A sex contract seemed like a good idea, until she fell in love.

When Symone Esquire fails to woo her best friend into taking her virginity, his rejection is the catalyst that inspires her to create a sex contract with a local legend, a man nicknamed “The Cherry Popper”, to take her virginity instead.

Sid Cooperton is used to being solicited for sex, being the lead singer of a local rock band does have its perks . . . but when the nerdy, yet intriguing, Symone approaches him with a proposition to take her virginity in exchange for his college tutoring. It’s simply an offer he can’t refuse—even if his reputation for being a virginity exterminator is grossly exaggerated.

Symone wasn’t expecting anything more than a business relationship with Sid, but she soon realizes there’s so much more to her sex tutor than just sex. Matters become even more complicated when her once uninterested best friend, suddenly wants to take their relationship to the next level like she always wanted.

With the relationship she’s always dreamed of within her reach, Symone must make a decision: choose her best friend, the man she’s been in love with her whole life, or choose Sid, the man who has suddenly become the subject of all her fantasies.

The contract has been signed: Symone’s virginity for Sid’s B average.

It was supposed to be simple, until she broke his only rule.

This book contains sexual situations, and language that may not be suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Wow!!! So I was incredibly lucky to have been asked if I would like to read and leave an honest review of this book, and I can't express how much I truly fell in love with this story. The main character is a 20 year old with her V card intact. Symone is her name, and she is and has been falling in love with her best friend Trevor. Well Trevor is oblivious to his best friends feelings, and makes some dumb on his part, choices where she is concerned. Then she meets Sid, who is the guy in a band, and the typical bad boy. Then one contract and a bunch of amazing scenes later the book is in full swing. I can't divulge much beyond that, but I want to impress upon anyone reading this review that this book is a Solid 5 star comedy adult romance, and extremely well written. From the character to the plot twists along the way I am so in love with this story! I recommend this to anyone who loves a good witty character and a hot romance! Great job V. Kelly!

One thing you should know about my reading habits is I don't do rereads. It's not my thing. There are plenty of books out there that I just shouldn't have to reread a book. Well after reading V's First Impressions I needed more. She gave me a very early edition of POP. I absolutely loved it!!!

She recently gave me a revised copy to read. OMG it was like reuniting with old friends! I didn't even realized how much I missed Symone, Sid and Trevor till I started reading them again. It was like coming home after being away far too long. I picked up even more from this story by reading it again. Goes to show you can teach an old dog new tricks!

V's craft of writing just gets better and better with each book she writes. She has such a gift of not only telling a story so flawlessly with love and heartache but adding such humor to it in the perfect spots. You feel like her characters are your friends you surround yourself with.

I absolutely loved this book! I laughed (boy did I laugh) but my heart also broke. One thing I've noticed about V's characters is wether they be the main focus or just a "filler" you can't seem to hate any of them. They may do things you don't like but they are all decent people who make mistakes. Just like those we surround ourselves with!

All I can say is you NEED to read this book!!! It's just THAT GOOD!!!

Cliffhangers are going to be the death of me this week. Especially ones that just sort of smack you in the face. I was honestly thinking this would be an HEA until I got down to 11 minutes left in the book and was like.. No.. surely not. Surely that... No, wait, it is. OMG GIVE ME THE NEXT BOOK NOW!

Literally, have you ever seen the meme of the woman sitting there, and the man asking what it wrong? The woman replies "There are no more pages. O.O" this is me. Completely me.

As for the book, this really would have been an 5-star book for me, it's still sitting at 4.5 and not because of the cliffy. I don't really mind them, to be fair. What has me iffy at it are the other characters that come into the plot. The guy that Sym is supposed to be "in love" with? The Bestie? I want to punch him in the face. I hated him and yet you see parts of him that are supposed to be likable... I still couldn't like him. I just wanted him to go away. As for Sid, I want to punch him in the face too and tell him to get his poop in a group. THEN throw in that I sort of want to shake Symone and tell her to stop flip-flopping back and forth! Obviously, I had a lot of emotions in this book.

Even saying all of that, and having parts in it that just made me want to throw my Kindle, I liked this book. I liked this book a lot. Now give me the next one, please!

This book is everything you would want I'm a romantic comedy!! Symone is absolutely hysterical and she's so smart, she is so amazing in this book! To have he balls to actually approach someone to have them teach you how to have sex? That's got to take guts and she was great about everything! And her jokes and funny words they were so contagious!! She has her hands really full with Sid and Trevor and she handles all of it so well. She is a girl that won't take crap from anyone but can love like no other.

And Sid, oh man is he dreamy. He's a rocker who is known for being with the ladies, but he's so much more than that once you get to know him! He's genuine and kind behind that bad boy exterior. And I hate Trevor right along with him!!! CANNOT wait until Popped!!!!!

This has been my favorite book by V Kelly. The jokes and witty banter in this was incredible. I was sucked in from the beginning and found myself unable to put the book down, especially once I reached the middle. I loved Symone and thought she made the story with her innocence and her Symonisms. I look forward to book 2 releasing.

Review:
“Fuck. Why is this girl-a girl who is not my type, making my cock twitch? She looks like she just raped a rainbow and my cock still wants inside her. Adorably clueless doesn’t even begin to describe Symone, and yet for some reason I kinda like her.”

5 popped stars!!! Hilariously funny and deliciously sexy!!

Nerdy, Quirky Symone has been in love with her best friend Travis for years, well since they were kids really, and now she’s decided to take matters into her own hands. She’s going to dress up slutty (if you will), wear make-up, contacts and heels she can’t walk in and profess her love to him and he’ll take her virginity. Simple enough?? Yeah until he tells her no way is he sleeping with her because she is a virgin! Devastated, she then decides she’s going to go on a mission to find someone to “pop her cherry.” In walks Sid, the deliciously sexy, lead singer or a rock band who’s also a complete jerk and ladies man (no relationships for this guy), also known as the “Cherry Popper.” Sid and Symone come up with a sexual contract, where she’ll tutor him (so his dad stays off his back) and he’ll teach her all she needs to know about sex and he’ll take her virginity. There’s one rule in the contract, well there’s several, but the main one: No falling for each other, no feelings. But the nerdy, quirky Symone seems to have a strange effect on the rocker. Now these two have to manage their feelings for each other, while dealing with their own family drama…. They can have sex without feelings right??

This book, where do I even begin?? I was laughing so hard while reading… when you have words like “The Great Beaver Massacre of 2015” I mean how can you not laugh out loud!! There were so many hilarious parts, and other parts are steamy as a sauna!! Sid is one sexy, sexy man and his need to help and protect Symone is noble and so adorable!! And Symone, OMG, I loved her and her crazy banter and witty responses to everything. This book was highly addicting and just when you think it’s going somewhere… BAM… HUGE cliffhanger!!! I have to know what happens next!!! Seriously fabulous book… so worth the read!

Holy crap, this woman is killing me! Full review to come. However, I feel that needs to be said, this book is the prime example of why I hate cliffhangers. I wasn't ready to say goodye to the characters, I was by far not ready for the end and now they will haunt me until the release of book 2. This book is fantastic and stands heads above most of the books I've read so far this year.

Updated (7/7/16):

First I want to say that I do not enjoy cliffhangers normally. Nothing against the authors, it's all on me. I have this tiny issue with patience... I have none. That being said, whenever possible I try to stay away from cliffhangers unless the next book is available immediately for me to read. I did not know this was a cliffhanger unfortunately before I agreed to read it. Or maybe that would be fortunately since I would have missed out on one hell of a book if I had decided to skip on it because of the cliffhanger.

The second I started reading Pop! I realized one very important detail... V. Kelly is a genius. When you read as many books as I do, you tend to get jaded when it comes to books. Books that claim to be sexy are ok. If they claim to be funny, I barely break a chuckle. Pop! However lived to every one of the author's claims. By the time I had finished chapter 1, I was laughing so hard my sides hurt. Halfway through the book and I decided it was best to keep drinks away while until I finish reading the book. By the end, I had concluded that V. Kelly has earned herself a new stalker. This woman is a genius and possibly a comedian in her off hours.

What did I enjoy about Pop!? Well, it would probably be easier to list the things I did not like... it was a cliffhanger. There you have it... the one and only thing that I disliked about the entire book which ran at approximately 389 pages. Otherwise, this book was comedic perfection. Perhaps it was how easy it was to picture myself having similar conversations with my best friends and roommates. Or how our nerdy heroine, Symone, diffused every situation with humor.

The love triangle between Symone, Sid and Trevor is inspired. Nothing like a man not realizing he's in love with his best friend until he believes she's moved on with someone else. I wanted to be angry at Trevor for being so oblivious and saying the things he said to Symone, but really, otherwise he is just so sweet in a puppy dog sort of way that, like Symone, I couldn't stay mad at him. The characters are all so great and well developed that I had a hard time deciding who to root for!

Start to finish this was a book I could not put down. Because of sexual situations and innuendos it would be best appropriate for anyone over 18. However I cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this book.

Ok this has to honestly be one of the best books I've ever read. I laughed so had I almost pissed myself a couple of times. I didn't even want to put it down!

Symone is a 20 nerdy virgin in college; she's loved her best friend Trevor since they were sporting pampers. Trevor, however, loves her but it's questionable if he's in love with her. He keeps giving her mix signals. He doesn't want to touch her hymen with a 10 foot pole but doesn't want anyone else to either. So she turns to the only person her other best friend Staci directs her to. This is where we meet the sexy Sid aka "Cherry Popper." He's known on campus for taking vCards no strings attached. Symone and him come to an agreement she tutors him exchange for sexual lessons and a contract is drawn up. And our story goes from there.

Symone is like no other heroine I've read, she doesn't run off crying like a child. No, she's strong, sarcastic, funny, witty, and her intelligence nerd level is through the roof! She takes no shit from anyone, it rolls off her and she gives just as good if not way better than she gets. She has an obsession with her kindle that holds her "naughty literature" and some of the outfits she wears had me singing the "reading rainbow" theme song in my head. Symone reminds me so much of a friend once had who asked what a hickey was. When explained to her she asks point blank, wide eyed, serious face, and all, "Now, why would they won't to do that? I'm not a piece of chicken!" The things that come out of her mouth had me almost in tears laughing so hard. Naive with a touch of pure innocent and add curiosity to the mix and you have Symone.

Sid is a struggling lead singer for a band called Static Cling. He's every girls wet dream but too afraid to bare his emotions. I love how they have a connection that's so soul deep they can read through each others bs.

Trevor and Staci, I have a love hate relationship with them. I want to stab them for their shittiness at times. Then there are times you see the good in them.

The more I fall in love with Symone's character the more I hate those that would hurt her. It was a really great book, I hate it left off in a cliffy but honestly, I don't care. As long as it's out soon, my panties won't get in a wad and all will be right in the world.

5 stars all the way for Pop!! By V. Kelly! This is the first book I have read by this amazing author!
I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of Pop! For an honest review.
The book will have you laughing your butt off one minute and the next your shouting at the characters like there your friends.
Rom Com is not something I normally read but as soon as I read the blurb I knew I had to. I am very pleased to say this one will go in the must reread folder on my Kindle App!
The storyline is flawless and there's so much going on that there was never a dull moment. The story flows easily and I was always able to distinguish who's POV was being written. The author makes that prominent at the beginning of every chapter.
But I must warn you the ending of this book has a huge surprise and I can't wait for book 2 to be released.
This author will be one that I read everything she has ever written and that she writes in the future.

Syd and Symone are super fun together. Symone is one of the funniest female characters I have read in a long time and I totally appreciate her situation and what she was trying to do. Syd was the sexy rocker with the reputation of being the cherry popper. He's kind of misunderstood and has a lot going on with school, family, and his band. I loved his honesty throughout the book and really liked him.
The one thing that bothered me about this was the dedication actually. When it said that it's for the people who thought sex couldn't be funny I was really excited about this book and thought it would be hilarious but really the sex scenes were nothing particularly funny or special from everything else. The cliffhanger and that brought it down to a four instead of a five for me.

Ok let's just go ahead and say this is the best book I've read! Fantastically written, sexy, hilarious and nerdy. I loved it from page one until the awesome *rolls eyes* cliffhanger at the end that left me wanting to read book 2. Well done on the authors part because i must must must read the next book. It's like a freaking soap opera on nerd crack. Lol. I simply adored everything about it. I fell in love with the characters and their love triangle. Such a fun and quirky read that had me bursting out in laughter. Other parts tugged at my heart strings as well as tears. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

WOW!!! This was a wonderful read. I cannot begin to describe how much I love this book. The main character, Symone is a super nerd looking to expand her horizons for her best friend Trevor. She meets the man she wants to explore herself with, and soon love blooms. Sadly, the story doesnt end there and Sid and Symone have to face some rather awkward situations. I am not going to go into anymore detail because I dont want to ruin it with spoilers. All I can say is that this is a book I highly suggest, one I cannot wait to read again, and I am desperately awaiting the sequel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Fabulous Job, V. Kelly.

Symone and Sid are quite the pair, and poor Symone the girl got a rude awakening in her learning with Sid:
He cuts me off. “Symone, shut the eff up and put my ***k in your mouth!” He drops his pants.
“Holy mother of God! Is that thing real?”
Sid smiles proudly. “As real as you’re going to get.”
“That thing . . . well . . . that thing is huge!”
“That thing is my ***k and would prefer not to be treated like a monster.”
Although I enjoyed this book, I didn't enjoy the cliffhanger. Why was there a cliffhanger I just don't understand, so I'm hopping the next book will hurry up and get here fast.

I don't read many romantic comedies, but for some reason this one really appealed to me. There was just something in the synopsis that really got my attention that I immediately add it to my TBR pile and I'm glad that I did.

This book was one emotional roller coaster. I was mostly either smiling or laughing at some of the scene in this book, but there were also some deeper emotions too.

Symone and Sid were just perfect for each other. The author did I good job at making them feel like normal college kids going through the dramas of life. However the ending really left me wanting more. I can't to find out what happens next.

Also I will never be able to look at a banana the same again...

What a refreshing and hilarious work of art this book was. Im in love with this book and characters, I have never read anything that made me laugh so hard. As soon as I started reading about Symone I was like ,"that's a girl I would definitely hang with " awesomeness all rolled into one quirky woman. Before I knew I had the whole book read but thankfully I've got the popped continuation right here to read next. I can't believe that bomb at the end...what???????????I cannot wait to see what shenanigans Sid and Symone get into . FIVE 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

DELICIOUSLY CUTE, FABULOUSLY FUNNY, SINFULLY SEXY AND DELIGHTFULLY ENTERTAINING !!
Title: Pop!
Author: V. Kelly
Designation: Romantic COmedy, Not a Standalone, Cliffhanger Ahead
My Rating: Five Sinfully Sexy Stars*****
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book! And yes, I'm screaming to the world just how much I enjoyed Pop! by V Kelly. If you haven't experienced the wild, wonderfully wacky world of Vanessa Kelly yet, you seriously need to try her work. It's totally AMAZEBALLS! Quite by happenstance, I stumbled upon an offer for a free ebook download from Amazon a few months ago. Although I didn't recognize the author's name, the cover of the book immediately caught my eye. To find out more, I quickly one-clicked and found myself more than a little intrigued by the blurb for a book entitled Innuendos by V. Kelly Author. "What the heck?" I said to myself. "I have nothing to lose other than a little time, right?" (And yes, I frequently talk to myself...and to my dog. I live alone, okay? lol...) Well, folks, it was one of the best decisions I've EVER made. Not only did I get a fabulous book, but I also found an exceptionally gifted young writer who immediately claimed a spot as one of my top ten all-time favorite authors, and that's after reading only one of her books. Needless to say, since then I've read everything she's published and loved it all!

Pop! is a light, refreshing, modern, fast-paced, exceptionally well crafted romantic comedy with a beautifully written first person his and her narrative. The dialogue is smart, sassy, witty, well executed, laugh out loud funny and flows effortlessly. But by far, my favorite component of this wildly hilarious tale is the remarkable cast of well developed, engaging, realistic, fabulously funny and totally relatable cast of characters. They are truly the heart and soul of this story. I was instantly smitten with the three protagonists, beautiful intelligent college nerd girl Symone Persephone Esquire, handsome hunky college hockey star and chick magnet Trevor 'Trev' Donahue, and totally hot, very cool college student heartthrob and rocker Cedrick 'Sid' Topher Cooperton. If you're looking for an exquisitely written, well edited romantic comedy filled to the brim with flirty wit, cutesy humor, outrageously funny dialogue, agonizing heartbreak, deliciously sweet romance and steamy sex, then this is most assuredly the book for you. But please be forewarned, this is NOT a standalone read. It is also most definitely NOT a serial with only a few chapters being published each time. It is a full length novel with approximately 292 pages of sexy goodness but does end in a cliffhanger. It's also a story with characters who refused to be confined to the pages of one book and had a lot more to say. They demanded another book so Pop! will be concluded in the upcoming and very aptly named sequel, Popped! Now that we have all that out of the way, let's discuss what the story is actually about.

Beautiful twenty year old college nerd girl Symone Esquire is not having a banner year. Sure, she's intelligent, has a 4.0 GPA and not exactly ugly but the only thing her smarts have ever gotten her is being bullied. And it's certainly never gotten her a boyfriend. Nope, not a single one and sadly, she's twenty and still a virgin. What? Not that she hasn't longed for one guy in particular. Oh, she has! She's loved her next door neighbor and best friend, handsome hockey star and chick magnet Trevor Donahue for fifteen years and has been IN love with him for the last five. She's tried everything she knows to tempt him into taking her virginity....unfortunately with no success. She has been officially friend-zoned. But in Symone's defense, Trev was her first kiss and the best kiss of her entire life. Granted, she was only thirteen at the time and she's only had three kisses total...maybe...but it's still enough for her to know that she loves Trevor, and more than just a best friend. She's tried wooing him but nothing has worked. It's time to put on her thinking cap, pull up her big girl panties and take drastic measures. Regrettably, she's completely run out of ideas until her roommate Staci tells her about the legend of the Cherry Popper. And yes, it's exactly what you think. lol... But with Trevor giving her mixed signals and refusing to have sex with her because she's still a virgin, Symone knows if she could somehow find and meet the Cherry Popper, he could be the answer to her prayers. If she could somehow convince him to tutor her and teach her everything about the art of sex and seduction, and in the process, possibly even persuade him to rid her of her pesky v-card, it could be the solution she needs to convince Trevor to give their relationship a chance...and maybe even make him a little jealous in the process. But what are the odds? She's already met the Cherry Popper aka Cedrick 'Sid' Topher Cooperton...kinda... and he's nothing like she expected. But at this point, she has nothing to lose except her virginity, right? Oh so wrong! She has so much more to lose...including her heart! Oh my! No spoilers from me but I will say this....Beautiful, intelligent and very nerdy college girl who is still a virgin and thinks she's in love with her best friend-check! Handsome, hunky college hockey star and chick magnet who is very confused about his feelings for his best friend-check! Hot, handsome and very talented college rocker who thinks he's broken emotionally and refuses to fall in love-check! An unlikely agreement, an unconventional contract and a disaster in the making-check! A barrel of laughs as well as a generous measure of heartache-check! Heated attraction, sweet romance and steamy sex- you bet! That and a whole lot more! I snickered, snorted, chuckled, giggled, sniffled, sobbed and outright ugly cried through the entire book but by the end I was happy and well entertained.....and eagerly awaiting the release of the sequel, Popped! Deliciously cute, fabulously funny, sinfully sexy and delightfully entertaining! Well done, Ms Kelly, well done indeed!

When rating and reviewing a book, there are several questions I always ask myself. First, how did I feel about the story? Well, quite obviously I loved it. I enjoyed the storyline and became instantly smitten with the three protagonists, Symone, Sid and Trevor. I may be an old lady but I was actually able to relate to these characters. It reminded me so much of my days as a college student with my friends. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories I thought had been long forgotten. It was a wonderful and very enjoyable experience. Second, would I recommend this book? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since there are some steamy dreamy love scenes included as well as some devilishly delightful humor. Third, will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained! Oh lawd, yes! I was definitely entertained. By the first chapter, I was completely hooked. I couldn't stop reading. I actually fell asleep sitting up in bed. I woke up at 4 AM still holding my Kindle and would probably have started reading again had my Kindle not been dead. Yeah, I tried and realized I had to recharge it. lol...And yes, the book was really that good! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! So in closing, if you're looking for an incredibly entertaining experience, I highly recommend a V. Kelly book....any V. Kelly book will do. They're all great! I should know; I've read them all!

This is the first book i've read by this author and it was the funniest book i've read in ages. Symone & Sid are hilarious, causing so many random outbursts of LMAO so many times with tears streaming down my cheeks.
Symone Esquire hides behind her nerdiness and isn't exactly a man magnet like her friend Staci. With Staci’s help she’s on a mission to get her Cherry POPPED and her target is her long time best friend Trevor Dohahue, love of the life, Hockey God with the body of Adonis & panty-dropping machine. But she is strictly friend-zoned by him. So drastic measured are called for she finds out about the guy they call The Cherry Popper. He’s a hot rocker that is need of a tutor doesn’t want a relationship and is happy to do the deed. She draws up a contract that states what he gets Good grades, no strings attached to teach her all his sexual knowledge so she can pull anyone she wants. As things progress she falls for him. But he doesn’t want love in his life, but she knows he’s into her really. Trevor finally clues on that he loves her.

Sid is lead singer, not doing very well at school and feels out of his element but he's being the good son doing as his father asks so he can have his passion of music. He’s at gig when he finds out someone wearing a Yoda shirt and been asking about him (The Cherry Popper) she’s not his usual type at all. He agrees to pop her cherry it’s Win-win he needs a tutor and she needs serious help in the sexuality department with no feelings involved. A verbal agreement isn’t good enough for Symone she's such a nerd she's drawn up a written sex contract WTF! The longer he’s around her he begins to like her nerdy funny quirky ways. She sticks to her side of the deal tutoring him but he’s slacking on his part of the deal. The cherry gets popped and things change between them so he pushes her away because he’s not into feelings. Then when he finally knows how he feels it could be too late.

This book ends on a cliffhanger that could be a life changer for both of them.
Popped! can't be released soon enough to see where both their lives are going.

I ALMOST DNF this book. I think I was at 75% when I decided I could skim through the rest.

I'll start off with the good stuff.

The storyline was intriguing. I liked the concept all around and was curious to see where it would go. We all know that the two MCs will fall in love as that's a given in these types of books, but I was curious about their journey. This book was pretty humorous so that's what initially sucked me in.

Out of all the characters, Sid was my favorite. I actually thought he was a pretty good guy. There's not really much to say about him other than I liked him. His relationship and interactions were a little weird with his dad. I feel like the author was making him into the "cool dad" and it borderlined on gross and weird.

I didn't care for Symone. She was actually pretty annoying. Some of the things that came out of her mouth were pretty funny while other things were just ridiculous in a trying-too-hard kind of way. I also couldn't stand how she was with Trevor and Trevor was with her. He calls her a slut and a whore and while she ignores him for a month, he finally gets to apologize and it's just "Okay, you know I can never stay mad at you Trevor." Uhh, what? No.

My issue with this book was the cheesiness of it all. The dialogue often got cheesy, their arguments were cheesy, the big reunion with Symone's parents was BEYOND cheesy. It was so Leave it to Beaver it was ridiculous. Everything about this book was rushed and thrown together. It was ridiculous. Not to mention the cliffhanger?

I just wasn't a fan of this book. Someone recommended it in an author group I belong to so I dove in, but I can't recommend it to others. I'm really sorry, but I won't be reading the second book. It had such potential but it was just too forced.

When Symone confesses to her best friend Trevor that she has feeling for him and that she wants him to take her virginity, he turns her down letting her know that he would be okay with a friends with benefits deal if she wasn’t so innocent. When Symone’s roommate Staci informs her that there is a legendary man on campus; known as “The Cherry Popper” who might be able to help her out with her situation. Enter Sid aka The Cherry Popper, also the lead singer of a band, when Symone approaches him to help her with her virginity issue he agrees to help her out as long as she can help him out in return. The two design a contract that will rid Symone of her virginity and her Symone to tutor Sid in order for him to maintain a high average. After a sexy make over and heated lessons for Symone, Sid cannot help but feel the attraction he has for the sexy nerd but his past experience leaves him leery . Will the two be able to walk away as just friends after the heated lessons or will Trevor realize what he is missing and go after Symone? This book has a perfect mix of sexiness, humor, romance and let’s not forgets to mention the banana scene.
Pop is a sexy and entertaining read that is smoking hot! I was not able to put this book down; from the very first words I was hooked. The characters have amazing chemistry and did I mention how smoking hot of a read this was? This book does end in a cliffhanger, and I seriously need book two asap! Trust me this is a must read! I cannot wait for more from this amazing author.

***ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read and review this book! I loved it! Top pick for my summer so far!
Symone has been in love with her best friend, Trevor for as long as she can remember. He's a popular jock, she's the nerdy girl with her v-card still intact. Simone decides to get rid of that pesky v-card and decides Trevor is going to be the one to take it. When he refuses and her plan fails, Simone decides to take it upon herself to find someone who will. She decides to go find the legend, the man called "The Cherry Popper".
Sid is an aspiring rock God or the lead singer of a local band. Unless he gets a B average, his father won't support him. In comes Symone, the nerdy, but intriguing girl who makes a deal he can't refuse. Take her virginity in exchange for tutoring. No strings attached. Sounds easy, right?

Symone has become one of my favorite female characters. I love her strong will. She's smart, feisty and witty. I couldn't put this book down. It had me giggling one minute and burning up the second. Beautifully written and flowed well. Can't wait to read the next installment. Dang cliffy anyway.
5 huge stars from me.

When I won an ARC of this book, I was stoked because it was already on my TBR list. This is the first book I've read by V. Kelly, and if it's any indication of what her others are like, she has herself a serious fan. Like, fangirl status fan.
Funny isn't the word. There were times I had to put the book down because cackling took so much energy I couldn't hold my Kindle! I actually laughed until I cried. Symone and Sid's banter was pure gold, as were their inner thoughts. I joked that I was hooked by the Big Bang Theory reference in the first chapter, and it only got better from there. I read the entire thing from beginning to end in one day - not because it was short, but because I loved it that much!
It wasn't just funny, though. It was also HOT. The sex scenes were very well written - realistic, sensual, panty melting. Sid is one sexy character, that's for damn sure.
Overall, I will recommend this book to anyone who asks me for a recommendation, and I look forward to diving into V's other books this summer!

Pop by V. Kelly was an amazingly funny story about a virgin who’s in love with her best friend. Symone and Trevor have been neighbors and best friends their entire lives. At 13, they shared their first kiss and she has been in love with him ever since. Fast forward seven years and Symone is saving herself for the only guy she’s ever loved. Trevor says he loves Symone, but would never want to jeopardize their friendship. Especially by taking her virginity.
Symone heard about a guy on campus nicknamed the “Cherry Popper”. Perfect guy to do the job for her. Sid was musician that needed a tutor in college so his father would continue paying his bills. Sid and Symone were perfect for each other.
Rules were stated. Contracts were drawn. Tutoring in exchange for sex lessons. No emotions. There’s only one problem… Rules are meant to be broken.
Hysterical 5 star read. Highly recommended for a great laugh and a crazy vocabulary lesson.
**There is a cliffhanger ending.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Pop! By V. Kelly was ridiculously fun and seriously H-O-T! V. Kelly won me over fair and square with her unique way of writing and her astonishing way of creating laugh-your-butt-off moments along with characters that at first, you can't imagine coming together, but the chemistry is hard to deny and will make you laugh and weirdly enough, make you sigh with pleasure too! This story is pure fun and full of outrageousness and I freaking LOVED IT!

Pop will definitely make you roll over laughing and will have you flipping the pages quickly and once you finish, you will SO WANT TO DIVE INTO THE NEXT ONE ASAP just because you NEED to know how everything will play out. The witty dialogue was just so funny and had me giggling and shaking my head in complete amusement. God, I LOVED this book!

Pop! gets a SERIOUSLY FUN FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I am in LOVE with both Symone and Sid and am rooting for their, sure to be, fun and quirky happily ever after.

I feel like I'm in a coma right now. Things are moving around me but I can't think and I sure can't respond!

I was able to get my hands on a copy of Pop!
Gosh I don't know how to say this right so I'll just be out with it..
I think with each new book V Kelly gets better and better.
I liked Innuendos it was funny and cute, Accent Hussy was hilarious I laughed and cried. But Pop I couldn't put down! I laughed so hard I was crying my BF had to as several times if I was okay. The characters feel so real, and you want to keep reading so you can see where each decision takes them next.
I have to say I agree from the very bottom of my soul about the word "moist" and even now used to describe cake makes me cringe. I will never look or think about a banana the same again and the only advise I can give to anyone in life is to read this book and to not read it in public. You will thank me!

Pop! The Perfect Nerd Love Story

Aghhhhh what the hell?!?! Talk about a dang cliff hanger! Pop! Was absolutely amazing! It was hilarious and sexy! Symone was like the girl version of Sheldon and you can't help but love the quirky intellectual beauty thing she's rocking! Sid was the sexy rocker that you are silently pulling for because deep down every girl needs a bad boy, especially one who can sing you songs and play the guitar! I am def team Sid and can't wait to see what happens in the next book! I can't get enough of the drama that follows these characters everywhere they go! V Kelly is remarkable as always! She has this knack for developing deep emotional characters within just a few pages that leaves you feeling connected and emotionally attached! This ability for character development is truly remarkable and one to be envied! Job well Done!
