Moore To Love

I used to imagine that life would be easier, more enjoyable, if I were tall, blond, and supermodel thin. But real life—like the average, every day woman—is full of curves and imperfections, and many opportunities to learn that it’s not the number on the scale that measures the capacity of your heart.

After years of struggling with poor self esteem and too many crash diets to count, I finally got wise—and hired a trainer. With an enthusiastic push from my brother’s fiancé and more motivation than a Joel Osteen sermon, I, Madeline “Leni” Moore, am ready to ditch the oh-woe-is-me act.

That is, until I smack head-on into a tree and collide with him. Lane Sheffield is the guy you drool over from afar. One look at him the first day on the runner’s track, and my panties are up in flames. He’s out of my league. Slim, sleek, and athletic to my plump, dull, and unfit. Lane has no reason to like me, but to my utter shock . . . he does and this newfound attention from the opposite sex has me all sorts of baffled.

What starts out as a healthy journey to lose some of the extra me, turns into a quest to find my true self. Will the need to fit in and finally have someone to call my own lead me to my weight loss goal or my happiness goal? I've focused so long on being skinny, what will it take for me to learn the ultimate lesson—that beauty is only skin deep?

Leni’s brother gets engaged and she’s happy that her friend will become her sister(-in-law). Her future sister-in-law asks Leni to exercise together. Leni has been struggling with her weight since she was a child. She’s determined to lose weight and look good for the wedding. When Leni is running in the park, she sees a gorgeous man running. She hopes to see him every time she goes running, but she doesn’t dare to talk to him. One day, Leni needs help and the mysterious, gorgeous man helps her. She finally gets to know Lane.

I liked Leni and I loved Lane. Lane is a sweet, caring, gentle, genuine and strong man. He runs a lot and he likes it. He wanted Leni from the moment he first saw her, but he is actually insecure around women. Lane takes Leni out on great dates and he wants nothing but the best for her. He loves Leni just like she is and he believes in her.

Leni has always been insecure about her body, even though everybody else always tells her that she’s pretty. She has curves. She gets more secure and stronger during the book and that was beautiful to read. Lane helps her. Leni still loves food and struggles sometimes, but that’s normal. I did get frustrated with Leni sometimes. I also didn’t understand why she pushed Lane away near the end. He never gave her any reason not to trust him.

This was my first Faith Andrews read and I know with just this one book, it won’t be my last. In Moore To Love, our heroine, Leni Moore is struggling with her weight, hoping to lose some pound before her brother’s wedding. When on her daily jogging routine, she spots Mr. Fancy Pants. Surely a man as good looking and fit as him would never want a girl like her, even if she has shed a few pounds.

Lane, the handsome jogger, comes to the rescue when Leni lands face first into a tree and decides to stay awhile. But for Leni, who is still struggling with her insecurities, it’s hard to see that a man as attractive as Lane would really want more from her – after all he can have any woman he could want – why would he want her?

I think Faith did a fantastic job handling Leni’s insecurities and in such a way that most woman can relate, even if weight isn’t the particular issue they are struggling with. I instantly loved Leni and her gang of gal pals, she came across as real in so many ways. And as much as I tend to want to read about fantasy women in my romances, it was a nice break to find myself completely captivated by a realistic heroine.

And Lane. Sure he had his own issues, but he was sweet as pie and I could not love him more. So many swoony moments with this man!

A fantastic book and what a great choice to pop my Faith Andrews’ cherry with!

This was a story that I very quickly found myself caught up in and once I started reading it, I could not stop. In fact I read this in one sitting, although I did have to stand up a few times to stop my butt from going numb!

Leni is on a mission to lose weight in time for her brother's wedding, there is no way she is going to look like a sausage bursting from its skin in the bridesmaid dress she will be wearing. She has had a love/ hate relationship with her body over a number of years so dieting is not a new concept for her. However, working with a personal trainer is something new and bloody hard work!

For years people have told her that she 'has a pretty face' but it is the unspoken words that she remembers most. However, now that she is shedding pounds, her confidence is getting a boost from the attention she seems to be garnering. However, she knows she really needs to focus on her self talk and image issues if she truly wants to be happy. Beauty is not just skin deep.

'When you grow up being made fun of for your flub and eventually learn to accept that you're not getting the hot date because you chose Oreos over the treadmill, it kinda sinks in that this is it.'

Then fate steps in and brings the most wonderful man into her life. Lane is gorgeous! Okay, he has a sexy body, dimples and Leni wants to climb him like a tree but he is so much more than that. Leni is surprised to find that the man she has been secretly checking out each day on her daily run, is actually quite shy. He is also incredibly sweet. She knows that he is different to any guy she has met before and she feels this incredible connection with him, that slowly builds the more time they spend together.

'The whole entire thing - I'm pretty sure it's the real thing. It has to be. I haven't even had sex with the dude and already I'm hoping to have his babies one day.'

Not everything is as it seems though and when Leni makes a discovery about Lane's past she really goes off the deep end. The most important thing to her is trust and in her eyes he has deceived her. She is surprised when she realises that a lot of men have body issues too, it is not just a girl thing. Can she see past her own insecurities, swallow her pride and trust what her heart is telling her?

I'm just not feeling it and I'm not even getting the message. For a book with self-acceptance theme, this book feels strangely superficial to me.

Leni isn't someone I can 100 percent relate but I understand her insecurites and issues with herself. I mean what women doesn't? But I feel like her insecurites were easily swept / brushed aside after losing weight. It felt unrealistic, at least in my eyes. And her being a fat girl with Oh!!!!!! a pretty face doesn't really make me that sympathetic torwards her.

And Leni being Leni depends too much on male validation that I'm not even sure if she has truly accepted herself for who she is or because of Lane. Speaking of Lane, it didn't take me a second to figure out what he was hiding..... Like c'mon.

Lane felt one-dimensional. I couldn't connect with him as a character. I did mention he was cute. But that's just it. He's way too sweet, too nice, too understanding, too accepting. It's like he's there for the sole purpose of showering Leni with attention so that she'll feel better about herself.

Regardless of all that, I'm a fan of this author's writing style. Seriously. Kudos to the author for tackling such a--I dare say, sensitive issue? While I can't relate to this book, I'm pretty sure a lot of people can. This book must have been so hard to write.

Madeline “Leni” Moore is every woman. (I‘m every woman, it’s all in me). She’s me, for sure. She’s you. She’s your mother, your sister, your aunt, your cousin, your niece. She’s your boss, your teacher, your neighbor. Even if weight is not your issue, Leni’s struggles are something that we can all relate to.

Leni’s brother is getting married, and that’s the kick-start she needs to finally take charge of her life and lose the unwanted pounds she’s been carrying around for years. With the encouragement of her best friends and a couple of hardcore trainers, Leni is determined to succeed this time. Along the way she starts to realize there really is more to life than how much you weigh- that a person’s worth isn’t dictated by a number on the scale.

I loved Leni and can totally relate to her frustrations, her insecurities, and her hang-ups. I don’t think there’s a woman who hasn’t felt like she has, in one way or another, at one point or another. Everything about her is so real, from hiding candy from herself to doubting that a good-looking man would want to be with her.

And Lane, can we just talk about him for a minute? He is a complete sweetheart, and I loved his vulnerabilities and his insecurities. It’s so refreshing to read a male character like him, instead of the typical, grunting, can’t speak in full sentences, alpha male.

Moore to Love takes us on a fun and inspiring journey, as Leni learns to finally accept herself, once and for all.

I loved Faith's dedication to her girls!

I had a hard time getting into the story. It seemed like I was stuck for a while. I can't put my finger on it but there was something missing and the story didn't seem to move forward. Then finally chapter nine came along and so did the story. Leni and Lane had some great chemistry and I loved Lane's awkardness. It was refreshing to not read about yet another alpha-male! Although Lane made a few cryptic comments about himself, I was quick to figure out what was going on with him. And as the story progressed my assumptions about him were confirmed. His behavior however got old very quick. His hot & cold feelings toward Leni got me whiplash. He should've confided in her earlier. Leni on the other hand was a little too eager with Lane and seemed on the verge of desperation. That fact alone made her annoying to me.
The end seemed a little rushed, unfortunately. The epilogue was a little surprising because I didn't expect Leni to agree to that certain job she was told to persue after the Miami incident. She was totally against it and seeing that she chose to do it after all was odd.
Overall, the book was a nice and quick read but fell flat for me in the end.

First things first, I don't even need to read a review or synopsis when it comes to Faith's books anymore! That being said I'd like to give this book 10 stars. Right from learning the title of this book I knew I was in for one heck of a read! And then I actually opened the book to read it.... Holy freaking amazeballs!!! Leni has to be one of my favorite female characters EVER! Her one liners, her sass, and her in general had me hook, line, and sinker. I couldn't help but find myself cheering for this kick ass, wonderful woman! Then enters Lane, mysterious and sexy Lane! Talk about a sexy man. Sweet and very serious at times but all the same fun for our sweet and sassy character. Then the supporting cast of Tatum, Ashley, Hudson, and Reynold and you will be falling out of your seats in laughter. There are no words to describe my love for this book. I'm ready to pick it back up and read again. My heart is so happy and so full and I have to say this is my FAVORITE read from Faith EVER!!!

Moore To Love is a great book.
It wasn't a dieting or exercising journal but a realistic and engaging journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.

I was pleasantly surprised in the end by Leni's strength to face her flaws and her weaknesses without any second thoughts.

I've already read some of Faith Andrew's previous works and I'm a fan of her writing style but this was perfect,flowing,challenging,thought-provoking and entertaining.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS PRESENT WITHIN REVIEW***

I don’t know. I had mixed feelings about this one. A few times I found myself stopping and putting it down, just to find myself pick it up to find out how everything ended. Leni was an engaging and humorous young woman. Because of the sensitivity of her being overweight, though, she lacked confidence and self-assurance when it came to men. With a few great friends, she decides to commit to losing weight and working with a trainer. Eventually she does lose some weight and is proud of herself, but she still has that lack of trust when it comes to men. Her friends try to get her to see that she’s so much more than she allows herself to see. But, until she finds that guy that she knows will prove herself wrong as far as what’s on the outside, she still has confidence issues. She does eventually let Lane into her life. He seems to be everything that she could possibly want. Good-looking with a killer body. Sweet and kind. But, there’s something just holding him back from letting her in. And, when she finds out what that is, she’s beyond heartbroken. He lied to her! And, for whatever reason he did, she’s not willing to listen to his excuses. So, she runs and cuts him out of her life. Will Leni give Lane a chance to explain?? Will they be able to repair the damage??

Ms. Andrews writes a story that had me intrigued because this has been something that I myself have struggled with my entire life – being overweight. It’s not something easy to deal with. It’s frustrating. And, tiresome. People can be mean. And, it can consume your entire life. The counting calories. The exercising. And, getting on that big bad scale. It’s exhausting. So, I know what she’s going through. Hopefully you meet people that are your biggest supporters. Your friends. Your family. And, your significant other. That’s the most important thing of all. Knowing that they love you no matter what. And, Leni had that with her family and friends. When Lane reveals his lie, I knew that it was something relatable to Leni, but I just wasn’t sure what it was. The only problem that I had with it, was that it was taken a little too lightly. I thought that it was wrapped up a little too quickly, and I thought Leni needed more time to deal with it. This was something big that should have bigger ramifications since it was such a big deal to her. This was right where her heart was especially since Lane meant so much to her. He should have known that this would devastate her. He just didn’t know how to tell her. But, I also got where the author was coming from. Leni should have realized how difficult this was for Lane too, and that he was only trying to protect her. She had to know that Lane was so into her regardless of her plus size. She was just such a nice, caring, and beautiful person. Her curves and lust for life just made her more attractive to him.

I wish that I loved this book more. I wanted to, but I wish that it been a little more intense. I wanted more from Leni and Lane’s relationship. More intimacy. More details. More emotion. Such a tough subject to write about I’m sure. But, it’s one that so many people struggle with each and every day.

5 whole, beautiful and magical stars. I want to give it more but sadly I can't.

First of all in this review, I wanna say how much I love the cover, it's so pretty and sweet. It drew me in from the get go. Then of course I read the blurb and I knew, I just knew I was going to love this book. It's totally up my alley.

Ok, so if you haven't read the blurb, (and I definitely think you should) I'll give you the watered down version. Madeleine 'Leni' Moore is a plus sized woman going through what most women go through at least once in their lives by struggling to lose weight and having self esteem issues. She longs to meet 'Mr Right For Her' who will take her as she is even if she doesn't realise who she is. Cue running into a tree and literally falling at Lane Sheffields feet.

What commences next is the struggles of loving yourself whilst falling in love with each other.

Leni's weight issues and struggles with losing weight is something I can relate to. I've struggled to lose weight all my life and I think that's why I loved this book so much. I could totally picture myself in Leni's shoes, minus the hotty, of course.

Leni, even though she believes she is this monster is funny, sweet, witty, feisty and just loveable. I instantly fell in love with her. And Lane? Well we can all appreciate a hotty. He was also sweet, a little aloof but instantly likeable. Not a typical 'alpha male' but I still found myself falling in love with him. The background characters were brilliant and really made the story whole.

It made me laugh out loud, made me cry, made me want to shout and lastly made me fall in love. I loved it.

Happy Reading :-)

This was a cute easy read. The story is fine, but nothing new or impressive. The characters arent to deep, but you still like them.

All in all, nothing wrong with it. It's just "there" :)

"Well, butter my biscuit. I'm glad my garden's in good shape."

Moore to Love by Faith Andrews is a new, romantic comedy, standalone novel.

"...let's call the world my triple decker bacon burger with mushrooms and cheddar."

Leni's life has always revolved around food and family. They've been her go-to for pretty much everything. Moments of happiness sadness, desperation, and rejection were always met with these two staples. When she is challenged to make a change, she is unprepared for the opportunities that come knocking at her door, and we see the true character of Leni come to the surface.

“You have a fire inside of you that burns so brightly it makes me want to be around you all the time.”

Moore to Love was an infectious novel, seeping into my every pore and taking up residence. It was a read that hit close to home on so many levels, and gave voice to feelings that many people face. But, it also showed strength in feminine beauty and gave place to the prowess of the female mind. Leni was a powerhouse. She was the best of the best in her field of work. She had determination, grit, and a level of sass that made my jaw drop open and prodded a roll of laughter. Experiencing her day-to-day life as her transformation took place was a roller coaster of emotions, as she let go of past thoughts and criticisms and embraced the new her. She knitted herself into so many people's lives and left a lasting impression. Lane was Leni's knight in fancy pants and running shoes. He was sweet, complimentary, supportive, and had some romantic surprises up his sleeve. Together, their story was a dreamer's delight. Two people who never thought it would happen for them found each other and the vision they had been running after, overcoming obstacles and their pasts along the way.

“You’re the first place trophy. Every, single bit of you.”

The moral of this story? Love yourself. Grab ahold of you and dream big. Never give up. And never let the size or shape of your body keep you from finding and feeling loved. It is a need-to-know, must-read for all the lady and gentleman romance lovers.

"Leave your negativity at the door."

Moore to Love is clearly the feel good book of the summer. A book I honestly could not put down and one that captured my heart.

Faith Andrews gives us one of THE best heroines I've read in a long long time in Leni Moore. She is so relatable. Her struggles with being a bit zaftig (look it up) in a world where everyone seems to be a size two had me laughing hard one minute and tearing up the next.

It's all told in Leni's POV and her biting wit was a complete joy to read. You become one of her besties, right along with Tatum and Ashley as Leni talks to the reader many times throughout and makes you feel like you are one of the crew. Oh my and what a crew it is. Her loud, overbearing but completely loving family reminded me of my own Italian upbringing, complete with wooden spoons and Sunday dinners! You're there as discussions become yelling fests that are never short on love but come with the requisite dose of sarcasm.

And in the middle of all the mayhem that is Leni's life, not one but two suitors rock her world. And she finally (!) sees that no matter her size nor her self-doubt, she is worthy of happiness. The slow burn, the stumbling for a chance with the shy yet gorgeous Lane was the heart of this book. Their bumpy road together, although filled with missed opportunities and tightly-held secrets, is worth every misunderstanding. It's a sweet journey for both of them and one that will warm your soul completely.

Taking place in the greatest city in the world, Moore to Love has it all. It will give you the warm and fuzzies like no other and will have you standing taller as you realize right along with Leni, that we are all beautiful in our own way. We just have to own it.

So well done. A huge 5+ stars!

I dropped all my other books as soon as Moore To Love landed on my kindle. I had no doubt that Faith Andrews beautiful words would leave an impression on my heart, they ALWAYS do. This is a book you do not want to miss, it's most definitely my top read of 2016. What Faith did was amazing, she brought to surface a subject that many of us do not like to touch-our weight- but this story was written remarkably and definitely left a needed impression. Faith took one of the hardest self struggles and brought it to pen and paper, it's admirable, and ballsy. But there is no doubt that she pulled it off.

I adored reading Leni's journey to self love. It was an amazing roller coaster ride, with millions of bumps and curves. She was an amazing character to get to know, and I loved every ounce of her and her story. The ending was my absolute favorite. This book will always leave a mark on me, body, mind, and soul. And it's an amazing reminder to love ourselves and we will eventually find the happiness we all have deep down, the happiness we all deserve. I hope you enjoy this remarkable story. I'll be hanging on the edge of my seat waiting on Faith and her next heart pounding read. ♡

Faith Andrews is a go to author for me, so whenever she has a new book it’s pushed to the top of my TBR list. I love that you can really connect to her characters, they are easy to relate to and I can usually see a little of myself in each one.

Leni is exactly one of those characters that I can connect with, in struggling with weight and self-confidence issues. I think a lot of readers will be able to connect and fall in love with her. Lane is hot with a huge caring side, but he has a HUGE secret that he is hiding. I had a harder time connecting with him and it felt like I needed more. Maybe if we would have gotten his POV too, I would have felt more of a connection. I loved the two together and loved how they started, yah for clumsiness and trees!!

This isn’t just a romance; it deals with real life issues and learning to love yourself no matter what. I loved experiencing Leni’s transformation and growth throughout the book. One thing she wasn’t lacking was an amazing support system. I’m hoping we get more in the form of a book on Tatum and Hudson  I would highly recommend this book and author.

After meeting this lady in person I was excited to read this book! I am so glad I did. This is a phenomenal read!
Everyone has something they hate about themselves and sometimes finding the positive is an unattainable task. Leni has heard it all right down to ““You have such a pretty face.” I force an unenthusiastic smile, assuming she’ll leave it at that, letting the unspoken words “if you only lost weight” dangle awkwardly between us. But nope. Not this time . . .” Fighting the dauntless task of weight loss, learning to love herself in her own skin and finding the ever elusive Prince Charming. She is an amazing character that is funny, smart, talented and deserves everything her heart wants.
“Love is not patient, or kind. Love is f@*king stupid.” Get in on this witty journey of fun and learning to love what you have. When you are done I promise you will be “Happier than a fat kid with a Twinkie.” You will feel all of Leni’s struggles, you will cheer with her and cry with her. You will feel stronger in you own skin by the end and maybe love yourself a little bit more.

What a inspiring book. These characters had me rolling in laughter and crying with compassion. Faith totally broke the mold with this one. It was nothing like any of her other books or anything I've ever read before. You will want to be Leni's personal cheerleader. This is a book you'll want to read today.

This was my first Faith Andrews novel and it won't be my last.
Moore to Love was a book about a woman dealing with her insecurities.

Leni Moore is a woman struggling with her weight and the insecurity it can bring. Something of which I can totally relate to, which made me enjoy this some what romantic comedy, with the serious aspect of how everyone deals with their insecurities differently.

Well for Leni, she just sees herself as an overweight woman with nothing else going for her, she let her weight define who she is until she's maid of honour, for her sister in law to be's wedding. So when they embark upon a fitness regime, Leni soon finds new benefits to working out, eating healthily and losing weight.

So when she starts jogging in the park, she finds herself meeting new friends and one particular "Mr. Fancy Pants" a hot jogger she notices but does not have the courage to talk to until she runs face first into a tree and a concussion, Mr. Fancy Pants aka Lane comes to her rescue. He stays to make sure she's ok and they become acquainted and find there is a mutual attraction.

This book shows sometimes you have to give up on past insecurities and learn to love yourself and not let them define you anymore. Lane draws these feelings out of Leni and she can't seem to see past them as she can't understand why someone as hot as Lane would be into her.

The book also deals with the fact sometimes to love someone else you have to learn to love yourself and there is more to people than how they look, every person has their unique insecurities - but sometimes if you embrace them they don't have to define who you are.

It was a great read and I couldn't help but love all the characters. It was definitely such a different read than I'm used to, but I could relate to Leni on a more personal level and Lane was just such a gentleman it Was so unexpected but in a good way.

Can I just say how awfully wonderful this book is?

Moore to love is such a beautiful story. It teaches about the importance of accepting yourself like you are. About how cruel can the people be. But it also teaches about friendship, about love and  about how supportive the persons you least expected it can be.

From this story you can learn to not judge a book by its cover. That not everything is what seems. And that there is more of a person than what's on the outside.  No matter how beautiful the outside is, the only important thing is what it's inside. To be kind, to be fierce, to be generous and to have empathy.

It's so important to accept yourself as who you are. No buts or ifs. This book makes an important remark on how important it is to accept and love yourself, so you can love others and the others to love you.

It also reminds me how to embrace your life and live it day by day, to accept and give compliments, to get around good people, with beautiful hearts. To learn how to see the good in everything, even in the darkest and hardest times.

Moore to love taught me  that looks can be deceiving. And one of the biggest lessons that this story gave me  is this one: “Beauty comes in many shapes, sizes, and colors, Len. You are beautiful..." and even if your name is not Madeline, or if you're not called Len or Leni. You are beautiful.

But remember. It's what is inside us that matters. Be good, do good.

And if my emotional rant didn't convince you to but this book (a tear falls down my cheek), here is one of my favorite quotes:

“Good, because once you’re mine, you’ll need to get used to me kissing you everywhere and anywhere I please.”

3-3.5 stars. Moore to Love was a cutesy feel good read. Madeline "Leni" Moore has struggled with her weight all her life and often her self worth has been tied up in that struggle. When her brother announces his upcoming marriage Leni decides to try and lose the weight. With her friends help she starts an exercise program with a personal trainer. Through her morning runs in the park she notices a hot guy she playfully dubs "Mr Fancy Pants" after his stylish running clothes and sneakers. When a crash collision with a tree lays Leni up with a concussion, "Mr Fancy Pants" or Lane is right there with a front row seat to it all and takes Leni to the hospital. From there the two strike up a friendship/flirty relationship. Everything seems to be falling in place for Leni career wise, relationship wise and her self esteem has really improved until feelings from the past catch her off guard when Lane reveals something he hadn't been forthcoming about. Can the Leni be the new confident girl she's destined to be and move forward or will old habits truly not die and cause Leni to succumb to the spiral of self doubt she so desperately is trying to escape?

I liked the characters, especially the best friend Tatum (spinoff?) and the story was cute I just wish the story would have dug a little deeper. I feel like this was kind of a surface read and maybe that's what it was meant to be, but I like my reads to have a little more meat to them. The message was wonderful and one that many will be able to relate to since most of us do have something we have struggled with all our lives, whether it's weight, height, the size of your nose, crooked teeth; we all have insecurities.

This book hit me right in the feels. Leni is easily one of the most relatable characters I've ever read. I give major props to Faith for writing her in a way that felt authentic and not just as a way to pander to a certain crowd looking to be represented in the fictional world.
I am Leni and all of that self-doubt she feels, despite multiple people telling her how beautiful and amazing she is, was so on-point I couldn't help but cry. At the same time Leni never came off as overly self-deprecating and annoying which, I find, tends to happen in books where the female is a little outside the norm of what society deems beautiful.
I love that Leni had not just one, but two sexy, intelligent, thoughtful men who didn't just see beyond her weight but lusted after every part of her, inside and out.
This book was sweet, fun and the perfect summer read for anyone who struggles with insecurities. So pretty much anyone who is human and likes to read. I highly suggest picking this one up straight away.

Can't wait for everyone to get to read this AMAZING story by Faith!!! The story is an inspirational story of one woman's journey on accepting herself and finding her place in the world. Love the message the book projects!! Love yourself and don't let anyone take that from you!! It's not about how you look it is about what is inside your heart that matters! I can relate to Leni and her story and I believe many others will too.

*ARC provided in exchange of an honest review* as usual the author delivers a book that will hit you in the right places and will make you have the feels.. I was captivated by this story because the heroine was not perfect and she was okay with it.. then came along someone that actually made her feel like she was on top of the world and the story took the direction it was supposed to! Definitely a great story!

Won an ARC copy from Faith for an honest review

While reading Madeline’s story, I understood every feeling she felt. What person doesn’t feel like they aren’t slim enough for society’s approval? But the good thing about Leni is that she accepts her body figure and is happily living her life as she sees fit. Yet that comes crashing down when news hits that her younger fit brother is getting married and guess who the maid of honor is? Yup, you guessed it – Leni. Now she wants to lose some pounds to look fabulous like any female would when a wedding is approaching fast. Her soon to be sister in law, Ashley encourages her to hire a trainer with her and the journey begins. She says goodbye to fast food, chips, chocolate, and pasta based foods, which is kind of hard since she is Italian. She works hard and doesn’t surrender to temptation. Her hard work is successful in the end and she is slimmer than her 220-pound older self. Although she has made progress that doesn’t stop her from continuing her training. So she continues one of her daily workouts of running in the park. She sees and greets the regular runners in the park, but doesn’t have the courage to talk to that one guy she has developed an attraction for since the beginning of her training. Until one day she hits a tree and the guy becomes her knight and aids her. There is an attraction between the two, but both are kind of shy to act on it until Leni takes the leap and starts to flirt with him. Lane and Leni hit it off well, but he seems to be distant when things become too heated between them. Leni feels like it has something to do with her, or is it something else? Well, you have to read to find out!!!

I absolutely loved this book. Leni’s character just gets to you, like who doesn’t have the same insecurities she has at least once in their life. It could have been from puberty to transitioning from teen to an adult, but everyone faces the feeling of not being enough. Well for Leni, it is like for any other person, and she is one of those strong willed people to not let the feeling crush her spirit. Instead, she works to make herself feel good and not for anyone but for herself, which is awesome! Leni and Lane through the middle of the book gave a lot of mixed emotions and I was so happy Leni told him to choose. Like seriously Lane, you feel for her or you don’t, it’s that simple. But after knowing his background, you kind of feel for Lane. Overall it’s a 5 star for me and people should so read their story. Plus Leni is funny as hell with the girls.

I struggle with where to begin in my thoughts about this book. I applaud Faith Andrews in her bravery with this story. This subject matter is not easy to write about. There is a fine line between what is right and wrong as well as what is acceptable and unacceptable in society. Moore to Love shares the journey of a young woman who has struggled with her weight and self-confidence the majority of her life. In society today, there is so much more talk about body shaming and what a woman should look like. Trying to find out where you are on the spectrum is a challenge and I loved how this story shows the ups and downs of a young woman’s journey.

Leni is a brilliant character. Anyone who has struggled with their weight or body image can relate to this woman. She has so much going for her but she cannot see past the lies and hurtful words of her past and society as a whole. I love that this story is not about one woman’s physical transformation from caterpillar to beautiful butterfly. Instead it is about finding who you are and embracing the self-confidence to be that person unapologetically no matter the outer physique. Leni goes through so much in this book. There are victories and losses. She learns to love herself and things begin to fall into place. She finds confidence in who she is by allowing truth and new situations to change her perception. This is a love story but perhaps not what you are expecting. It is a self-love story, learning to love who you are and letting the haters fall away.

Leni and Lane are brilliant together. They compliment in ways that were different for romance stories today. I loved their slow burn story and cheered them on continuously. Their sweet moments are rivaled by their passionate ones. They both have stories to tell and when the truth comes out, it changes everything.

Faith did a fabulous job sharing a story about love in its many forms. There is love of self, familial love, deep friendship, and romance. Leni is a woman that you grow to love and admire as the story progresses. This book is yet another story that the world needs to read!
