Yet here comes Tyler Paulson, crashing through the door of my life. I know he’ll be trouble, but I can’t escape that smile…
He's our new hot shot quarterback, and I’m supposed to show him around the city, but what I really want to do is show him how much I’ve grown up. Except there's one little problem. If I screw this up, I'm out of a job.
So I have to be professional. No frisky business, and no mixing business with pleasure.
But Tyler doesn’t play by the rules. He’s used to getting what he wants.
I’ll have to resist and not give him the upper hand, but it’ll only be a matter of time before he scores his second chance.
Rushed is a full-length romance with an HEA, no cliffhanger, and no cheating.

Easy read like most of the authors books. If you are looking for a filler book until you can find something a little deeper and that has more substance this is going to be a great read. I enjoyed it, I didn't get anything from it other than a few chuckles and heads shakes but it did its job to entertain me enough until I can get stuck in a new world.
April and Tyler Paulson went to camp together but he doesn't remember her. Now he's been drafted to play football for the Fighters the team that she works for and she's been assigned as his PA. April has had a hard life and is shy and Tyler is determined to bring her out of her shell. The two of them start dating and fall hard for another but a scandal and a chance to play in the states again may ruin their happily ever after. I loved April and Tyler together and thought that they really complimented each other. I understood why she didn't tell Tyler that they were childhood sweethearts and waited until things were a bit more serious for them.
Alternating between sexy, sweet, and sad, ‘Rushed’ is a heartfelt second chance, football romance. A little heavy on the football and a bit too neatly wrapped up but still a fun, warm read. The characters spill over from the two previous books in this series but it can be read as a stand alone. I hate reading books out of order, though, so I liked already knowing about the characters’ backgrounds and relationships. It was also fun to see what the other characters were up to. Sure this book probably won’t win any writing awards but it was definitely entertaining and I really enjoyed it.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Tyler is the quarterback for the Bulldogs. He is worried about the League draft, that's coming up, and is working hard and has been on his best behavior. It's not enough. That's all good and well but it also helps if your in high demand. So, he's off to Canada to play for the Toronto Fighters. April works as an admin assistant for the Fighters. She's not very good with the players, but she is working to help support her family, during their time in need. She gets tasked with the job of personal assistant to the new quarterback, Tyler. The same Tyler she knew as a young teenager? The same Tyler that gave her her first kiss? Sure is....well that was about the extent of their fling. Now she has to work with him on a daily basis, be professional. Their meeting goes off without a hitch. Tyler doesn't remember her. Time to do her job. Tyler has this niggling feeling about her he just can't put his finger on. April resolves to just do her job and move on, but it's hard. Tyler is handsome and sexy and all the girls want him. Tyler doesn't mind giving "all the girls" what they want. Soon they become friends. Could that turn into more? Could a sexy quarterback be interested in a shy, reserved woman like April? Their friendship quickly develops into something more, something real. A foolish mistake comes back to bite Tyler in the butt; talk about a game changer. This one is about to dictate the rest of his life. GREAT BOOK ! AN AWESOME LOVE STORY ! I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF TYLER AND APRIL ! THE PERFECT BALANCE OF HOT & SEXY AND SWEET & ELECTRIC ! ! !
I don’t know what it is, but I cannot get enough of football romance books right now.
I was so excited to receive this ARC! Lauren Landish really knows how to tell a football story. Its light on the football, and heavy on the steam! Rush was a great addition to this series. I loved seeing Duncan and Carrie make an appearance from Over the Middle in this book. Of course like all of Ms. Landish’s books, this is a complete stand-alone.
I was moderately surprised that I liked reading about Canadian Football. I didn’t even know they had such a thing! This book was easy to read and very touching considering the hero and heroine has a past from when they were children. I even loved the surprise bun in the oven. It was scary to think that April would have a life altering disease, and Tyler would stand by her side through it all.
These two characters were made for each other. Ms. Landish did a magnificent job of portraying the love these two characters carried for each other throughout the years. I hope to see more sports romances from Lauren Landish.
Tyler didn't get picked on draft day but the Canadian league has offered hm a deal and he takes it. April is a PA for the Toronto Fighters and her job is in jeopardy and also her parents health is declining so April is under a lot of pressure. April has been told she is going to be Tyler's PA and she can't believe she will see the boy from her childhood again. Disappointed Tyler doesn't recognize her but she doesn't say anything. Tyler and her get along and little bumpy at first but they can't deny the spark anymore. But when Tyler gets slapped with a lawsuit, her parents health declining and now an offer with his career will April be an afterthought or will love conquer all? Love this story of April & Tyler and love seeing bits of Duncan & Carrie too.

This is Tyler and April's story. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was used to. The twists in the story just kinda went away and April just let some things slide. Tyler was a so called player before but you didn't really see that. You instantly get the good Tyler. You do get to see April open up and come out of her shell.
This does have a HEA. I am glad it didn't just jump right in the wedding and babies before the end. Tyler realizes what is more important in life.
I received a advanced reader copy and voluntarily provide my honest review.
As soon as April heard who she had to be a PA to she could only think of the time as kids and the first kiss he gave her. But when she picked him up he didn't remember her and she didn't say. Over time they found things easy and comfortable like he knew her all his life. When the time to confess she was nervous. But when love comes to play who knows what could happen.
I'm a sports romance nut and this left me just meh. I liked Tyler. April left me a bit cold. It just felt like it was rushed and even though the chemistry was there it was kind of boring. Sorry, I hate leaving poor reviews, but this was lacking. I won't read the others .
Rushed is a quick and enjoyable second chance romance story. I didn't realize Rushed was part of a series when I picked this one up and feel it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. It's the perfect book when you want something light and not too involved.
Tyler paulson the newest member of the Canadian league football. After not being in the draft in the US leagues the Canadian team give a call offering him a chance being that he no other choice he goes. Once there is picked up by and old crush but doesn't remember her she don't tell him. But there is just 1 problem she is his PA. There is hurdles as you expect but what Lauren landish has in store for Tyler is shocking lol. Although you can tell everything gets thrown into the authors work nothing is missing nor does it lack anything in the plot.
Tyler is off to Canada to play ball. It’s all he has ever wanted but he really wants to play for a USA team. A few seasons in Canada will help though.
Assigned a PA, April, she isn’t really assertive enough but she knows something he doesn’t. They have met, they know each other as children. She can’t get him out of her head but if she messes up one more time, she will be out of a job!
Rushed was a light, flirty read that kept me entertained, but it didn’t leave a lasting impact. The chemistry between the leads was fun in the moment, and their banter added some charm. That said, I found the plot a bit predictable and the conflicts too easily resolved. It’s a decent choice if you’re in the mood for something quick and breezy, but it didn’t fully sweep me off my feet.
Wow what a book. Feel for each other when they were kids. First kiss and all. But she remembered him. When they finally made it official she told him. Loved her like no tomorrow. Love this series
I was pulled into this book right from the get go. So much so that I couldn't put it down until I had finished. There are a few surprises and what surprises. A book well worth reading. Well worth the 5 stars I have given it and I highly recommend it.
I’m Canadian so I loved that the story took place in Toronto. Even great to hear that she was from London as that is where I live and most don’t know about it. It was fun to read and a great storyline
What do you do when you are reunited with the guy you shared your first kiss with, only he doesn't remember you? This is exactly what happens to April, a PA for the Toronto Fighters pro football team. Too shy to be able to handle pro athletes, April is given one last chance to prove herself as a personal assistant when she is assigned to handle the Fighters' new quarterback, Tyler Paulson. As soon as she hears his name memories of a summer spent in America come rushing back to the forefront of her mind. When she goes to pick him up from the airport and he sees her for the first time in over ten years, reality comes crushing down on her--he doesn't recognize her. While the little girl in her is hurt, the woman she is realizes she still has a job to do. But the way Tyler looks at her and talks to her, she doesn't know if she'll be able to maintain that professional line.
Tyler knows he's got to buckle down in Canada if he ever hopes of being able to play ball in the US some day, sooner rather than later. When shy girl April is assigned to be his PA, he's glad for the help since he has no clue about where things are or what to do while living in Toronto. She reminds him of someone, but he can't remember who. When he invites her out for some fun one night, he's shocked when a bombshell walks up to him instead of the meek girl he met. Determined to get her out of her shell, Tyler pursues April, but the more time they spend together, the more he wants to erase that line between personal and professional. But as drama unfolds in both of their lives, will they be able to remain together?
Loved this new sports book by Lauren! We got to know a little bit about Tyler in Over the Middle, but so much more in this book. Unlike his best friend Duncan, he doesn't get picked to go to the pros in the US. Trying to make the best out of playing ball in Canada, we see a sweeter side to him in this book, especially when it comes to him and April. I liked reading about them as teenagers and seeing their relationship evolve as adults. Not to mention when they were together, it is definitely hot! The background drama will sometimes make you cry, but it will all be worth it in the end. Loved it!

Great story about love, Canadian Football and the push/pull this couple face as they fight their feelings for one another. Tyler is the quarterback for the Bulldogs and April is the admin assistant for the Fighters. Tyler is having a bad time after not getting picked after the draft so he is going up to play for the Canadian league. He got a good offer to play with Toronto Fighters and while there, he gets a PA assigned to him—which happens to be April. It so happens to be that these two have a history with each other (same Tyler that gave her the very 1st kiss as a young teenager) Now she has to be very professional and prim with him. But the past stings and she doesn’t know how she will be able to do it since ole Ty doesn’t remember their lil “fling” from years past but she will have to, as her grandmother is depending on her. Tyler has this feeling there is something about his new PA April that he needs to remember, there is something calling to him on a deeper level that he wants to explore, if she will ever give him the time of day. Soon he is able to get her to be friends with him but he wants more of April—The handsome quarterback wants more of the shy lil PA and he is determined to make that happen. Their friendship quickly develops into something more real but that is quickly nipped by a stupid mistake that Tyler made that hurts April and causes him a lot of discomfort. Will this spells the end of their relationship? This mistake is a change to his playbook and a definite game changer. Will April and Tyler be back on course or is this the end of the line for them? This was a great story and I loved how there was a lot of sports reference, especially when Canadian football to which I knew nothing about. I loved the twist and turn in this story. The ending was sweet and I enjoyed seeing some characters from previous stories make an appearance –aka Duncan and Carrie from Over the Middle . If you love reading about passion, love, 2nd chance romances and sports in your romance novels, then this is the book for you.
My rating: 4.5 stars **** **I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review***
This is a wonderful and heartwarming sport romance and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story covers Tyler Paulson a quarterback who was not accepted by the league and goes to play for Canada and meets April Grey at the airport and unbeknown to him or not remembering that he met her at a summer camp many years ago. April is a shy young woman who does not work to well with the football players but is told that she is to be Tyler's PA. April cannot afford to lose this job as her mother has Alzheimer and her father has late stage liver cancer. What you will find in this story is drama, suspense, a bit of humor, being told she will be Tyler's PA, memories, meeting Tyler and telling him she is his PA, going to hotel, looking for a apartment, found one, going to a club, ditched by Tyler for two girls, hangover, naked, April angry, dinner date, phone-call, April's mother getting worse, going home and saying no to Tyler, football camp, going for a walk, home, intimacy, Tyler emotional feelings, kayaking on Sunday, punching Polland, a warning, fine, Tyler offering to share apartment with April, dad getting worse, dad falling, Tyler interviewed, served with paternity and child support papers, declaration of love from Tyler to April, April's friend can help with case, suspicion drink was spiked that night, visiting April's parents, tell Tyler about summer camp, punching old boyfriend, jail, bailed out, hand injured, phone-call charges of assault dropped, signing a contract and staying in Canada, bad news dad dead, funeral, getting sick, throwing up, while playing football match at half time proposes to April, acceptance, going to doctor, unexpected pregnancy and hot steamy erotic scenes. There is a bonus book included called "Reckless" that is just as well written. The story-lines and plots of both books is well thought out and written. The characters are well developed with emotional feelings of love, needs and desires. I would most definitely recommend this book to people that like to read a interesting heartwarming sport romance with a HEA.
Rushed is another great sport romance by Lauren Landish. I’m really loving and enjoying this ‘world’. The books are fast paced, steamy and quick reads with a great cover and pace. There always happens something. There are secrets and mysteries to discover. We met Tyler in Over the Middle: A Sports Romance and I liked him in that book. He is a great team mate and friend of Duncan.
Tyler got an offer in Canada. This isn’t where he wants to play, but he loves to play football so he accepts. To make his move easier, he gets a personal assistant, April. For April it’s the last chance to keep her job for the football team. She needs the job and the money, so she does everything to please Tyler. Tyler does feel comfortable with April and loves her company. Tyler asks her on a date and they have an amazing time together. They go on a couple dates after that day and become a couple.
April is a smart, caring, shy, naïve woman. Her home situation made me sad, but I was so glad that she found Tyler and he is always there for her. April doesn’t know how to act around men, but Tyler comforts her. She loves to watch Tyler play football and watches each home game he plays. She is his biggest fan.
Tyler is a talented player and really loves the sport. It was his dream to play pro in the States for so long, so now he works hard to get noticed in the States. He had to adjust to the team and the play in Canada, but he likes the team quickly. Tyler was never a relationship kind of man, but he only has eyes for April when they meet. Tyler is an amazing guy!
I was rooting for Tyler and April from the start. April needs a man like Tyler and Tyler needs April. They are a perfect match. I loved them together.
-- ARC provided in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! --
Arc copy for an honest review. This is the third book in this series and picks up almost where the last one ends with Tyler heading to Canada to take up his position with The Fighters team, April is given the task of being his PA. They have some history from when they were younger, something she has never been able to shake, whereas he on the surface doesn't appear to remember. I enjoyed this book it has a few unexpected twists, there are also some heartbreaking issues covered as one part of it. Cancer and Alzheimer's are both problems very much in highlight these days but these subjects were dealt with sensitivity and knowledge, showing that the author either had dealt with these herself or most certainly done research. The difficulty of coping with not only leaving his home country but the differences between the way Canadians play compared with USA are also handled with a good knowledge of the sport, as well as the disappointment of not being picked by a home team. A great book with enough content to keep interest held and descriptions of the areas and events are clear enough that you can almost see them in your mind. There is some contact with characters from the previous two books as well so you do get a bit of continuation so although yes you can read as a stand alone, I still feel that you get more out of it with having the previous stories as well.
