“I crave a dangerous kind of love. One that breaks hearts and bed springs.” - Michael Faudet
LANA
My father betrayed his club, and now, they want me dead.
I have no one else to turn to, nowhere else to go. My dad was the only family I had. Our home was the only haven I’ve come to know.
In a final attempt to spare me from peril, my father made him promise to take care of me.
Him. Jeremiah Chase. He goes by the name of Bane.
Jaded, tough, rough and often cruel, Bane took me under his care and protected me as much as he could. But there’s something about the way he treated me... about the way he looked at me... about the way he touched me... that made me think that he wasn't just about honoring the final wish of a fallen man.
It was as if I was some kind of property.
It was as if I was his.
And that’s not even the scary part.
No matter how hard I try, I couldn’t seem to resist his claim over me. A great part of my soul desires him... a deep yearning... an unyielding thirst for the comfort of his presence.
People want to kill me... but the mere thought of him makes my fears go away.
That should make me feel safe... but it doesn't. He's trouble. I know it in my gut.
There are a millions reasons why I should avoid him. But none of them compare to the one reason that makes me resist them all.
BANE
I’m the old soldier, the grizzled veteran, the last bastion of the club's glorious past.
She’s a rat’s daughter, a dead girl walking, someone who has been sentenced to hell for the sins of her father.
We have no business being together, and I don’t have time for the f*cking mushy crap that someone like her would expect from me.
Besides, she’s young enough to be my daughter. She’s barely out of high school, and she carries with her a $hitload of drama that I don’t need at this point in my damn life.
But whenever she utters the softest of words... whenever she’d fidget nervously as she bites her lips... whenever she’d wrap her frail arms around my waist and rest her pretty face against my back as my bike peaks at 80... some f*cking feeling pokes at my heart... a gentle prod that lingers longer than a bullet wound...
And it makes me wonder...
Could this be...
No, it couldn’t.
It shouldn’t!
Old dogs like me ain’t gonna learn any new tricks no more...
Especially when this dog is bred for decadence and violence.

This just about the worst MC book I have ever had the misfortune to read!!! The hero is a flucking bastard and the poor heroine had to watch them put her father down for "ratting" his MC in an effort to protect her. I hated him most of all cause at 41 and her 18 he is just one sick bastard. I can't even go here now! That's all kinds of wrong! He is such a whore he can't even remember the names of the slut he just slept with. And descriptive sex with others that's all good? Why not start the book on a low note. The author tries and fails to add drama with rival gangs and club rules but it's all crap. Now if I was the heroine I would have left that first morning with the ATM card her dad gave her and lived in a homeless shelter. Hell even a strip Club would have been better then this club house. That's not my kind of book at all Also, don't even get me started on the atrocious writing here! Wow and English is my second language. I can seriously say this book needed an editor who knew what she or he was doing. I am sure even with all the mistakes fixed in this book the story would still suck and the hero would still be an asshole! Btw I read a review hating how much the heroine cried for almost 3 days following the murder of her father. So when dad is killed almost in front of your eyes trying to protect you, you are only allowed to cry for what? like two minutes a half hour? Really? Man that's cold! It give me freezer burns. My final thoughts, Honestly just skip this nonsense. As always Happy reading.

I liked the book until the ending. It just ruined it for me. Through the whole book the girls hated her then 4 pages at the end the girls are crying. I was like wtf just happened. The book is filled with drama and sex but to romance.
I think this was a good book. Its not you're typical mc romance as far as language goes. But I think it was well written. I gave it four stars because of some spelling errors that occurred through the book like "he" instead of "she" or him instead of her. But with that aside very well written. I think it could have gone further with the story the potential was most definitely there. But still good!
Well, the idea of this book was good and it had a lot of potential but, the grammar was atrocious! He and her and him and his and so on got mixed up all the time and you had to go back and reread to understand who it was talking about. I could get through that (even though it took me longer to read it) but overall the H Bane talked like he was suppose to be Irish or something and was illiterate to boot. Just poorly written and no editor to spell check. Kind of just ended also. Not going to read another book by this author unless something wonderful shows up on my radar.
I couldn't stop thinking about this book and it's story line. In a way I found that you had to read in between the lines to understand it. Sure often times there were grammatical errors and there were parts where things could have gone better. But in all it was still a great short story. I think the author could go back and revise Lana and Bane's love story. There are many questions that I know lots of readers have about this and there are holes that need to be filled in. But in the mean time, it is what it is.
