Beatrice King loved her work at the Whitebridge Renaissance Fair. Dressing up in those marvelous costumes and just getting to talk to so many new people. But what she really loved were the two men who played the knights at the fair. She couldn’t get them out of her mind and it was even worse when she walked in on the two men with a volunteer.
Finn Macmillan and Sebastian Kol had a secret that made them like brothers. Outcasts of their people, they had to maintain secrecy. Finn had his nature as a dragon shifter that needed to be kept under control. Finding the lonely Sebastian, who was a bear shifter, Finn took him under his wing. The fair was the perfect location for them to fit in.
Sebastian and Finn both notice Beatrice; she is a true black beauty. Sebastian wants to get to know her better, but will he be able to talk Finn into mixing business with pleasure? Finn has always thought relationships with co-workers were a bad idea. Who will win the battle?

Quick easy read

This was a very quick read. While short it did have a good grasp of backstory for the characters. I didn't feel overly rushed and it ended more of a happily for now than a happily ever after. I loved how the faire played into the story and gave a great backdrop for two lost shifters to find some romance. Beatrice was not your typical girl and I like how she was written.
It was a little overwhelming that this story was so short and then there were a dozen or so after it. I didn't read them all because they didn't appeal to me. I kinda wished I had just had the one main story with only one bonus story. It felt more cluttered with so many at the ending. By the time I got to the end, I forgot the main story to review.
