Still confused and mega intrigued but there are definitely some things that are becoming more clear. As always the steam level is through the roof although this one was super sweet too.
This book was very intriguing and mysterious, I stayed up because I couldn't put this book down. It makes you want to know more though, I didn't know if Hannah was time traveling in different erotica zones or if she was in some sex club fantasy (where all your dreams come true) Lol. I enjoyed this very much. But i need more. ;)
OMG! This was my favorite so far! I loved how he protected and cared for Hannah!! I didn't want her to leave!! Door Four does sound a bit ~interesting~. ;-)
Excellent writing from a very clever author. I read Door Five a few years ago, which was also interesting, but I had more of a connection with this story. It really tugs at the heart strings. The premise didn't sit well at first, Hannah having been bought, but we gain sympathy for hero Conrad when we learn about his past and the dynamic changes. Speaking of change, everything changes fast in this strange erotic universe where we're never really certain of what's happening or who it's happening with. It's hot but frustrating. I'm tempted to go back and read the entire series from the beginning, reread the 2 stories I've already read and read book 8, where I've heard all will be explained. Focusing strictly on book 3 (which is hard to do, having read the end of this book where things get incredibly strange), we get some really tender moments, which I loved, and plenty of erotic fun. Jasinda Wilder's definitely got something unique here. I've got book 7 in my kindle and may check it out next.
Gosh! It's really hot today Conrad Killian you have my heart.
This series is heating up quickly and I am so glad the whole series is out! My favorite guy so far appears to be a reincarnation of the same guy each door Hannah goes through.
This is an interesting concept for a series which is seriously erotica in the full sense of the word.
This so far is my favorite door #3! It's so deliciously and dangerous and sweet at the same time. I can't seem to stop reading for more than a few hours to rest my eyes.
The first two books in the series lacked a decent plot for me. It seemed to just be a reason to write hot sex scenes. In book 3 the black room starts with the MC or P.O.V. is purchased from a man and taken deep into the wilderness, a few days ride by horse to the man's home. At first she doesn't want to like him, he did after all purchase her. Then she got to know him, and sympathized with him. Conrad was nothing but nice to Hannah throughout the short story...and there was a villain this time who came into play as a stranger then broke in and takes Hannah.
Yes in this book they each have names, finally something to call the characters other than "he" "she" "him" "her". I did like the ending, it sounds like it's leading straight into the fourth room/book. Same two characters Hannah and Conrad. It was nice that this book had more of a story format to follow. I hope the rest of the series follows this path. Even if it's different characters, to have names is a nice touch.
Well, I can't say I got more enlightened but I enjoyed the story very much. The love scenes are as always full of sizzling heat and emotions and it's like a movie in my head the perfect way it's described. Normally I would say something about the characters and if I feel a connection to them or if I get to know them but this series is a puzzle to me........... I think the women(main character) is the same all the time and the same goes for the male character because of the way they are described. I feel like there's some connection between the story that's revealed to me a little more in each story without me even knowing it. Omg, I'm hooked......next book!!!!!!!
I received an ARC for an honest review of this work. Reminds me of Johanna Lindsey's and Linda Lael Miller's western romances, the descriptions were on point. This part of the story broke my heart, but I loved it. The chemistry between our hero and heroine is on fire. You want to open the next door quickly.
Is it possible for each book to get better then the one before? It's totally happening. Book three is even hotter, and the plot continues to thicken (among other things).
WHAT IS HAPPENING??? This is going to be my review for each book. This is getting ridiculous. I almost just want to read the last one so I know what the hell is going on.
“Once you enter, anything goes. No fantasy--however dark and dirty and depraved it may be--is forbidden. You have no past, no inhibitions, no morals...and no memory. All you have to cling to is the memory of a scorching touch, a searing kiss, the wet slide of skin on skin, and the heat of breath across your flesh. Step forward... Turn the knob... Step through into THE BLACK ROOM.” (Book #1)
“Silence. Perfect, utter silence. A drowning quiet. A longing, deep and unfulfilled, soul-deep, a bone-deep need for something I cannot have; the first sensation. Pang of loss, gnaw of guilt, acid bite of shame, burning heat of lust, a deep delicious soreness in all the right places—all of these sensations roil and coil and mingle together, wedded; the second sensation. I open my eyes; the third sensation. I’m in the room of black doors.” (Book #2)
The Black Room Series By Jasinda Wilder and Jade London kept me enthralled from beginning to end. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this series, but the synopsis intrigued me so much that I went on a one-clicking frenzy and snapped up the entire series to devour- and devour them I did. The books are all quite short, quick and easy reads. But each one packs a punch, keeping you guessing, and completely engrossed by the story. I had so many questions right from the outset. There is a real mysteriousness to the whole story that had me trying to guess where the it was leading, and entirely unsure of the outcome. Each book adds another layer to this complex and intriguing story- there are so many facets, which when layered on top of one another begin to build a truly fascinating story. From book one where we are really not sure where we are, how we got there, or what the heck is happening, the black room, all the doors, all the discoveries, and encounters, book after book, door after door, layer upon layer- things are never quite as they appear- and they way this series/story is pieced together, and the ‘revelation’ at the end was really clever! This book/series is HOT, erotic, dark, delicious, and unputdownable. I read the entire series back to back- and enjoyed every second. This is definitely a story/series I won’t soon forget. It’s one I can see myself revisiting again in the future. Brilliant!
Having downloaded the odd numbered books of this series with a free offer, I skipped Door #2 and went right to #3, not realizing the stories would be connected. I was very unsure of whether I'd like this series, so didn't want to pay for the rest of the books until I gave another a try. #1 didn't do a whole lot for me, so I didn't know if i'd continue. Having surmised a little bit of #2's story, I quickly caught up to Conrad Killian and Hannah. Out of the two I've read so far, this one was lightyears better for a storyline than the first. I was actually disappointed when it ended. And confused...what do you mean she has to go? It has to be this way?
It's like choose your own adventure... but filthy. And this is by far my favourite. The first two just aren't necessarily my thing. But well-rounded characters? Cabin Trope? One Bed Trope? Filth with feelings?! Holy mother of ovaries, that's my dirty jam, right there. But now I want the MC's full story. I want more dammit. I don't want this next door. ... That's a lie. I want to see where this adventure is going. But I don't know what's going to trump Hannah and her broody horseman. Because, swoon.
Okay this has been my favourite so far, I wanted Hannah to stay behind door number three!
I'm secretly hoping that at the end of the series she gets to choose to re-enter one forever and if so I want it to be this one.
This is such a unique and exciting series, nothing is predictable and it is so damn erotic!!!
Footnote: My OCD cannot cope with the hygiene stuff, travelling for several days and then getting naked with no washing is playing on my mind, actually a shower between each book when she is in the black room would make me feel much better!
DOOR THREE is my favorite of the series so far. I think that maybe because while reading Hannah and Conrad’s story (YES! We have names) it dawned on me that this could easily have been a standalone novel by Ms. Wilder. There were so many circumstances and elements that could’ve been expanded on in a world all its own. Hopefully we’ll be getting more pieces to this puzzle as in the glimpse of DOOR FOUR the characters are still called Hannah and now Mr. Killian.
The blurb lured me in. I'll admit I have not read the first couple in the series. I grabbed this one expecting the bdsm and and something...well, more. I was left highly disappointed, and unsatisfied. I dont like the fmc. Throughout it all, shes complaining a out what will or might happen to her, but I'm guessing she entered the room of her own freewill, based on the series blurb. She whines way too much. 3 stars because it was decently written and the steam was steamy.
At least this one had a story line. First two were basically just sex scene descriptions that you could read on any erotic story online sites for free.
