Alien Prince

Rate this book
Lorelei Vauss gets more than she bargained for when she sneaks aboard a transport vessel headed for Earth.

All she wanted was a chance to escape the intergalactic embassy ship where she’d lived for every minute of her twenty-five years. Instead, the transport’s co-pilot double-crosses them, intercepting a Keldeeri slaver ship and selling the female passengers to the Quarter Moon thugs.

Lorelei manages to escape from the slavers before they can sell her to a brothel, but only by crash landing an escape pod in the worst possible place: a Qulari prince’s self-imposed exile.

For his part, Calder Fev’rosk wants nothing to do with the arrogant but beautiful young woman he rescued from the rubble, but the only way to keep the slavers from claiming her again is to marry her…and prove that it’s for real.

What starts as a marriage of convenience takes a turn for the worse when Lorelei has a chance to return to the Kaldeeri and rescue the other women. It will mean leaving Qetesh and thrusting Calder back into his rightful role as prince, a role he never wanted. But does she love him—and herself—enough to do what has to be done?

*BONUS BOOK: This book also contains Alien Alpha (Qetesh Warrior) , the first book in the Qetesh series. Both of these are standalone, HEA Romances!

Juniper Leigh is an erotica writer from New York City, eager to tell all. Her writing -- steamy and salacious though it may be -- is meant to empower women to explore the depths of their desires. She is a devoted feminist and she believes that ownership of what gets you off is a deeply affirming and empowering act (including when the thing that gets you off is submission). Orgasms are widely known to have lasting health benefits so, really, smut-writing is somewhat of a public service.

Juniper Leigh is a pen name, an alter ego, but the woman behind the name is just as committed to the written word. Plays, novels, short stories, articles -- she does it all. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and BA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.

Bored me to silly. In addition, oh so noble , gentlemanly Prince lost all the brownie points and any appeal when, after consummation of marriage , he compared his bride to "Back alley whore"and later on ARGUED with slave-traders after they manhandled her. I was looking for an alpha, not a Zen turtle. Maybe he will redeem himself later on, but I just did not care, not even a little bit.

Really good series

I could see more books with the two stories already. I really enjoyed the first story in this book. I had already read the second story a while ago and wondered what if any other books were written in this series. My question was answered with a great answer. I loved the story.

Title: Alien Prince: (Bride of Qetesh)
Note: 2 books in this package. This book also contains Alien Alpha (Qetesh Warrior), the first book in the Qetesh series. Both of these are standalone, HEA Romances.
Author: Juniper Leigh

This is my review of Alien Prince. I bought this book through Amazon. This is 2 books in what I hope is a series.
This book is the story of Lorelei Vauss who gets attacked and grabbed by slavers when she sneaks aboard a transport heading to Earth. She manages to escape the slave ship but ends up crash landing on a primitive planet named Qetesh and saved by a man who was once a Priest, and Prince, to his people. Calder Fev’rosk saves her, helps her, and marries her to keep the slavers from taking her back and returns to his people as King with a new Queen at his side. But can he keep her? Will she stay with him? Will she manage to save the other girls that were kidnapped with her? Will Lorelei help save the people of Qetesh who have lost all of the females of their kind and are on the brink of extinction?

Also included is Alien Alpha (Qetesh Warrior). This story shows you the beginning of how the Qetesh people started to try to save their people by mating other species. Will the women sent to his planet help? And why is the woman that he finds in the escape pod not there out of her own free will? This is a great story that tells you the beginning of the breeding program and of the Qetesh saga.

I did not like how the chapters switched back and forth from their different views and found myself having to read the title of each chapter in order to make sure I knew who was talking but other than that it was a great book.

Story 1:Alien Price (Bride of Qetesh) -Calder and Lorelei
Lorelei at first appears to be rather immature and spoiled. Calder is an ex-Qetesh priest in self exile, is surly and throughly connived he does not want a mate. Calder rescues Lorelei when her escape pod crash lands and they begin a love-hate kind of relationship that eventually ends up in a HEA.
There were a quite few surprising revelations for Lorelei, Calder, and the Echelon (a ruling group on the ship). There is a fair amount of graphic sex.

Story 2: Alien Alpha - Novalyn & Ordik
We were briefly introduced to Novalyn in the Alien Prince and now get her entire story. Novalyn was abducted from Earth by Tymer to become a mate on Qetesh. Ordik is an exiled chieftain that sees her pod come down to the planet and investigates. Ordik takes care of Novalyn and falls in love, Novalyn thinks all she wants is to go home. There is a fair amount of graphic sex as the two get to know one another.
The ending has a good HEA and we are learning that the Echelon is really not as altruistic as they would have us believe.

Lore is busting at the seems to try something new, to see something new. Her life on board the starship isn't going the way she thought it was going to, so she asks her parents if she can go and visit Earth, leave the starship for the very first time. When they say no, Lore convinces a friend to sneak her onto a cargo ship leaving for Earth. Unfortunately, the cargo ship is hijacked by pirates who are determined to sell the women off as slaves. With a little help from the others, Lore manages to get off the ship, but her pod crashes.
The first time Calder sees Lore, she's still strapped in to the smashed up pod. He rescues her and brings her back to his home. Calder's planet may be part of a trial to see if inter-species mating is possible, but he wants nothing to do with the program. There's something about Lore, however, that draws him and makes him do things he swore he'd never do just to keep her safe.
This is a pretty good book. I liked the story and the character development.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

This book was beyond what I was expecting.
Lorelei is a human raised on a star ship far from earth, she is a girl who wants nothing more than to live a normal human life on earth. She comes up with a plan to go to Earth and to see what it is like.
Things go wrong after they take off and could not have gone worse, their ship is boarded and the women are taken, Lorelei escapes wanting to do nothing but save the girls she was capured with.
Lorelei lands on planted where she is found by Calder.
Calder is a Priest who walked away from his home after his mother passes away, the last female of their Species, Their leader. Calder leaves town and builds a new home for himself away from everything. His world is turned upside down.
Calder and Lorelei marry to save her from slavery but the love they share is true.
This was such a great book.
I was provided a copy in exchange for my honest review.

I am posting a revised review because after reading the book(s) - there are two books here - I thought my original review was harsh. The books start off as many do. That there was a virus that wiped out the females on a planet and they need females to keep from going extinct. There is a love story in each book, predictable but there. The thing that bothered me was that there are no contractions to be found anywhere. If it were only the "aliens" speaking without contractions, I could be forgiving but it's not. Nobody talks like that. And as with all in this category of books, the aliens have huge packages and give their human abductees mind blowing orgasms.

I received as an ARC book for my honest opinion. After a kidnapping that no one knows about at first, Lore escapes to a planet needing help. She is rescued from a crash by the "King" Caldor. He loses his faith but gains a feisty, stubborn woman. After spending time together, they marry for "the paper". After she and 4 other kidnapped women are returned to their ship, Lore realizes she needs to go back. She has found love and is miserable without Caldor. It takes a while but they are reunited. I love the HEA story. Look forward to more like it.

I think I enjoyed book 2 more than book 1 - there is more intrigue, more galactic activity than what happened in the first book. These books are hot but still manage to hold a steady plot line and enjoyable characters. Timelines are a bit uncertain and so things do feel a bit rushed in relationship development, but it doesn't detract overall from the enjoyment of the books.

Alien Prince

This is a great standalone in the Bride of Qetesh series. And there is a bonus book in this edition, Alien Alpha, which is a Qetesh Warrior standalone. I've only read a few of Juniper Leigh's books, but she's already made my top ten sci fi authors list with these engaging stories. I'll definitely be looking for more.

Well written, the storyline was easy to follow. I enjoyed this novel. There weren't a lot of sex scenes mucking up the story but just enough that it allowed you to get into the lives of the people involved.
I would love to see what happens to Tierney Mafaren.

I think this was quite a nice romance, but the story had quite a few drawbacks. I had a sense of incomplete information and the feeling that the plot went forward with dialogue and not enough background.

Alien Prince

I think the leaders in the Echelon are crooked and wicked. I'm glad she didn't choose the leaders son and they didn't get her baby.
