They say love don't love nobody and the beautiful Aris was learning the true meaning of this quote the hard way. After getting her heartbroken by her first love Rome and him catching a five year bid shortly after; Aris made a vow to never love again. That's until the world crosses her paths with the charming Quamir, who sweeps her off her feet. Introducing her to another world, Aris was more than ready to start a new life with her new found love. When things start to go left and more lies, deceit and secrets are revealed, Aris starts to rethink this love game she chose to play altogether. If that didn't make matter worse her past love comes knocking at her front door ready to go to war for her to reclaim his rightfully spot next to his queen. With all the drama unraveling in Aris' life what would be her next move? Running into the arms of a man you love? Or running back into the arms of a man who loves you?
Paris gotta be the stupidest character I have read about all year long. This as was interesting read however there was too much stupid shut happening. Like why would Aris not tell her father and brother who raped and beat her??? Why run up stairs and hide under the Damn bed instead of getting a knife or something to protect yourself, and if you were gonna run under the bed why not get the phone to call for help. So I'm hoping this this group of ppl are just a little more smarter in the next installment.
This book was straight FIRE. From the first page to the last was filled with Drama, Action, Lies, and Betrayal. I love Kam, Lay and especially Rome they are all a force to be reckoned with and like the saying goes Behind every man there a stronger woman and Kelly, Mona, and Ari are just that they hold them down. They have been through ups and downs but are determined to come on top with snakes out to get them. I think this is the first book I've read from this Author but I promise it won't be the last as I am anxiously waiting on the next installment.
