend that you read this book in the correct order as the previous three stories set the tone for this one. I loved the two main characters, Charlie and Wes. The author has a wonderful way of shaping her characters so that not only do you like them – you love them. Charlie is just an amazing lady that although she comes from incredible money, is someone that I would love to sit down and talk with all day. I think at the end of that day our relationship would be one of friendship and respect. Wes is just an incredible dominant man that has so many upside perks. Their relationship in this book has difficult times and a rocky beginning but is one that you feel will prosper for many years. The author also does a great job providing updates on all the couples from the previous books. Definitely a must read!!!
I very much enjoyed this book, it was superbly written. It was nice to finally find out why Wes's relationship with Kate had ended in a previous book. Charlotte who's nickname is Charlie has been dealing with a form of leukemia since she was a child which caused her father to be very over protected of her as she grew up which then meant she had missed out on a lot of things. She met Wes when she decided to check off her bucket list,to have a one stand with a complete stranger. My heart went out to Charlie because of all that she missed. My emotions came in to play again another few times when Wes kept putting Charlie in the same category as Kate. Both Charlie and Wes were in the wrong for not being total honest with each other. But in the end the author did a superb job how she ended the book. I think this book can be read as a standalone but the reader would enjoy it that much more if read in order of the series.
Love, Love, Love this series. I have read all 4 of them. Also have read several books by this author and have never been disappointed. Even thought this is a series each can definitely be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read them all and in order since there are nuances that carry over from book to book. The characters are all real, that is well developed with lots of emotional baggage that needs healing. Also the plot is well developed with suspense and lots of erotic spanking and sex along the way. This book was hard to put down as fast paced and wanted to know how the series ended. Enjoy.
This was a worthy end to the series. The emotion was heartfelt. Charlie's struggles when pulled by the main male characters in her life was painful but inspiring as she showed courage and fortitude and she stood up for herself in the end. Wes also struggled because of his own baggage and perhaps should have grovelled a bit more at the end but Charlie was generous and forgiving. Thoroughly enjoyable read!
I've really enjoyed all of the books that I've read in this series & with this being the final of the friends I'm sad to see the end of it. All stories have had similar veins but each have been individual & this is no exception. My heart ached for Charlie who was in bad situations all around her. I also loved the glimpses into the insecurity present in Wes. A great conclusion.
