The Big Bad Fox
Who's afraid of the Big Bad Fox? No one, it seems.
The fox dreams of being the terror of the barnyard. But no one is intimidated by him, least of all the hens. When he picks a fight with one, he always ends up on the losing end. March 12, 2019E, ovo je jedna od onih ne-tako-čestih knjiga kad stvarno pištite od smeha sve dok vam suze ne krenu na oči. Lisac je potpuni, totalni luzer koji nasedne na vukov plan da izlegnu jaja i pojedu piliće. Možete otprilike da zamislite u kom pravcu se to razvija ako kažem da je iz aviona vidljivo da je ovo pisala osoba sa žestokim iskustvom odgajanja vrlo male dece. I verovatno sa jednako žestokim stažom igranja Angry Birds.
Poseban srcić ide za prevod Darka Macana a najposebniji za usklik "vozi, Miško" na pola knjige, zbog kog sam se zasebno smejala pet minuta.
(Ok, mene je lako zasmejati, da.)

Quelle réussite! J’ai rigolé comme rarement en lisant une BD, et surtout de façon continue page après page. C’est tellement marrant, les dessins sont vraiment excellents et contribuent à rendre cette histoire encore plus drôle qu’elle ne l’est déjà. Une BD qui plaira aux grands comme aux petits, filles ou garçons : c’est le cadeau parfait à offrir.

Dans le cadre du travail ma collègue m’a recommandé ce livre que je trouve formidable, c’est drôle, attachant, plein d’humour et de sarcasme, j’ai vraiment eu de la peine pour ce petit renard. Pour les petits et pour les grands.

Original is in French and now it's in English. Everyone should be scared of the Fox and yet he gets no respect. A wolf encourages him to steal some eggs and hatch them and then he will have a bigger meal when the chicks are bigger. He does and he becomes their momma. The story is about the chicks who all think they are foxes and they like to play they are eating chicks.
There is a lot of funny stuff in this story. The art is only in service to the story. It is not thrilling. The fox simply wanted a decent meal. Is that so much to ask? I love the ending of this story and I think the twists are pretty good. It's a little different story and I like that.
All I have to say is don't mess with the chickens.

Çok, çok eğlenceliydi ya bu. İlaç gibi, terapi gibi. Tavuğun Şahika Koçarslanlı tavırlarına tilkinin çok bariz bir şekilde Buz Devri Sid tavırlarına bayıldım. Hatta sanki Sid'in 'Hanım hanım bunlar benim yavrularım.' cümlesinden yola çıkılarak yazılmış gibi kitap. :D Modum yükseldi. Lol.

Une vraie pépite !! C'est HYPER drôle, j'ai vraiment éclaté de rire à de nombreuses reprises, et c'est aussi super mignon et émouvant, bref un combo gagnant pour une BD sans la moindre fausse note. À garder sous la main en cas de coup de mou, effet euphorisant garanti !

While The Big Bad Fox was likely written for an older audience, it met with the enthusiastic approval of my five-year-old son. I first read it to myself and found it an entertaining book, and then several days later my son asked me to read it aloud to him. He sat enthralled as I read it from cover to cover.

Une BD très sympa qui plaira au plus grand nombre je pense.
Le dessin me plait beaucoup, c'est coloré et les personnages sont très expressifs. Le scénario n'est pas des plus original, mais l'histoire reste très agréable à suivre et c'est bourré d'humour!
Mon perso préféré, le chien "de garde", hem, hem!

Bu bir seri olmalı ve devam etmeli bitmeden. Son zamanlarda bir çizgi romanda bu kadar gülmemiştim. Hem çok eğlenceli hem çizgiler çok iyi hem de hikaye çok güzel. Kısacası her açıdan çok iyi bir çizgi roman. Mutlaka alın ve okuyun.

Loads of fun. From the creator of the animated film "Ernest and Celestine". Probably great to read to kids, if you can tolerate being around kids. I would enjoy it more as a film, but still enjoyed it as a book.

This is such a sweet story! It is one of my favorite graphic middle grade novels so far! The fox is always trying to get to the hens, but those hens are pretty tough. The fox has to come up with a plan! He decides to lure them into the woods by stealing their eggs, only problem is the eggs hatch and the fox has to take care of them now, since their too small to eat yet. Of course the fox starts to have maternal feelings for the lil chicks and they begin to call the fox mommy. Hilarious and adorable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very cute and funny; the wolf convinces the fox to steal eggs from the hens and incubate them, so they will hatch to be fat little chicks; then, the chicks imprint on the fox and chaos ensues when they think the fox is "Mommy" and that they are little foxes. Of course, the fox grows attached and can't eat them, and there are a lot of machinations to avoid consequences from the wolf. Clever and absolutely chock-full of humorous little scenes. This should be a lot of fun for elementary school readers who understand irony. A great little barnyard story.

Een heerlijke graphic over een hopeloze vos die opeens moeder is van kuikens en dat erg leuk vindt (al blijft hij het vaak ontkennen).
Ik had dit boek uit de bibliotheek gehaald want hij leek me erg leuk, ik wist alleen niet precies wat ik moest verwachten, zijn het allemaal losse strips? Is het één verhaal? Ik ben uiteindelijk erg blij met dit boek, ik lag helemaal dubbel, dit is precies mijn soort humor (en niet alleen die van mij, maar ook van mijn verloofde en vrienden).
Ontmoet onze vos, hij is totaal hopeloos. Echt, geloof me, hij kan niks. Hij eet voornamelijk knolletjes of gras want een kip stelen is te moeilijk voor hem. Hij wordt eerder door de kip neergemept dan dat hij een kans maakt op een lekker kippetje. En iedereen laat hem ook echt weten dat hij niks kan, wat ik enerzijds wel zielig vond, maar anderzijds... hij liet nou niet echt merken dat hij wel iets kon.
Hij ontmoet de grote boze wolf, al vond ik hem meer een chagerijnige en stoicijnse wolf, en sluit een deal. De wolf leidt iedereen op de boerderij af, en de vos zal de eitjes stelen. Het lijkt een goed plan en de vos (na wat gepuzzel en verwarring) gaat de eitjes uitbroeden en daarna de kuikens opvoeden. Nou denk je, wauw, toppie plan. Lekkere snacks, zelf gedaan. Maar dan komen de kuikentjes uit... en ze noemen de vos Mama.
En vanaf dat punt werd het verhaal nog doldwazer en nog leuker. Want onze vos komt erachter dat hij in iets goed is. Namelijk... kuikentjes opvoeden. Ik moest af en toe wel lachen want wat een stel zijn de vos en zijn kuikentjes. Hij is erg tsundere over de affecties die hij krijgt van de kuikentjes, maar je ziet dat hij er toch heel blij is ermee en dat hij helemaal blubber wordt van al die liefde. Ik vond het superleuk om te zien hoe hij de kuikentjes opvoeden, al vond ik het hilarisch dat ze op een gegeven moment dachten dat ze vosjes waren... wat later nog flink wat problemen geeft. :P
Ondertussen is moeder kip druk bezig op de boerderij, en ik vond dat ze wel ietsjes overdreef. Ik snap dat ze haar kindjes terug wilt, maar om nou zo stom te doen? Nee. Ze ging veel te ver en ik keek op een gegeven moment met ongemak uit naar de stukjes die over de kip gingen.
Er gebeurd iets rond het einde en tja de vos moet toch even laten zien dat hij niet zo'n watje is als iedereen denkt van hem. Ik vond het heel dapper wat hij deed, al wenste ik wel dat hij wat sneller eerlijk was over dingen.
Het einde was toch wat minder, waarschijnlijk gewoon door de kip, en ook om de kuikentjes. Ik had veel liever een ander einde gezien.
Ik had veel plezier om stukjes van dit boek te lezen terwijl het even wat té druk werd voor me tijdens de biertocht op zaterdag, en ik heb ook zeker gedeeld met mijn verloofde en zijn vrienden want die waren wel nieuwsgierig wat ik aan het lezen was en lachen dubbel om de verschillende stukjes. :)
De tekeningen waren erg leuk. Mooi hoe je meteen de persoonlijkheid van de karakters kon zien aan de tekeningen.
Zeker een aanrader dus. Je zult lachen, huilen, blij zijn voor de vos, juichen, hem aanmoedigen, de wolf proberen weg te jagen. Je moet wel van de soort humor houden, want soms is het toch wel ietwat duister of gemeen (niet zeker of dat het juiste woord is, maar ik gebruik het maar omdat ik even niks beter weet).
