Dr. Yang has done it again. Full of easy to read content. He gives us his exercises that he uses before getting out of bed. But the exercises may also be used for sitting and/or standing. In addition, I like the way he explains the links between qigong, yoga and acupressure. I never understood it all before, but his explanations are really clear. This is a winner! Glad to have it in my reference library.

This book, Meridian Qigong , by (Master) Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming, is very special.

As someone who practises Qigong on a daily basis the exercises that Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming educates us all on in Meridian Qigong are simple and yet powerful and very effective for every body. Many exercises shown in his book I have chosen to add into my daily routine. As a Qigong Instructor I will definitely teach the exercises shown in Meridian Qigong

Whether you are physically fit or have medical conditions of concern, are on medications for pain, heart disease, diabetes, MS, or cancer, to name just a few, or are just stressed out from life, these exercises will help keep you on a path towards health and wellness.

The fact that so many of Meridian Qigong exercises are shown while lying down is wonderful for someone who is recovering from illness or has a hard time getting out of bed. But many of the exercises described in Dr. Yang’s book can be done from a sitting position or even standing. That makes the Meridian Qigong exercises shown very adaptable to any body, any time, anywhere.

After you have learned the exercises, and experienced the benefits for yourself, you will surely want to share with your friends.

The photographs of Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming performing the exercises are very clear in black-and-white. They would've been even that much more wonderful in color and that might be my one and only criticism of the book. The diagrams of meridian points or various parts of the body, muscles and tendons, are some of the best I've ever seen. They are very clear and artistically presented. While great in black and white they would've been spectacular in colour.

What is also unique about the book, Meridian Qigong , is that Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming presents exercises and pictures that are very specific to men. As a woman, I find this interesting and educational.

I hope there will be a part two of this book as I'm sure Dr. Yang, Jwing-Minghas much more to share with us all.

Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming is a Grand Master in his ability to explain the theory of qigong. Meridian Qigong leaves you wanting to investigate this subject on a much deeper level. Meridian Qigong is something you will want to add to your book collection. Definitely.
