Great book to read heartfelt stories. Author very well connects different concepts of life other than just driving goals and getting results.

The Heart-Led Leader is a book of inspirational stories that illustrate the power of heart-led leadership to instigate real change and make a true difference in others' lives. Tommy Spaulding makes a good case for the power and value of servant leadership. My only complaint about the book is that he doesn't take readers on the "how" journey. If you're not naturally a person who leans toward leading with love, how do you learn to become a heart-led leader?

Leading from the heart means leading with love. When you embrace heart-led leadership, the lives of your employees, owners and customers all change for the better. It's not about being "touchy-feely" either. It's smart business. The author's studies have proven that leaders and organizations that lead with their heart are more successful and drive better results than those that don't.

The book uses the metaphor of the 18-inch journey from head to heart to delve into 18 aspects of heart based leadership such as love, caring and empathy. It contains some great examples of how leaders have exemplified these qualities and the positive impact it had on their organizations and the lives of others. The stories are all interesting; some poignant.

The life experiences relayed in this book are truly inspiring. I felt the book lacked the how-to. Example high school principle turns school around after mass shooting, the how isn't fully explored. I wish more of the how would have been included. There are amazing stories in this book of people making huge impacts; I just wanted more.

In the book, Spaulding argues that the most effective leaders are those who lead with their hearts rather than just their minds. He maintains that by prioritizing compassion, empathy, and connection with others, leaders can create more positive and productive work environments. Spaulding also offers practical advice for how leaders can cultivate a heart-led approach to leadership, including tips on how to communicate effectively with employees, build strong teams, and create a sense of purpose within an organization.
