Meet the residents of the small town of Coalton, Texas. New, old or returning, everyone loves this close knit community.
Troy Hartford returns home for a visit and is swept up in nostalgia and the enigmatic Veronica Baker in Homecoming.
Sienna Townsend was just passing through when some new friends convinced her that she didn't have to run away anymore; and Kevin Baker is there to ease away the hurt in her heart in Sanctuary.
Stacy and Brad Foster rekindle their dwindling flame in Reawakening.
Nathan Garrett follows his ex fiancé, Camille Pearson back to her hometown to convince her to give him a second chance in Destined.
When Brooke Matthews returns home, she discovers that her childhood friend, Trevor Sinclair has gone from geeky to sexy and he's got his eyes and heart set on her in Irresistible. (Story slightly revamped)
As always Te Russ took me on a journey with these five couples. I loved getting updates on each previous couples in the next books. The characters had depth and so much personality I felt like I was watching a movie. Growing up in a small town in Texas like this one made me reminisce of the Friday night lights, the homecomings, and everyone knows everyone!! It was a great experience and I can’t wait until the next couple hits the scene this week.
I love the fact that there were several stories in one book. How they just flowed into each other(which I prefer) as opposed to going onto another book...Love it! Easy Reading!
I enjoyed every book in this series. It made me feel like I was a part of the town and was cheering everyone on as they went on their new journeys together.
Absolutely loved every single story. The author did a great job with these novellas and weaving the previous stories into each subsequent one flawlessly.
You have to love the community of Coalton. Ms. Stella being such an intricate part. Each couple pulling at your heart. Especially Kevin and Sienna's story. As to overcome domestic abuse and take a chance on love is inspiring. Followed with taking a chance on self and going after your dreams.
Ronnie being the spitfire that she is. Who cannot appreciate a woman who can rotate a tire, fix a flat, replace a engine. She is and was a dynamic woman.
Camille and Nathan's story is just what second chances are made of. You realize that while having a career is important it is also possible to share it with someone. The chemistry between Camille and Nathan was amazing.
Topped off you have Trevor, who doesn't like an intelligent bad boy. He and Brooke are just right. They take the opportunity not to allow love this go around pass them by. I also love the element of the children helping out and seeing them grow as a unit.
I really enjoyed the different stories of Coalton. It felt like you were reading about family. I loved how everyone came together to help someone, regardless of who they were. I would love to read more stories about the people in Coalton.
