I LOVE Italian food and can't get enough of it. And Sam Kuma's cookbooks seem to be among the things I collect now, too. I have loved these cookbooks and as soon as I see them released, I get them. I am not vegan. My family is not vegan. But we have been enjoying the foods we have tried. Knowing there is a book with Italian recipes made me super excited.
I love knowing the recipes call for the types of things I have already in our home, though I am sure there may be some that are not common to others unless you are doing a ketogenic diet or low carb diet. I have all the coconut flour and coconut milk. I like the variety of recipes and have no trouble with experimenting with them. He makes creating these recipes super simple, and has different options from drinks to snacks to meals to desserts. A great collection of Italian recipes.
I have said this about his other books before, but I do wish he would include more visual appeal to help me with creating the recipes. I really need a visual guide to know what it is supposed to look like in the end. I also wish he would include a breakdown of the different values of everything, especially the protein count in these recipes per serving. I think if he added these things in, the books would be so much better.
His writing is good, though. The recipes spell everything out clearly and I have no confusion when trying things from the other collections. Perfect for Italian food lovers or vegan families looking for new ideas.
