Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children.

Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, charcuterie boards, and her mildly neurotic golden retriever. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person.

She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a super-sized tumbler of wine by her side.

I came across the first book in this series out of sheer luck. And immediately became enamored with all the characters. I couldn't wait for the rest of the books in the series to be released. My only regret is that I waited so long to get to the last book but only because I didn't want the series to end. Aly Martinez did a freaking FANTASTIC job with this entire series!!!

I know.. I just posted my last review of the third book in the series.. but since I bought the three of them in this book-set, I decided to make a sort of round-up of my thoughts.

I'll start by saying I LOVED this series and I seriously have to look up more books by Aly. The first and third books were AMAZING. Filled with New Adult angst at its best. I was hooked and I couldn't and didn't want to put them down. All three siblings are connected through their love of boxing and the free program offered by the new boxing gym "On the Ropes" changed their lives forever. Every book deals with a serious issue one of the brothers were going through and since they have 5-6 years apart, we get to see all of them grow up and mature, make families, continued on with their lives, take care of one another and make each other happy they best they knew how.

The Page brothers grew up in a horrible home with an addict of a mother and a father who couldn't stay out of trouble (and so was in jail most of their lives). In "Fighting Silence" Till Page, the oldest, the one who starts this series had to literally raise his siblings when he was barely an adult himself, but Flint and Quarry were never a chore for him, they were his happiness, together with Eliza Reynolds his true love since an early age.
The series continues in "Fighting Shadows" with Flint Page, the middle brother dealing with a heart ache of himself, while doing the right thing his life as he knew it shattered and now he doesn't know how to mend the pieces which is how Ash Mabie gets into the picture with her broad smile and unapologetic teasing.
The final novel "Fighting Solitude" of Quarry Page reminds us at times of Till's story with two things in common, first being they both become deaf throughout the book (suffering from a genetic disorder) and the second fighting for the women they loved and cherished from an early age and yet there the similarity ends with each having a totally different situation both in life and in general the main issue the book is about. Liv James was always Quarry's soul mate, but a lot has to happen before they can find each other at last.

Till and Quarry's book were perfection I LOVED THEM SO MUCH! (5 stars each!) Yet Flint's book was a miss for me (3 stars). I found out I didn't like the guy he turned out into and I didn't really connect with Ash though she did marvels for him and helped him get better. I actually went through more than 200 (!) reviews on GR to see if anyone had the issues I did with Flint and funny enough no one had.. I just totally dislike over-Alpha-high handed-controlling jerks but I seem to be in a minority so keep my review with a grain of salt. You'll probably enjoyed it and appreciate it much more than I did.

I HIGHLY recommend these books, they are simply great! Though there is a lot of angst, and it's heartbreaking, it also never felt OTT, it only made me want to see the HEA sooner rather than later. I loved seeing the recurring characters in each of the books. They all did a beautiful job of making this big happy family even if blood wasn't the common grounds - Boxing was. I'm going to miss these guys for sure.

Incredible series with incredible characters. I was blown away!
I went in with low expectations but lured by the promise of childhood romance (my absolute fav), boy was I surprised when I found that all three books offered 2nd chance romances and childhood or teenage romances. And even better, the writing was perfect and engaging. None of it came off as YA or even NA, two genres I loathe.

Quarry felt like the best was saved for last. Such an enduring story. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed reading a romance with no physical connection till nearly 60% through! But it was absolutely worth it after I had read the 1st two books. highly recommend that the series be read in order to appreciate the full extent of the Page brothers' journeys.

Quarry and Liv were certainly my favourite couple. Not a lot of people have patience to watch a h and H clearly meant for one another wait 14 years to actually get together but with Aly Martinez behind the wheel, I think most will find it in themselves to make an exception. It didn't feel over-drawn out at all, the wait and build up and slow realizations sinking in were perfect. The timeline with Mia was beautiful too, and enriched their story rather than detract from it. It felt real and raw.

Flint and Ash tied with Eliza and Till for me. I was satisfied with both their stories and they made for a great lead-in to Q and Liv. Till and Eliza's journey with the foundation of the Page family's ultimate success. Without them carrying the early burdens of poverty and striving to change the fate their parents had lazily handed to them, Flint and Q never could have been. It is the ultimate story of success. Till's window obsession was so frustrating for me but really just lent the story that more magic.

Flint's crush on Eliza was such a huge shock for me when I got around to book 2. There had been zero hints in book 1 so that bomb getting dropped in chapter one of his book was quite disorienting but again, lent the story a unique magical element that made it different too. Martinez serious proved has a crafty and incredible mind!

Flint and Ash's coming together was angst filled and frustrating to follow. The age thing was a big factor and to be honest I love how that obstacle was ultimately handled. I don't always love it when author's decide the romance is more important than real life boundaries. 16 year old kids do read this stuff, and a respectful message about those important boundaries was maintained in a satisfying manner for me. Not to be a hypocrite, I have totally read and guiltily enjoyed books where the age of consent rules were decimated beyond recognition... but no need for guilt here!

Overall, highly recommend this series if you are into sports romances, second chance, and relationships that take root early on in life. This series checked every box and was hot hot hot all at once. Adding to my absolute favourites list!

"On the Ropes"-trilogy follows the story of the Page brothers journey in finding themselfes and falling in love with their soulmates. My absolute favourite has to be "Fighting Shadows"...in some way mixed with "Fighting Solitude"..don`t really know. I love fighter romance as the heroes are always so smokily hot and manly. Their heroines know how to handle them, and their romance are steamy and heart-warming at the same time, of all the brothers the youngest one got to be my favourite, despite his faults he came to be a noble and strong-minded man, doing everything to protect his loved ones, especially his heroine.

Here is my review for all the books:

1. Fighting Silence: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

2.Fighting Shadows: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

3.Fighting Solitude: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Needless to say, i also get better at writing reviews!

THIS REVIEW IS RELATING TO BOOK 3

Ms. Martinez has given us the third and final book in this trilogy and it was another wonderful story of love and hope. Liv and Q met when they were just 9 and 10 respectively when Q saved her from bullies. They loved each other from that moment although she knew it, he didn’t! The author weaves a tale of 3 brothers who clawed their way up from a horrible start in life. Through many trials and tribulations these men find their HEAs. I loved that the culmination of the series ended with all the characters from two series being together.

Wonderful series! I recommend.

Well worth 5 stars and more

What an emotion journey. Three young boys who have suffered relentlessly have pulled them selves together to gain a better life. They have battled and overcome all obstacles that have been in their paths. They have grown and found equally strong women who have stood by their sides.

On my Word!

I read a lot of books. This series is one of the best! I just go to finished Quarry and Liv' story and want to re-read the whole series again. It was that good. I will likely think about them during the day, even though they are not real people. I love how she developed these characters. Great stories.

This series is a MUST READ!!!!!

Once you meet these Page brothers, your life will never be the same!

Till, Flint, and Quarry have struggled all their lives. This series takes you through the years and shows you what brotherhood is really about. It shows who will still be by your side when you have nothing more to give.

You are also introduced to the ladies that will forever change their lives. Each one of them brings something new to the table, but they are all a family in every sense of the word.

I will warn you that tears are bound to happen because there is so much heart that goes into these stories! Aly Martinez has this way with her words that leave your heart broken, and yet, full within a few pages. It's truly beautiful!!

I hope everyone enjoys the Page brothers as much as I have!!!

The Page Boys for the Win!!

Excellent series!! It hit every emotion possible. So well written and executed. I want to be a part of this crew. Their love, connections, and friendships were amazing! Sad it is over. Maybe a novella of the next generation is needed. I wanna see March and little Slate continue the realm!! A MUST READ for sure!!

See this is the issue with reading multiple books in one story, you can’t rate them individually… but if I could rate them individually, this would be my rating:

Book 1: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 2: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 3: ⭐️⭐️

Not my favorite series and not my favorite characters. ✌🏽
