Immortal Supremacy: A Roderick Chronicles Novel (Cursed Immortals Book 11)

The love story of Roderick and Rachel. The world is changing but not for the good. The immortals are on the run, government are making laws to hurt them down. Will everyone make it though this changes? Great story.

Just finished reading “Immortal Supremacy” (The Judas Chronicles Book 8), by Aiden James and my oh my, what an adventure that was. I am never disappointed after reading one of Aiden’s books, and this time is no different. I have found one of my new favorite authors in Aiden James, and am so looking forward to reading so much more of his work. The Judas Chronicles will continue with “Immortal Storm” Book Nine, due out in October 2016. I am just blown away by his masterful talent of putting together a fantastic story time and time again. Well done Mr. James, well done indeed.

Synopsis: William Barrow (aka Judas Iscariot) has moved on to the afterlife…. At long last, Roderick Cooley takes center stage!!

Nearly a year ago I contacted Mr. James and asked him if the secondary character, Roderick, would be receiving his own story. He, very kindly, explained that he was working on a book with his beautiful wife and didn't expect to revisit Mr. Cooley for a few years. Thankfully, we didn't have a long wait.

Roderick was always an intriguing character, and now we can glimpse inside his head! He has a, "V for Vendetta", vibe about him that didn't fail to impress. Cooley isn't just some one liner hero. He's vastly intelligent and brings the knowledge and experience of an immortal to the table.

The story was fast paced filled with continent jumping, old friends from Aiden's other worksThe Vampires' Birthright (Lifeblood Legacy Book 2), love, loss and an epic battle at the end. Epic! The villains are nothing to joke about. Mr James also loves to scatter historical facts throughout. These can be fun especially for Kindle readers who can highlight and further investigate the facts.

Mr. James has set the groundwork for an exciting new series that promises to entertain! If you enjoyed the Judas Chronicles staring Barrow you're going to love the more mature storytelling of Roderick.

When the Judas Chronicles came to a close, it left many of us craving more of Rachel, Cedric, and most of all, Roderick. With Immortal Supremacy, Aiden James gives us exactly what we wanted. With the departure of his dear friend William Barrow, Roderick picks up the pen and continues the journal that William started. As in the past, Roderick's way is hampered by some extremely bad characters. His long-time nemesis, Krontos, is back with a vengeance. And if that isn't bad enough, he has decided to stir up the ancient Nephilium to help his cause.
On the side of good, we find some familiar faces. Mr. James has pulled in characters from his wonderful vampire series, Lifeblood Legacy. The powerful vampire king, Gustav, and some of his cohorts are helping Roderick in his battle with Krontos. It was such fun to find these characters in the story.
This installment in the Judas Chronicles is the perfect gateway between the former viewpoint of Judas and the new one of Roderick. The story was quite intense and had me reading straight through to see what happens. The best part? Mr. James will soon be starting on the next installment!

AFTER JUDAS IS GONE

I read THE COMPLETE JUDAS CHRONICLES, books one through seven, not knowing there was a continuation written from Roderick's point of view. Roderick was Judas' best friend over the centuries, and in his journals, he spoke often of the interaction between the two of them. It was nice to see things from his point of view this time.
An old enemy must be faced and defeated, or the world will never be the same and not in a good way. Unlikely immortals join forces to battle an evil Hungarian, whom Judas and Roderick had tried to defeat in the past. Would they be successful this time?
I'm not into vampire stories as a rule, but they weren't prevalent in this story so it wasn't so bad. But it just amazes me that I'm into this series at all honestly, because supernatural stuff just isn't my thing, but these books are great.

This story was a wonderful change of pace. The characters seemed more intense then the previous books based on William Barrow (aka Judas Iscariot.) I am not saying those were slow books but the influx of a "new" main character really juiced it up.

Keep rocking Mr. Aiden James and your secret partner( I mean wife.)
