This book tells the fascinating stories of corrupt as well as honest and dedicated police officers, politicians, city officials in the mining city of Butte, Montana. It tells as well the story of madames, barkeeps, whiskey and drug runners, and the long-running story of prostitution, brothels, and gambling. The tales of lives lived and loves and lives lost in the town of Butte is quite entertaining and often heart-wrenching. Highly recommended to all students of Butte history in specific and American history in general.
