Definitely one to be read again!
I received this book for free in exchange for a review.
Generally when I discover I'm reading a series book, I stop and find the first one. This is definitely not a stand alone, to much history between Ally and Luca, also a lot of references of other people and places. While I wasn't reading I found myself thinking about it, which I believe is the sign of good writing!
If you are reading this I recommend starting with book 1, like I'm going to do!

The author put a lot of thought into the story. Family and trust are at the heart of this story. Teaches us how to be part of the human race.

Luca leaves the he island home to find the one he loved...
Allison never doubted she loved Luca, but relationships are about so much more than chemistry and emotions. Luca wanted to make a home on an island without electricity, she wanted her modern job, and to be able to use the internet. In this story each of them struggles to understand how you know when it's real, what fears to face, and which emotional lines to press how hard.
I was gifted with a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review, and it was my first trip into the Shifter Island world. I felt the book stood very well on its own. There were times when it was clear having read previous books would have meant I had more detail, but I never felt lost or like I was missing pieces of the plot puzzle.
The world building in this story was interesting, there were a few new to me ideas with the Shifter nature, and an interesting exploration of part of the culture, both of which added depth to Luca as a character, and gave Allison the opportunity to show just what kind of mate material she is.

Book four in the Shifter Island Series and I have now bought all the books in this series I just could not put it down! Luca came to the mainland years ago and he fell in love with Allison a human , he wanted her to go back to the Island with him but at the time she said no. He has now come looking for her again after his brother Aarron marries his human mate Abby. What he does not know is that Allison no longer lives where he meet her, but with luck she is now back for her friend’s wedding. Will Luca decide to stay on the mainland to be with Allison? Why is he afraid of Colorado ? What makes him sick? Will they get a Happy ending? I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Shifters Island book #4 "Quest" was my first book ever by this new-to-me author, but it won't be my last! I was pleasantly surprised with a unique take on shifters in a great storyline with wonderful, relatable characters that kept me engaged & turning pages! I loved it so much that I just bought the next book #5. So if you're a fan of fiction and especially PNR and shifters, grab all of these books :D

I really liked this tale and am so glad that he finally found his forever. It was nice to see that their love was fated.
