The beginning of this story completely breaks my heart, but this book is fast paced, with several twist and turns that will keep you reading every single word until the very end!

Not at all what I was expecting, definitely not a typical romance book. I loved it but wanted just a tad more, not sure what, just a bit more to connect with all the characters.

The Wrong Side of Rock Bottom is a compelling stand alone by Jennifer Foor.

Never Surrender!!!

Rogan Marks, a struggling addict who realized it was time for him to grow up and kick his addiction into next week. He lost his wife to the same narcotics she got him addicted to, a little while later his lost custody of his daughter Mila to his in-laws who couldn't stand him.

Rogan did whatever it took to get his daughter out of his judgmental, arrogant in-laws' clutches. The love Rogan had for his daughter was the most pure, honest and unconventional love.

He made mistakes and learned from them, Rogan wanted better for his little angel. After the way his wife was raised, he was sure Mila was better off with him than with her maternal grandparents.

Starting over in a new city wasn't easy but for Mila, Rogan was willing to risk everything. With the help from some remarkable people and a young woman named Sadie, Rogan was able to keep Mila safe and loved.

Sadie Willman was on the run from her problems as well. As she and Rogan got to know each other, they admired each other's strength. There was an undeniable attraction between them but obstacles got in their way.

As they both overcame the hurdles, they realized that they were just what the other needed to heal their souls.

THE WRONG SIDE OF ROCK BOTTOM is a full length standalone novel by Jennifer Foor. This was different from Mrs Foor's other books, it was from Rogan's POV.

Drug addiction and abuse are things that happen in our society frequently. Jennifer Foor did a marvelous job. 5++++

Amazing, but not for the faint of heart...

WOW. The one will tug at your heartstrings. It is written so well, I can see the chaos unfolding even if I can't imagine living through this (or even wishing on my worst enemy). But this poor man has to live through it, as I'm sure other people do as well. Don't get me wrong, it isn't all sad, there is humor, suspense, passion, surprise, fear, paranoia! Will definitely give you the perspective from the bottom. And now a bit about the story...

Rogan and Etherly married young and have a two year old. They are getting by and seem happy, but that could be the drugs talking. Rogan had a job and supports his wife and daughter. Etherly is from the right side of the tracks and no longer speaks to her family. It was supposed to be only one more time. One last dance with the devil. The pills had Rogan feeling (or not) good, calm. But then Etherly pulled out the hard stuff. He pleaded with her not to do it... This is a great story about why "just one more time" may be once too many.

Favorite passage: “This place freaks me out, and you seem pretty harmless. I mean, I’ve never heard of a serial killer who brings a toddler along for shits and giggles.”

I received "Wrong Side of Rock Bottom" as an ARC for an honest review. This is a very intense read, it gives you insight into drug addiction & all the struggles drug addicts face on a daily basis, the affect it takes or can take on families of drug addiction. Rogan just wants to give his wife Etherly & their daughter Mila the world as they deserve, the only problem is Etherly & Rogan are addicted to drugs. Rogan wants to get clean & help Etherly get clean so they can raise their daughter together in a nice, normal home, they decide one more time then they're done but something goes wrong destroying their world. Rogan is now facing the hardest decision of his life, raise his daughter alone & live looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life. Sadie is running from the law when she meets Rogan & Mila at her abandoned/foreclosed home they are "squatting" in. Since Sadie wants to leave the country, she knows who Rogan is & that he's running from the law also, she decides to go with him & help him get across the border. This is an amazing story, but definitely not for the faint of heart. Very different from anything I've ever read from Jennifer Foor but so worth reading!!!!

Trying to figure things out

Life is hard all on its own but when you add drugs to the mix I guess you just up your game.Jennifer just showed us how hard it can be when we mix drugs with life.Drugs ruin lives and families and make you do things you wouldn't do.
I really felt my heart break when Rogan had to go throughi so much after the loss of his wife,I know this is just a book but she wrote the truth.Trying to figure things out when everything has gone wrong. This book maybe hard to read but it speaks the truth thanks for putting it out there..

The wrong side of rock bottom

Awesome book! I love this story. It made me sad thinking Ryan was not going to see his baby girl. I love the way Sadie came along and made this family complete. This story also reminds you how drugs can destroy families. Thank you Jennifer for this story.

This book is not a typical Jenn Foor book but I loved it. This issue is something that needs to be brought to light both drugs and parental rights. I read the book in two sittings. Scratch that I devoured it. Work got in the way of my reading. You must read this book!

DNF, The main character is too screwed up for my tastes, I couldn't get into it from the very beginning. Maybe it got better but I doubt it.

I liked how this showcased disease and desperation. And how parenthood led to behavior changes. I thought the emotional portions of the book were very realistic
