The Author mentions in her note at the end that you'd probably be feeling either turned on or thinking what the hell did I just read.It was definitely a combination of both for me.
I absolutely love this Author and when I saw she'd written a M/M book I abandoned my current read and jumped straight into this one.
I'm not sure if their ages are mentioned or if I just missed it but there is a 16 year old age gap between them.
When they are first introduced by a friend Justin is captivated by the gorgeous,young,geeky,blonde Asher and wants in his pants immediately.Six weeks after meeting the lease is up on Asher's appartment so they decide to become room mates.
Over the years,they develop a great,platonic friendship until one night a line is crossed.
They become fuck buddies and let me say when they get going there's no bloody stopping them.If they're not getting down and dirty they're thinking about it.
Pass the fan because this is a HOT one.....
I didn't read the blurb properly I was too damn excited to read it and thought it was taboo with the whole daddy,boy thing going on.It turns out that's just reserved for the bedroom and some delicious role playing.
Baring in mind this is a short read I actually thought the characters were well developed with some great secondary ones especially Bonez....I hope we get his story
Aside from the sexy times these two are actually quite sweet together.
Would I recommend this....

This one hit all my nerves. And not in a good way.
The Daddy kink is reduced to Asher and Justin calling each other boy and Daddy, respectively. Plus Justin's bossy and 16 years older (44 to Asher's 28).
The initial sex scenes are dirty, but I got bored fast. Asher acts like he's 14. Justin makes huge life decisions without talking to Asher.
Asher cries cause Justin loves him and has a meltdown cause his Daddy is taking him to a fancy restaurant. Asher grew up poor, like below poverty level apparently, and yet the family had enough money so his brothers could play football.
Oh, and Asher would never date a guy who has a kid cause said guy is probably bi, and Asher doesn't do bi. Well, fuck you very much, Asher. Go hop on Daddy's dick and shut the hell up.
The story is told in alternating first-person POV, but Asher and Justin's voices don't sound distinct.
The narration also breaks the "fourth wall," so the characters talk at you, something that drives me crazy even in theater. It has to be done really well for me to enjoy it, and it wasn't done well here.
The writing is ridiculously overwrought:
Rumbles of pleasure that I've never heard a man sound like before battles in his chest like rocks as he fucks me through his rapture.
What the hell does that even mean? If "rumbles" is the subject why do we have a singular verb? Do rocks rumble? And rapture? REALLY? Is he coming to Jesus here or what?
The epilogue is also creepy rather than happy.
Also, telling the social worker to go to hell pretty much guarantees you will never, ever be considered a fit foster parent. Just sayin'.

Nick J Russo and Dorian Bane did a stellar job narrating together on this audio. If you thought the book was hotter, let me just say that the audio surpasses it by 10 times more. Sooooo.....let's talk about this book shall we?
What am I going to get with my purchase?
Well that sounds fantastic! Does it come with anything else?
Really? So what should I expect then?
I can definitely get on board with that. But, is there anything else besides sex?
Let me break it down for you. Asher is in his late twenties (yet sounds and acts like a teenager) and Justin is in his mid forties (and a total caveman). The two have been roommates for three years and fuck buddies for six months, and that's where the book begins. Lots (and LOTS) of fucking and ass play ensues....a switch is flipped, they're in love.....ZOOM.....HEA. Ta da!
There's a heavy dose of Daddy kink here, which I have to be honest...
But everything else...
You get dual POV's (which I love), but they happen to be in first person (which doesn't always work) and unfortunately, it didn't really work here...especially when they break the fourth wall and talk directly to the reader. But you know what? I don't care.
When I picked up this book, I knew what I wanted.....SEX. Did I get what I was looking for?
So, if you find yourself thinking...
This is definitely the book for you. You do you.

Or "Daddy" making life-changing decisions without even talking to his "boy" first.
But that's just me. Everyone else seems to like it. Oh well...

M/M read with a daddy kink? When I saw this on KU I just had to give it a try and I was not disappointed at all! Definitely a hot read that any fan of a good man-on-man story should give a try. The majority of the story was pure smut and heat, but there was still a bit of romance added, and I loved that about it.

This novella started popping up on my feed today. It has daddy kink and was only $0.99, so I thought:
But now I'm here to tell you that I made a rookie mistake, friends - I read the author's note instead of just diving right into the story. Why did I do that? Whyyyyyy?
The author's note starts with a short disclaimer about kink and taboo and being a work of fiction (blah, blah, blah...), then moves on to inform readers that "[i]t has been noted for quite some time that [her] readers have wanted [her] to write an M/M story."
Aw, fuck. In fact, double fuck.
The first "fuck" was for the shameless humble brag, the second was because this new-to-me author is primarily an M/F romance author. Warning bells, right? Well, under normal circumstances I'd back slowly away from this sort of thing (so few M/F to M/M crossover authors do a good job on their first attempt), but the lure of the kink was strong. Too strong, I'm afraid.
So I kept reading. And as I read, I got more confused.
"It's no secret that I don't read many biker books, but I'm a m/m book slut."
Ummm... How are these two things related?
Oooooh! It was just a clunky segue for the author to name drop her other three M/F biker series. Hey! Wait a second... I thought she didn't read a lot of biker books. But she writes them? What kind of fuckery is that? Whatever. You're not reading her M/F biker series, Catherine, don't get sidetracked.
"My readers have been asking for a m/m story for over a year. And since I don't have one planned in the series lineups anytime soon, why not give them a stand-alone now?"
Another humble brag. And such a magnanimous response. This was quickly followed by her name dropping her next release title.
It was all so off-putting.
But... DADDY KINK. So I am going to put that awful author's note behind me and forge ahead. Hopefully she was just saving the good stuff for her story.

This is my first DDlb and I was curious and excited to see the dynamics when it comes to M/M relationship. The kinky part was very light but the hotness was definitely heavy!
I like how Justin was very open with his feelings. He was alpha to the core, choosing to take control of everything. What won me was how he put himself out there and the thing he did for Asher towards the end. My heart was pitter pattering for two different reasons lol!
I adore Asher. He was the loner geeky kind with video games and comic tattoos. He was the opposite of Justin and that made him lovable. Oh, he can bake too. Damn, how much I want to be the fillings for their sandwich :p
As mentioned, the Daddy kink element was light - just name calling. But the sexiness was explosive. And that one scene towards the end... [Insert orgasmic sound]
Unexpectedly, the book was also cute and sweet. But don't worry, I didn't puke rainbows from it lol! I don't usually like epilogue but this one was adorable and even a little sad.
His Boy is a story of two people taking chances in their relationship evolution. It was sweet and scorching, suitable for readers looking for short light kinky read.

I love Bonez and I really hope he'll get his own book especially that he's the kind of man that favor my favorite sexual position lol! :p

When I read the blurb, I just knew I couldn't let this one pass. It sounded all kinds of dirty....and it sure was.
These two men have been roommates for a couple of years and some months ago their relationship changed from being just friends...to being fuckbuddies.
These two go at it like rabbits !!!
I'm pretty sure Ashers butt did in fact hurt :)
The intense fucking is not all they have though....they also share a major kink. They are both into daddy-play. Now I'm not really into reading books about Daddy-kink, but this one was oke. Still made me cringe a couple of times, but I knew what I was getting into before I started reading.
What had me confused however, is that I had no idea what their ages were when I started reading. Maybe I missed it, but all I read was that Justin was 16 years older than Asher. Maybe their ages were mentioned and I missed it, but it bugged the hell out of me.
Now there is a lot of fucking in this book, but there is also love and some romance. Both men are in love with each other and keeping it a secret. Once they figure out how the other feels, they are all in !
There isn't a lot of character development in this book and the storyline is pretty simple, still I enjoyed reading it and it was extremely hot ! 3,5 stars from me ;)

This book was SOOO HOT!!! I didn't expect all that dirty talking and it was just my favorite kind of dirty.
It is the first book written by Bink Cummings that I read, but boy I do want to read another, only if it is MM :D
Well, I loved Justin - being so bossy, and Asher was totally overwhelmed by Justin's attention. I could feel the attraction!
The sex scenes were awesome and I loved the writing!

Oh well... This was sooo disappointing.
Afte reading the blurb I thought this would be the perfect book to satisfy my newly developed craving for Daddy-kink and I quite enjoyed the first half of the book. It has been a solid 3-star rating up to this point. Unfortunatly from there, it went downhill fast.
I wanted to read this book because of the promise of hot sex and I expected a PWP story before starting this book. Therefore I was quite surprised to find an actual story behind all the hot f***ing.
The book begins with a short introduction of the MCs and a pretty hot sex scene between them. I really liked the idea of the MCs moving from a friends-with-benefit-situation into a romantic relationship. Because I wasn't expecting much and didn't take the book too seriously I was able to overlook some expressions that would normally annoy me if repeated too often and other things, like Daddy talking directly to the boy's butt, just made me laugh or roll my eyes.
Asher, the boy, realizes pretty soon that he has developed feelings for Justin, the Daddy, that are deeper than mere friendship. He hides his feelings, though, because Justin doesn't want a romantic relationship - or so Asher thinks. As soon as Justin discovers his own changing feelings for his boy, the whole story becomes pretty unrealistic, annoying, and ridiculous.
What I first considered as sweet became tooth-achingly-sweet, what I thought was hot alpha-male possessiveness became irritating macho behavior to the point where Justin made life-changing decisions without asking Asher. At this point, I lowered my rating to 2 stars.
The epilogue, however, made me lower my rating again mainly for this reason .
Other things I just couldn't agree with .
So although the sex was pretty hot, the book in itself didn't deliver. Had the author decided to stick to a PWP story without trying and failing to make it something different, something more, my rating would have been much higher.

First this was my first novel from your brilliant!Ind. I absolutely loved it. The story was cute, I think that when it leaves me feeling mushy. I started reading and took a chapter to start loving the way to talk to the reader instead of the characters, please don't stop, it adds to the flavor of the your story and characters. I have to admit for the first time ever, I had goosebumps all over me, in this loving feeling story. Don't tell the other Authors, but really it was a first, I hope not the last. Your great, fun, and a wonderful writer, what a joy to read and know (through your books).

'His Boy' is a 120 pages short $1 M/M novel I downloaded on impulse some weeks ago. I wasn't sure, this could easily have been to much erotica for me. — And? — There are for sure a lot of smex and a bit on the naughty side but I fell for the tender romantic sweetness.

This starts as a "friends with benefits" story. Asher, the computer nerd with comic books and superhero tattoos (add glasses), is some years younger (28 and 44) than the macho firefighter Justin. They share household and also secretly more and more often beds and bodies. As a true (?) 'bottom' is Justin's want for "Daddy / boy" playing fitting Asher's need great. These two are so adorable nicely needy, so very heartwrencing longing, always sweet caring and more or less 24-7 hørny. That said without accepting, or telling each other, that this is more. They are of course also romanticly involved without knowing it.
'His Boy' is a heavy on erotic smexy steam, maybe too predictable without being especially noteworthy surprisingly, “You just need to start communicate and talk to each other then everything solves by itself” romance story. No rough D/s or BDSM play though, just nice and tender.

Okay, so if you read the blurb and title, you're probably expecting a seriously smutty, fun read. If you go into it expecting just that, and you read this with a sense of humor, you'll get it. When it was hot, it was smoking hot. What I wasn't a fan of was all the other stuff.
The author warns that this is definitely not a "fluff and flowers" kind of book. I disagree wholeheartedly. It wasn't in the beginning, but it escalated pretty quickly (it's a short read, in the book's defense) into a level of syrupy sweetness that had me cringing at the end. If it was taken down a few notches, I probably would've liked this a lot more.
After reading a decent amount of M/M, I find myself noticing stuff many readers complain about when an M/F author first enters into this genre. The dynamic didn't really feel M/M to me at times, and that's not because of the daddy kink factor. I had several other issues (woo, another stereotype of bisexuals for Bonez.. Yes, Bonez) regarding silly supporting characters. If grammatical issues grind your gears, look out. This book needs the comma police.
If you want fun, sugary sweet, and dirty as hell porn-tasticness, this book delivers in that regard. Not judging- that's why I read it. This author can write the hell out of some smutty scenes. Obviously if the daddy kink stuff squicks you out, stear clear of this; the author is pretty clear about that. It's on KU, so it's certainly worth checking out if that's what you're in the mood for. I was definitely entertained with this one in spite of the bigger things I really wasn't cool with. I do hope this author continues to write M/M and kind of learns the ropes to the genre.

Re-listen AUDIOBOOK: July 2024. An old favorite of mine that I haven’t visited in several years. So happy to experience the first scene again!!
When I first read this, I loved it!!!! Now, listening to it, I love it on a whole different level.
It still has one one my FAVORITE SCENES EVER in a book (the opening scene when Daddy comes home from work and greets his Boy in such a dirty, dirty, and enthusiastic way)!!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Listening to it was just as hot, if not hotter.
There is A LOT OF RIMMING in this book. So, if ass eating and talking to said ass as if it were a real person isn’t your cup of tea, take a pass and have some water instead. Although, why the hell would you? This is so FREAKING HOT!!
The ending leaves much to be desired on my end—abrupt, but with an HEA. That’s the thing that brought this down to 4 stars.
So, audiobook or ebook? I love them both!!

Furthermore, this is not how Daddy is done. There's an art to it. Saying "Daddy" and "my boy" and "mine" continuously without the substance of Daddyness doesn't make it a Daddy read.
Bleh. EXTREMELY repetitive. Boring, bad sex, horribly lame sex talk, and built on poor communication trope.

Of course I had to read this. Daddy-boy dynamics and age-gap without actual incest is an easy trap for me. I got exactly what was offered. Lots of sexy times, dirty talking etc. Was that enough to please me? Nope. Absolutely not.
For a one hand read this is a pleasurable story. That is why I originally wanted to rate this with three stars. It was very hot.
But I can't get over a couple of facts.
I felt this story objectified gay men a bit too far. It actually pulled me out of my reading a few times. The wording was colorful and made me laugh at times when it was supposed to get my juices flowing - not a good sign. The character and story development was inconsistent and foolish, totally unbelievable. An example here: Asher didn't want to spend his money because he was so poor growing up. He didn't go to restaurants or buy new clothes for himself. Ok. Then how come he had fancy tattoos (expensive) and a brand new Harley Davidson (c'mon, those are ridiculously expensive).
The kink itself, daddy-boy dynamics was completely left unexplored. All we got was some dirty talking and couple of words that are pretty annoying when they have no substance: daddy, boy, mine. Also, the constant talk about holes and rimming got a bit boring.
Didn't like how bisexuality was dealt here. One side character was bi and he wanted to fuck hetero (or not so) couples. He basically was into free sex I suppose. Nothing wrong with that. Then we meet this young single dad who identified himself as gay, but our main character considered him bi and didn't want to be with him because of it. He'd feel threatened when he would have competition on both men and women! Just how effin oldfashioned thinking is that?
And now that I get into the ranting, I really dislike the female best friends who keep pushing these young men into the hands of other gay men like it's their right to do so. At one point she even asked if she can GIVE Jake to Bonez when the original target (Asher) wasn't into him. Just nope.
I disliked that Justin (daddy) made all decisions for Asher (boy). Big life altering decisions.
I hated the epilogoue. Absolutely hated it.
So, instead of three stars, I'm giving My Boy two star rating. I'm now thinking if even that is too generous.
Edit: rating dipped to one star. This is not the kind of m/m story I want to read or would recommend. Some parts I get that a first time m/m author would think needed including in a story, but so many parts should not be there if one thinks with open mind and common sence no matter if it is supposed to be erotica.

And now that I get into the ranting, I really dislike the female best friends who keep pushing these young men into the hands of other gay men like it's their right to do so. At one point she even asked if she can GIVE Jake to Bonez when the original target (Asher) wasn't into him. Just nope.
I disliked that Justin (daddy) made all decisions for Asher (boy). Big life altering decisions.
I hated the epilogoue. Absolutely hated it.
So, instead of three stars, I'm giving My Boy two star rating. I'm now thinking if even that is too generous.
Edit: rating dipped to one star. This is not the kind of m/m story I want to read or would recommend. Some parts I get that a first time m/m author would think needed including in a story, but so many parts should not be there if one thinks with open mind and common sence no matter if it is supposed to be erotica.

2.5 stars rounded down because 'still no 1/2 stars here on GR' and if you think I read like a broken record don't sweat it because so do I but 1/2 stars I wants them.
Ok, review to follow soonish...because 'daddy kink' it's on my 'no go' list and I did it anyways so damn straight I'm going to review it but right now I have things that need doing first. Later...seriously I promise we'll talk 'daddy kink'...I just...I can't even believe I did this...honestly I listened to this at least 4 or 5 days ago and it's taken me until now to be willing to admit it...don't judge me, I know...I know I am just one sad little puppy...
Ok, because that gif is so freakin' cute I'm not taking it down and because this is quickly becoming a thing of the past for me. I'm just going to say that I listened to this because...Nick J. Russo and because I felt like stepping outside the box to see what was there and what was there was this book that's suppose to be 'Daddy Kink' and maybe for some people it is and I'm not going to judge because truthfully I know so little about 'Daddy Kink' that I can't even qualify as a rank amateur. However, I am an expert on what I do and don't like and this story fell very solidly into the don't category for me.
So we're chalking this one up to experience and if you looking for something that give better details as to why this doesn't work for me pop on over to GR and check out the reviews by my friends...
