When I first started reading this book, I took an instant dislike to Sloane Huyler. The haughty, "rich-bitch" socialite really got my back up. It took quite a few more chapters before I began to warm to her, especially when I thought, just like in the book, that she got what she deserved. But the more I read, the more I found myself feeling sorry for her. When things began heating up between Sloan and Randall Parker, I found myself willing their hot and heavy joining to progress...until Randall started keeping things from Sloane and was implicated in being involved in trying to send her to jail. Then there was the drunken groping of an ex while on a date with Sloane at a charity event...that didn't earn Randall any points from me. There are a lot of characters to like, and some to hate, in this book, and Randall ended up erasing all of his negatives in the end. Once I warmed to Sloane, I found I really enjoyed the book, the characters (although the abrupt and nasty lawyer had me wanting to bitch-slap someone), and the story-line. Great read.

So glad I read Beholden after Bedazzled, even though it could have been read as a stand-alone. Madison Michael is a miracle worker and completely redeemed Sloane in my eyes. I really thought going into this story there was no way I would a) feel sorry for Sloane, and b) end up championing her HEA. The story and characters were so well written and developed nicely. Loved reading as the friendships developed amongst the women and seeing more of the male friendship dynamics....truly a wonderful book! Would definitely recommend this book to others.

Sometimes it takes the worst events to find your forever

Ohhhhh Myyyyyyy

I love this book. It has so much heart.. It also has a different and interesting story. I love the characters. Not just the main characters, the author took time to really bring out the men and their girls. It was very well edited, too, or the author kept me so fascinated that I didn't notice any. That is so important. Some books are hard to really enjoy because of poor editing. I will read more of Madison's books. This was my first.

Little did I dream I would read a book with the 'witch' from the preceding book of the same series. The hero had plenty of patience.
