Dom was the mysterious bad boy all my brothers warned me to stay away from. Even so, when I looked into his eyes, I saw someone I had to know. A man, who with a single touch, sparked a desire deep inside me.
I was wrong to trust. Mistaken to hope.
Brokenhearted Betrayed And on the run…
Dom Haynes, a man determined to protect that which he ruined. He thinks he can save us…he can’t. I’d given Dom my heart, and I don’t want it back, for fear of feeling, it’s broken insides.
I’m Della King, little sister to the infamous Portland Street Kings. However, I’m not the same woman I used to be. Nightmares I thought I'd controlled we’re once again taking hold.
Doms intentions are clear. He wants a second chance. Hate him or love him, he isn’t going anywhere.
"I wish I loathed him. I crave to become numb to him. I want to forget each beautiful moment we've shared. I hate that I love him."
A compelling and emotional read Tail is the third in the Portland Street Kings series and I recommend you read them in order to fully appreciate the plot lines and characters. Brought together by shared misery and torment, the Portland Street Kings redefine the term family. Resolute they stand in the face of danger, together they overcome anything thrown their way. Yet this time Della chooses to protect those she loves dearly by doing the one thing they would never approve of...running. Starting a mob war was never her intention but a hit has been ordered by the mafia king to pay a debt of blood. Not wanting her brothers lives to be at risk she leaves with the man that broke her heart but has sworn to protect her life. On the run and still reeling from the trauma of almost dying at the hands of a man she used to cherish Della loses herself in her pain. Allowing Dom to protect her and enlisting the help of her blood relatives who are infamous in their own right she finds herself alone and in the hands of the one man who managed to break her. Surrounded by him she struggles to separate her feelings of betrayal from her love for him. Waging a war against her nature and the bitterness she feels this is Della's road trip to find forgiveness within herself, acceptance for everything she has endured and the strength to find laughter even in the darkest of times.
Dom was blindsided by his feelings for Della, torn between his job and his heart he knows what a big mistake he made and is willing to pay the price to atone for his sins. Vowing to protect her no matter what he plans to take her to the O'Connors who have the power to negotiate the hit placed on her head. But can his determination to prove his love wasn't a lie remain strong in the face of her derision? Can he ever manage to tear down her walls brick by brick? And will her brothers ever forgive his lies? He has a huge debt to pay but will putting her life before his own win over her frozen heart?
Tail is a slower more angst filled read in this series, yet it is hauntingly moving especially the scenes written with Jared and Abi who embodied everyone's ideal at happily ever after despite the hardships they had endured. Evie Harper has a unique talent to use powerful language, creating wonderfully emotionally charged passages that linger long after the story has concluded. Crafting a story that made me care about the characters and desperate to read more about them. I have only just finish this instalment but am craving the next.
A five star Family overcomes all read.
~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~
Ayy ben bu seriyi sevdim valla.... duygusal olarak tatmin edici.. olaylar dersen polisiye gerilim tadında ama her şey var...
I loved this author.. I thinkthat this series will be finised as soon as new books released... I mean they wil be devoured.....
AhhhDom you are reallly man of honor.! wat a struggle for your girl/ love...... Della you need to epen your eyes nd cuddle with this man. He is Attractive but moreover he is brave as monster and determined for his heart....
Finally we get the story of Dom & Della and it did not disapoint. Love these two "damaged"characters. How they overcome all obstacles they went through especially Della.
Evie Harper delivers another fast-paced, erotic, emotionally charged ride with Tail, the third installment of the Portland Street Kings series. Dom and Della's story was thrilling and incredibly sexy, with a storyline that kept me hooked until the end. On the run with the mob hot on their trail, the two of them are forced to confront their feelings and past hurts as they fight for survival.
"I hope by the end of this dangerous game we’re playing, I'm her savior and not her enemy."
This author is so talented at writing this genre. Her characters are well-written and full of depth. We got to see bits of Dom and Della's relationship in the previous book, and I knew that once we got into their story, it would be an emotional roller coaster. There was so much tension in between them, as Della was still reeling from the realization that Dom was not who he originally said he was. I completely felt her internal struggle, and I felt for Dom at the same time due to the position that he was put in. Harper is brilliant at making you feel for the characters through her writing. I was rooting so hard for them to find the happiness they both deserved.
"Nothing remarkable comes without great sacrifice, and, baby, you have sacrificed enough. Please take one more leap of faith for me.”
The connection they shared was fierce, and watching them struggle to come back to where they once were was intense. Harper knows how to write angst like no other, and this book was a highly emotional one. I loved Dom's protectiveness and fearlessness as much as I loved how Della was both strong and vulnerable. The two of them both had so much to overcome, both personally and with each other. I wanted so much for them to resolve their issues, which ran so deep. One thing they couldn't deny was the passion that tied them together.
"I need you like a heart needs a beat."
The author brought things to a conclusion in a great way while setting the scene for the rest of the series. This is one of my favorite series, and I am so thrilled that there are more books coming. The cast of characters is a great one, with different personalities blending together to create a family bonded by loyalty and perseverance. I cannot wait for Pacer and Kelso's books, which are sure to be just as great as this one. This series is an absolute must read.
This series has a way about it, the beginning always starts with a bang and then I need to gobble up the book to get to where we started just in time for more chaos to follow. This is the third in the Portland King series and to really appreciate what is happening they should be read in order. That being said I was dying to find out about Della and Dom.
"I wish we could go back to the way we were before. I'd give anything for this nightmare to be over."
These two have a history that is filled with Dom's lies and Della's horrors. They were brought together under false pretenses and now that the truth is out there is no time for anyone to come to terms with it. Della is on the run, her walls have been formed and her heart frozen over. Dom knows he was wrong but even being pushed away isn't going to stop him from protecting Della and making this whole messed up situation right. During most of the book, they are fleeing, only staying moments away from those after them. But by a bizarre chance of fate they are brought to a place that perhaps can fix what is broken.
I spend most of this book at the edge of my seat waiting on bated breath for the next shoe to drop and drop it did. There was only really one part of all the action that made me feel like I had whiplash and I thought was a bit underdeveloped but for the most part it had me and worked well in the story-line. I felt that this was a perfect story for these two. Della was a bit brutal and she broke my heart. Dom was ever the rock and took his humiliations like a champ. This series is not over and I look forward to more.
The story has laughs, suspense, pain, secrets, betrayal, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Collision (Portland Street Kings #1) Fatal (Portland Street Kings #2)
This is Della and Dom’s story. Della was drawn to Dom but in the end her brothers were right to warn her. So, after the betrayal she is broken and is on the run. Dom wants Della back and determined to fight for her but after everything will she even take him back? He has a battle on his hands and knows if he can win the battle he will have the very thing he threw away before. No matter what Della is worth it.
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.
Please read books 1 and 2 prior to reading this review it contain spoilers.
Tail by Erie Harper was the best book in this series to date. There was so much raw and genuine emotion written on every page I read. I was so happy to finally get Dom and Della’s story, from the first 2 books in this series I knew it was going to leave me open to gut wrenching and heart breaking feelings, but when this author added danger and suspense I was an emotional mess. The Lucien family are after Della and for the first time Della has to put her trust in the man who betrayed her and not in her brothers.
Della is a character that I related too. She is beyond strong. If you’ve read the books in this series you know she was raped. Not only was her body violated but trust does not come easy for her especially with those outside her circle. Somehow this amazing, strong and determined woman put her trust in and give her body over to Dom, a man that was lying to her the entire time. Della is completely devastated but this new woman that emerges is one that will fight with her heart and soul to NEVER believe or trust any man again.
I should have hated Dom but I couldn’t. Right from the start his heart stuck out unlike any other man in this series so it really made it difficult to dislike him. Having known the pain, hate and distrust Della has towards him shatters his very soul. He is remorseful, sad and broken without her full trust and heart. I loved this man, he is a killer that’s his job to be strong and have no emotions but he does and he shows those feelings freely. He is an open book when it comes to Della. When the Luicini family puts a hit on Della he is the only person that can save her.
I loved how the author openly showed how both characters were effected by Dom’s deceit, the words and descriptions she used expressing the feelings were felt in every line. It was easy to feel the characters pain and to fall for them and feel for them. Dom would do anything to save Della life but what he wants more than anything is for Della to give him another chance, and that was strongly felt throughout the story.
Talk about an emotional roller coaster ride this story was. My heart was broke, crying and scared all at the same time. Dom is an open book here and let me tell you this man isn’t afraid to fight dirty. The suspense was real and the hotness level was scorcher. Della and Dom fighting their enemies is just as intense as the sex. There are more secrets that are revealed in this book and I love how the author keeps the Portland Street Kings story going, but also adds a different story line. You need to grab this book! It is so worth the emotional turmoil you will experience.
DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants and swearing.
STOP read book #1 and book #2 before this one. While each book focuses on one couple, there is a continuing storyline from the very beginning. Trust me, you will be lost.
26 year old Della King is the youngest of the Portland Street Kings. For nearly 20 years, these foster kids have bonded into a tight knit family unit. Their foster father abused them all, killed their other sister forcing them to take their chances living on the streets. The boys shouldered the burden, especially the oldest Slater. They got into stealing, selling drugs and eventually racing cars. 5 years ago everything crashed down around them. The father of the Scavello family (friends to the Kings) raped Della and in her state of shock she killed him. Slater takes the responsibility for her actions and war erupts between the Poison Boys and Street Kings. Rex Scavello puts a hit on Piper (Slater's woman) but Della is caught in the crosshairs. Later they find out that Piper is the sister they all thought died with their foster father comes to kill her. In a last effort to stop Rex from his quest for retribution, Slater takes his sister Lana as a threat. It finally comes out that Della actually did the killing which makes Rex spiral out of control. He almost kills her by the way of an oncoming train but he pushed her out of the way last minute. After surviving with a smashed wrist, Della is forced to go on to run to save her family from Frank Lucini. Her companion is the man she fell for, the man she loves, the man who broker her and the man who lied to her, the man who put her life in danger - 32 year old Dominic Haynes.
“Good or bad, you have to take the risk. Nothing remarkable comes without great sacrifice, and, baby, you have sacrificed enough. Please take one more leap of faith for me.”
“Keep trying to break my heart, baby. Add your cracks and painful scratches, create irreparable damage and if you need to, complete shatter it. I’ll piece it back together with tape and hope, and return to you with just as much love and patience as if my hear were while and new.”
"I promise the love we made will not be forgotten. You've been my lighthouse in the dark. I'm slowly waking up, reclaiming what I lost, and I swear, I won't let what we have fade away."
A lot changed for the Kings in this installment. Their baby sister was away from them for an extended period of time so it mostly focused on her and Dom. Set up some drama to come. Hopefully shift back to Portland.
Cliffhanger - no (book #3 of series) POV - Della & Dom
Holy smokes Batman!!! This is the third book in the Kings series and let me tell you, it is moving from the time you crack it open until the very last words.
Della is the youngest sister of the King family. She has not had an easy life thus far. However she has had some amazing bonus pieces come up. Della is a strong young woman who has to deal with four large, overbearing, protective brothers. While she is trying to have a life, she has to handle the men in her life wanting to protect her & make sure she is safe at all times.
Dom has had an easier life growing up. He was blessed to have two wonderful parents that have loved & cared for him. However he was an only child. As a result, he has created brothers out of his friends that he grew up with, joined the military with, and to this day are in his life and he would never leave behind. However, when his actions can cause danger for the one person that he has to have in his life, he leaves his brothers to help protect her. He will do anything to make up for his mistake, and make sure nothing happens to that person he thinks of as his other half.
Together these two amazing people have a hard, dangerous, and deadly fight on their hands. However, together, they can make it through most anything. This just means that they have to stay together, be honest with each other, and admit to what they want and need (if they can do that). When everything goes wrong and danger is knocking at their doorstep, will they be able to protect each other??
This was one of the stories that I was looking forward to from the time I started this series. Make sure you read them in order, as it will make it better to understand the full story line. If you love a large, protective family that would do anything to protect each other (with a little danger and mystery), this is a series for you!!
You already know going into Tail that Della's story is going to gut wrenchingly painful, the raw emotions Evie Harper is able to pull from her readers is amazing. Tail is filled with everything Tragedy, Anger, Pain, Deception, Determination, Regrets, Sorrow, Violence, Acceptance, Forgiveness, and Peace. You feel it all of them...you will cry, you will hold onto hope, and you will smile.
Dominic Hayes "Dom" (29) after revealing that he wasn't Brett, he knew that he had a fight on his hands to prove how much he loves Della. Dom's motto is "Patience & Protection" and we will fight to break down all of the walls around Della's heart. The amount of love that pours out of Dom throughout Tail is amazing, he never gives up and continues to fight for Della even when she insist on pushing him away. Della King (22) is the broken girl that has been through so much tragedy in her life. The walls around her heart are filled with anger and sadness. She is living her life waiting for everything to fall apart, again. She feels like "any more damage and she will remain in the darkness forever". This story will break your heart but the love that these two have for each other will glue the pieces back together. Jared & Abi are two new characters and they will melt your heart, grieving from broken hearts they become a safe haven for Della and help her see just what the future could hold. The family bond that flows through this series is magical and it makes you wish that all families had a bond this unbreakable.
Tail is the third novel in the Portland Kings series and cannot be read as a standalone, Della's life and tragedy has been weaved throughout the previous two books and you must know those stories to truly understand and love Della's perseverance for life and the unwavering love that Dom has for her.
Momma’s Review of Tail by Evie Harper Momma’s Rating 5 Stars! Third book in the series and “OH MY LAWDY” It’s an incredible emotional journey! Portland Street Kings has become one of my new favorite series, that I’ll always be wanting more of. Della and Brett/Dom’s story begins and let’s just say your heart gets to pumping right out of the gate. The prologue is highly charged and it only is a preparation of what’s to come. Della’s story is one of intrigue, it compels you from the beginning and holds you tight page after page. Della is on the run from the all mighty mafia, and she is dealing with heartbreak and a feeling of betrayal. Della is a strong young woman who is also vulnerable. These two have an explosive relationship one that will not be denied. I’m in love with these characters and there are some new ones you will read about that I hope to get more of in the coming books. The author has done an incredible job of keeping you in suspense the family ties are still every bit as strong in this book as it has been throughout each story. Slater is still the ever protective brother, and Pacer and Kelso are right behind him. I don’t want to give away any spoilers in this book as it’s one that must be experienced. This is a phenomenal series and I can’t wait for more! Make sure to read this series in order Collision, Fatal, and Now Tail! You don’t want to miss out on this series. Momma Hellmouth highly recommends this series! **Received an ARC from the Author in exchange for an honest review** **Reviewed for Hellmouth’s Bookblog & Reviews**
Book three in the Portland Street Kings series is all about Della and Dom. This series should be read in the order it was written as the titles continue to build one into the next. This one picks up immediately after where book two left off with Della in the hospital but needing to leave town in a hurry...
Della is still in the hospital recovering from major surgery on her wrist when she decides to leave town without telling her brothers. Della is only doing it to keep them safe since lord knows she doesn't want to be around the man who broke her heart any longer than she has to.
Dom is the man who has sworn to love and protect Della with everything he's got but that promise may be too little too late when you have the mob chasing after you. Dom calls in favors left and right even contacting Della's biological family - who has just as much power if not more than the people after her. Will Della ever forgive him for hurting her and can he keep her safe?
I absolutely loved this book for Della while it may have been a more sedate book than the others it was a perfect setting for Della. She has been through so much in her young life it just felt right to slow it down a bit and give her a chance to heal.
This one still had plenty of the action/drama/mystery like the others but I felt like everyone got a chance to catch their breaths in this book right up until the author hits us with another epic cliffhanger ending :)
Gah! I can't get enough of the Portland Street Kings! These alpha bad boys have stolen my heart. Slater, Mack, Kelso and Pacer are not only mouth watering delicious, but they also have hearts of gold and would do anything to keep their family safe. Along with their sister, Della, this family has been through one tragedy after another. Together, they continue to persevere and find love amidst the chaos that surrounds them.
Tail is Dom and Della's story. From the very first page, their story is non-stop. It is full of angst, suspense, and twists that you do not see coming. There was so much pain, regret, and shame that stood between Dom and Della. With an example of love, life, and family, they were able to find forgiveness and the light in their darkness. I really enjoyed the direction that Tail took. I'm so excited about the introduction of Jared and Abi. I fell in love with them, and I can't wait to see where their story leads. I also love how Evie has incorporated the O'Connor brothers from her You Loved Me series in Tail, and I hope that there will be more to come of them as well.
Fans of Collision and Fatal will LOVE this book! It has everything that we have come to love from Evie Harper. Alpha bad boys, strong feisty heroines, drama, action/suspense, and lots of intense sexual chemistry! Tail is a perfect addition to this series. I cannot wait to read what's next!
Ok you have very quickly became my favourite author your books are so full of action sadness an exsitement this book was just as good as all the other ones brill book well done will be reading all of them
I always hate reading a book when I know that I am going to have to wait for the next one. I try to drag the book out and read it in little bits aiming to extend it as long as possible. This book was no exception!
I wasn't really sure about Della's story. I was worried about how she could possibly overcome everything she has been through but remain true to herself and her family. There is some serious self reflection and deep emotional turmoil in this book., it is well thought out and really cleverly put together.
Our strong, warrior woman. She has been looked after by her big brothers for all these years but now she has to stand on her own two feet. She has come through hell and out the other side, time and time again. Her trust has been broken, her innocence stolen and her heart trampled, repeatedly and yet she still has the power to keep going. She is back in danger, again!
The man who has, most recently, broken her heart is out to protect her, to save her from herself as well as from danger. Dom made a mistake, okay he made a few mistakes but he is here to make amends and repair what has been damaged.
This is an action packed, emotionally raw, rollercoaster of a ride that I couldn't slow down even if I wanted to. The only disappointment is having to wait for the next book!
Tail is the third book in Portland Street Kings series and should be read in the order if you want the full experience. This is Dalla and Dom's (also known as Brett) story.
Tail follows the events in Fatal. Dalla is just after waking up in the hospital after an attempt on her life was made by her old boyfriend. She just found out that Dom/Brett has lied to her about who he is and she hates him for it. Dalla has been through a lot in her lifetime, and she doesn't trust easily. So when she finds out that Dom has been lying all along, she is devastated. Unfortunately, he is also the only one that can save her from the mob that is after her. She now has to leave her brothers behind to keep them safe and trust Dom to keep her alive.
I was so angry at Dom for hurting Della the way he did and I wanted to hate him. But you can see throughout the book how much he regrets his actions and how he is doing everything in his power to earn Della's forgiveness and trust. You can see that he is madly in love with her and would do anything to protect her.
Tail was full of heartbreak, emotions, drama, suspense and angst. It was everything I hoped it would be and I cannot wait to see how Kelso's and especially Pacer's stories will unfold.
Book three in this series and not one to miss but one should read the first two in this series first. This is Della and Dom's story. There was something between them but it was all under false pretences. When the truth is revealed Della is heartbroken. Not only did she survive a most horrific event but she also lost faith in what she believed to be love. Recovering from injuries to her body but also a broken heart she decides to run from the present danger brought on by not only her past actions but also her involvement with Dom. The two decide to take a road trip to what they both hope will keep them safe from the devils who are after them. On their journey they have to face the dangers that come with dealing with the mafia and end up in a save heaven where they rediscover what brought them together in the first place. But what happens when the bad guys find them? Will they be able to survive the attacks they are facing? This is a story full of twists and turns you don't see coming. A lot of angst and suspense enough to have you at the edge of your seat. An addition to this series not to be missed and I can't wait to see what else Evie has up her sleeve. A definite recommend and another 5 star read for me❤️
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review - Naomi / Scandalous Book Blog***
Im a sucker for a good MC book and after loving the first 2 books of this series I couldnt wait to read #3. I was not disappointed, Evie wrote a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and the connection between this couple is deep and will consume you.
Della and Dom have a past, they spent an amazing night together, Dom upped and left straight after telling her he wasnt who she needed and she lost her heart.
After recent events Della finds herself travelling away from her friends and family with a man who broke her. Dom didnt just hurt her he put her in danger and now he wants a do over. He want to protect her and keep her safe. He also wants back in her heart but she has built her walls up.
Della is in a constant battle with herself. She loves the man sat beside her but she knows that she has to be strong and keep him at arms legth because if she gave herself to him again she wouldnt survive if it all turned to shit again.
Dom has a plan and has a well mapped out route to their final destination, however he didnt expect to be found so soon. Now they must fight to survive.
THERE IS A FINE LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE...which one will win!!!
We were left with a cliffy on Fatal and the fact that the Mafia is coming after Della after what happened to Lana's brother. Della eliminated the only way they had to do their business.
Dom left on Fatal, but he has come back. Is Dom ready to give explanations to the Portland Street Kings? Even after all that happened he is back, what the Street Kings don't know is that Dom has a hidden agenda. The surprise is that he is ready to claim Della as his. Can Della forgive Dom, and be there for him for the most difficult moment in his life?
In the process of keeping Della safe, she gets to know the real Dom and also seeking shelter they get the surprise of a lifetime. Someone appears in Portland and the boys may think one of their own may make the decision of leaving them, and is killing them. We get a chance to see a pick of what awaits some of the other characters in the book. What? I am not going to tell you, but you can get this amazingly written story so you discover the great things that happen to this pair in their escape. I have to say I am totally ready for the new book that really promises to be a really adventurous one for the Street Kings.
Received a copy of this book for an honest review. Evie Harper continues to amaze me with her brilliant characters and highly addictive storylines. I have yet to read one of her books that I wanted to put down. This one grabs you from the beginning. I was completely captivated by Dom and Della. You encounter a wide range of emotions throughout this entire series and the one thing that stands out every time is family. Della is a strong character and has endured not only physical injuries but a broken heart as well. She is stronger than she realizes and will do whatever she must to protect her brothers even if it means running. The one man that swears to protect her is the man that broke her heart. Dom knows he made the wrong choice. He is determined to atone for that and make things right. Getting through to Della and protecting her is his top priority. Lies, deceit, action, intrigue, and lust are a few things you will find in this book. It is a little slower than the others but it packs punch in a different way. A must read!!!
I love Evie Harper Series, Dom and Della on the Run from the Mafia, Della is in love with Dom but is afraid to show her true feelings because of all the hurt she has been put through by all the men in her past. Dom is going to prove her wrong that he is going to be there for her, on the way to Hastings to a funeral and to a safe house they end up breaking down and find a farm house, they end up sleeping in the barn for the night! They are woken up by the owner the next morning with a rifle pointed at them! The owners quickly find out that they ate veggies from the garden but left money under a pot on their porch and it was way more than they ate, and that their car was broken down and it's why they stayed in the barn. The owners names are Jared and Abi, and they decided to let them stay and help them until their car can get fixed. Dom and Della find out some interesting connections to Dellas family but I won't spoil the story. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait for the next book!
When you think a series can't get any better, and you know all there is to know about the characters then BAM!! What a story Dom and Della have. A beautiful, romantic love-hate relationship that comes full circle to give one of the best healing love stories I can ever remember reading. I loved this book, can you tell?
Evie Harper is unbelievable in her ability to create complex and deep characters and my goodness can she write twists! The most magical thing about the series Evie writes is the way they intertwine. I have the utmost respect for the way these books are delivered and I couldn't imagine my life without reading them.
The introduction to two older characters in this book left me in tears and completely speechless. I really hope we see more of these characters moving forward with the series.
If you haven't started the Portland Street Kings series yet, get started now! I promise you won't be disappointed.
Della and Doms story, I was dying to get my hands on this and man am I stoked that I did cause Evie just gave me another OMG book.
I love Della, she's a fighter, strong, Independent, loves her family fiercely. Her connection with Dom is undeniable.
Dom is is fearless and protective. There is nothing he won't do to keep her safe. Even if that means taking down the whole mafia. With trust broken, lives lost, family in turmoil and on the run to stay safe. Evie bring you a fast pace thrilling story that will keep you at the edge of your seat.
I love Evie's writing, her stories are always so full of angst, her characters are deep, and her stories are phenomenal. She never disappoints. I've read every book she has written and I can't say enough about them. Thanks Evie for another fantastic read.
I am a huge fan of Evie's Portland Street Kings series and I couldn't wait to read Della's story. God the girl just tore up my heart with all she had been through. She is so damn strong even as she processes through the latest with Dom. I wanted to shake him for what he had done to her, but the man was shaking himself enough. He wasn't going to give up on the love they shared and was willing to endure anything including the pain she inflicts on him while drowning in her own. They are on the run from those trying to kill her which puts them in the position to have to deal with each other. I wanted them to move past it all to be stronger together. I loved these two together and so enjoyed their story. I can't wait to read more of this series.
I’ve like Dom since the first series Evie Harper wrote, and I like him even more now! He messed up and he admits it, but he’s not going to let that stop him from having the woman he loves, no siree bob!
Della is broken and hell bent on not letting anyone else in. The few men she’s trusted, other than her brothers broke her and left her in pieces, including Dom.
I can’t say it enough; I LOVE this author. Every one of her books has been awesome! She is a fantastic story teller and I look forward to the next book in this series. (Pacer, please let it be pacer)!!! I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars!!!
What a story! Della and Dom's story is highly emotional and once you start there is no stopping. Della is running to protect her family and she is running with the man that betrayed her. Della is suffering and at war with herself because how can she love the man that broke her? Dom betrayed Della but he realised he made the worst decision ever and now he is ready to do whatever it takes to prove his feelings and to protect her. Will he find a way to make her see the truth? Will his protection keep Della safe? With each book this author keep painting such vivid stories! Wow. I am in awe
I read this series a couple of years back and wanted to finish since other books have come out, I'm so glad I did. This is Dom and Della's story and it's unique. Dom falls for the woman he is not supposed to love and one mistake almost ruins it all. Through their love, they find forgiveness and a commitment that is unbreakable.
