Rate this book

An excellent collection of essays with the common thread of a love of wine. Stories about travel, about work, about family. An excellent escape. I like collections because some authors are able to hold my attention better than others, even if the topics are less to my liking. The book also lists other places to find each author's writings. It inspired me to do some of my own. Writing a themed essay is much less daunting of a goal than much else. I'll be on the lookout for similar.

Most of this compilation was an exercise in narcissism. The major exception that made it worth slogging through was Bob Blumer's essay on his adventures harvesting Pinot Noir in Burgundy.
