Second chances or just undeniable love. When you find the one at a young age, can you later forgive the mistakes of a teenager? I really enjoyed this book and how the chemistry between Melissa and Robbie would not be denied. Ash seems like the best, protective friend anyone could ask for. A lot of emotion and drama packed into a short read.

My issue with short stories is not getting a feel for the characters. Some books do better than others. I'd give this book a 4 for the steam value. Most of the sex scenes are very hot with one or 2 being awkard. I however would give character development a 1. I'm just not feeling them or their connection.

Now years later while on spring break they run into each other. The pain of the past brings them together for one night. Robbie comes clean about his past choices.

The control shown from the man borders on abusive and turned me off.
Carly has been hot for her boss and with them now on a vacation she is taking the chance to show him. She thinks he would be soft in the bed and plans to show how hot it can be. He surprises her with how hot he can be.

A really hot read.

What's better than a collection of hot and sexy reads for some summertime fun, you ask? Nothing! And, so, how lucky that a group of talented authors have come together to give us just that. The FEEL THE HEAT summer anthology is filled with fifteen perfect-for-summer reads guaranteed to raise your temperature and keep you swooning.
For the sake of space, I'm reviewing just a couple of the stories here, but I highly recommend this whole anthology.
ROCK, RATTLE, & ROLL (Lost In Oblivion 1.5) by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott:
Life with a rockstar can be non-stop action, and, when you add in the craziness of starting your own business, well, things just get even more hectic. Since the beginning of their whirlwind relationship and ensuing marriage, Deacon and Harper McCoy have barely had time to catch their breath, or any privacy to do so. But something's got to give, so Deac is whisking his lovely bride away for some R&R, filled with sun, sand, and, oh, yes, plenty of that.
The days and nights in beautiful Galveston, TX, are just what the doctor ordered, and Deacon and Harper are finally able to enjoy their honeymoon and much-needed couple time. But these two have never taken anything slowly, and when Harper realizes that life is about to change again, and in a very permanent way, she and Deacon will have to make some decisions that will affect every part of their relationship.
I love this series, and every character in it. Cari and Taryn are two of my favorite authors, and they always make me feel like I'm coming to hang out with friends when I open one of their books. The Lost In Oblivion books are ones that I inhale from the first page every single time, and am completely invested in. As the follow-up to SEDUCED, the first book in the LOI series, ROCK, RATTLE, & ROLL is the perfect little read to keep us up to date with the lives of these characters. I highly recommend the whole series, which is not to be missed.

When her company was bought out, her new boss insisted on taking everyone on a retreat to Hawaii, where the woo woo factor is more than Felicia can take. And, well, if that includes some very personal lessons, even better.
So, if you're looking for a beach read that will keep you entertained, but that will definitely not cool you down, snag your copy of FEEL THE HEAT. With fifteen different stories, there's something for everyone.

Three of my favorite authors, Jennifer Dawson, Molly McLain, and Zoe York, in one anthology...yes, please! I love anthologies because they are great for discovering new authors. I loved the stories I've read this far.
Wanted by Evelyn Adams was a refreshing read about a couple navigating their way through the first few months of parenthood while juggling demanding jobs. Ms. Adams is a new author to me, and I really enjoyed her writing. This was a refreshingly honest story about a new, breastfeeding mom who is trying to figure out how to get it all done. She struggles with wanting to be with her daughter and keep up a successful business. Her husband wants to help reassure her and get some rest, so he whisks her away for a few sexy days in Hawaii to focus on them. I've always wanted to visit Hawaii, and one of the reasons I love books is to visit places I've never been. It was clear that this was the continuation of Luke and Claire's story, but Ms. Adams did a great job of filling in the blanks. Now, I want to read their story from the beginning.
The Walk of Shame by Jennifer Dawson was an awesome read about a secondary character from the Undone series. Ashley is the girl you party with but don't let near any guy you're interested in because she'll hook up with them. In this story we see Ashley's vulnerability as she deals with the marriage of the man she's loved and slept with for years. He always said he couldn't commit, but he committed quickly to a dancer after stringing Ashley along for years. We learn that Ashley's random hook-ups were a way to forget about her lost love. She has an epiphany on the walk home from her last one night stand that she needs to learn to love herself instead of looking for validation in men. As her first act of independence, she decides to take a solo vacation. She happens to pick the same resort as her one-night stand, Christopher, who is interested in getting to know Ashley, just as she's sworn off men. We get to watch Christopher patiently try to break down Ashley's defenses as he convinces her that fate has brought them together. This book was a sweet and sexy love story set in a tropical paradise.
Can't Hold Back by Molly McLain is another week in paradise story only this time it's the honeymoon of two characters from the River Bend series (which is awesome if you haven't read it). Dan and Maddie are ready for some alone time after the stress of planning their wedding. Maddie wants Dan to take charge in the bedroom but is afraid to push him and upset their rhythm. She decides to take the risk, and her husband is more than willing to comply.
Cherished by the Seal by Zoe York is one of my favorite tropes, childhood friends to lovers. This one had the twist of Tori being left at the altar and going on her honeymoon with her best friend, Logan, who has been in love with her for years. It was tearing him apart to see her marry someone else, and when her groom walks out on her, he decides it's time that she knows how her feels. He has one week on the Caribbean island of Miralinda to show her how great they could be together. Ms. York has set a couple of her Seals Undone stories on Miralinda, and Logan is another Seal determined to get his girl. I loved the romantic, tropical setting and the sexy coupling of these two longtime friends.

This is a set of 15 short novellas. Wanted by Evelyn Adams is a sweet novella about trials and tribulations of Like and Claire after they married and have a daughter. This novella is sweet, romantic, with drama. The characters are realistic with raw emotions. Over It by Christina Bell is a steamy sexy novella that when a spring break trip brings them face to face again, she can't help trying to exact a little revenge. The storyline is sweet, sexy and realistic characters. I loved reading this novella. Singapore Fling is about Carly who has been lusting over her boss for months and while on a business trip suggest a fling. This novella is funny, sexy and steamy. Mad about Meg is about a women named Meg who has never been lucky in love until she met him.. The novella is sweet, romantic and a fun read. I loved this one. Beach Blanket Bridesmaid is about Ava who wants a wild island fling with her brothers best friend. This is sweet, sexy, romantic with realistic characters. I loved this one too. The walk of shame by Jennifer Dawson a novella about a vow of celibacy and a trio t Belize. This novella is sweet, funny, and romantic l. I loved this one. Yours to take is a novella about giving yourself to someone with total and utter submission. This novella is very hot, sexy, and domineering. Playing doctor is about a workaholic at a company retreat who meets the island doctor. A sweet, romantic story. Can't Hold Back is about revealing your secret desires to your husband. This novella is hot, sexy and steamy. Rock, Rattle & Roll is about a rockstar at a beachfront cottage. This novella is sexy, steamy and unexpected surprises. Billionaire Beach Bum is a novella about Hayley and Logan who must rely on eachother to survive. This novella is sweet, romantic and funny. I really liked this book. The Billionaire's Beach House is about being stranded in Paradise. It is hot and steamy. Ship Wrecked is a short novella is about a women who is supposed to be working weekend and warding off snarly men. This book is funny, sweet and sexy. Cherised by the Seal is about a island honeymoon without a groom. This novella is sweet, romantic, sexy, funny with realistic characters. I love this book. Each novella has its own unique style and custom of drawing you in. I recommend reading these novellas as you will not be disappointed. I received a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

Never read Evelyn Adams, but I’ll be sure to pick up Wired, Wanton and Won to see where it all began!
Yours to Take by Cathryn Fox… A nice quick HOT read. Rebecca is whisked away to Quinn’s private estate where he coaxes out the submissive in her. Steamy and saucy with a touch of sweet!
Playing Doctor by Allison Gatta… Rather enjoyed this story about Felicia, a workaholic on a company retreat, and Trey, the island doctor who treats her both physically and emotionally throughout her stay. A refreshing summer read will certainly be looking more into this author’s stories.
Can't Hold Back by Molly McLain… Talk about refreshing. Maddie and Dan are on their honeymoon, and she’s having a few issues expressing her secret desires to her husband. Her few failed attempts at provoking him nearly end their marriage before it’s begun. Loved this. Loved the message about communicating between the couple, especially if it’s about their physical relationship.
Cherished by the SEAL by Zoe York… I am a huge fan of Zoe York’s books, but I’ll try to limit my review. Logan has just witnessed his best friend, Victoria, get dumped on her wedding day, and volunteers to spend her “honeymoon” with her. We’ve read that plot before, friends to lovers, one has the hots and the other is oblivious, etc. But what Zoe has produced went far beyond my expectation. Often times a drunken night of debauchery forces the couple to re-examine their affection for one another. Nope, this had the slow build. Logan was an honest hero, dropping hints along the way “I don’t think of you as my sister. I never have, and never will.” And you could really feel the shift in their relationship, but yet still see a strong foundation that brought them together. The best part was, I never felt like I wanted to slap Victoria in the back of the head and shout “Get a frikkin clue”. Nope, she honestly needed to see it herself, and was quick to figure out this revelation. Kudos to you Ms. York – you’ve outdone yourself!

Feel the Heat – A summer Anthology : I just love these mini stories that you can get into and then finish in one setting. Enough to wet your whistle but not get bored with in the long run.

I know that these are all Novellas – but OMG, it may have been short and sweet but it was definitely an amazing story!!! Definitely one of those, start and finish it in one setting – thank goodness it was a Novella!!!

Wow – talk about hot and steamy sex scenes, which is primarily what Singapore Fling is about. It’s hard to write a review about a Novella without giving away the story totally. But – this one is definitely one that will keep you interested from start to finish.

What do you do when two people are attracted to each other – but afraid that the other isn’t that interested in them? I can’t give the story away – but that is what Ava is going through with her older brother’s best friend, Grant.

How can you go wrong when at least 3 of your favorite authors appear in this anthology?! I love Cari Quinn, Taryn Elliot and Zoe York. So when I saw they were in this anthology, I had to pick it up. Of course, I read them first and will finish reading.
Rock, Rattle and Roll by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot is about two characters in their Oblivion series. Harper and Deacon finally get some time away from the band and her job to take a honeymoon. They head out for a week of alone time and it is seriously HOT. Harper can't get enough of Deacon. They've never had a problem in that area before, but it seems like she's more insatiable than ever. Of course, Harper finds out some news that can change the course of their relationship and it seems that communication is an area that could use some improvement for them. I love Deacon's protectiveness and his love of all things Harper. This is equally HOT and sweet at the same time.
Cherished by Zoe York is AWESOME! Logan and Tori have been friends since they were little and Logan has been crushing on her almost as long. Unfortunately, they never acted on it and stayed in the best friend zone. Tori is now getting married to Stephen and Logan (a SEAL) is her man of honor on this special day. Stephen dumps her the day of and Logan and Tori decide to take the honeymoon together. Logan plans to be the shoulder Tori needs to cry on. Logan is tortured by how hot Tori looks and she has no idea what he's feeling towards her until one day while hanging out under the waterfall. Will Logan get this relationship out of the friend zone or will he lose everything by telling her his true feelings? This story kept me on the edge of my seat and while I was seriously sad to see it end, I'm thrilled to hear that this story will continue.

WOW, just wow. I was gifted a copy of this phenomenal book by the incomparable Ms. Molly McLain, and today is release day for this phenomenal book and I wanted to post at least a partial review on its book birthday! Two of my top 5 favorite authors have releases in this book, Can’t Hold Back by Molly McLain and Cherished by the SEAL by the just as fabulous, Zoe York. These two authors have written wonderful, thoughtful, loving stories, I do not think they know how to do otherwise.
Can’t Hold Back is another wonderful story from her River Bend series. Dan and Maddie are so in love. They are on their honeymoon, and can’t get enough of each other, but something is bothering Maddie, but Dan cannot figure out what. Maddie is getting frustrated, she is afraid to tell Dan what is wrong, afraid he might walk away if she tells him. This is a wonderfully well written book of newlyweds working out the first days of marriage.
Cherished by the SEAL, wonderful story of best friends to lovers. Victoria ‘Tori’ Fletcher and Logan Dwyer have been best friends since grade school, and Logan is watching with a cracked heart, Tori get ready to walk down the aisle with another man. Wow, what a great line up of authors in this contemporary romance anthology. I love these small size novellas when I'm between books and there are quite a few authors I like to read in this particular anthology.
Two of my favorite authors have an entry in this titled Rock, Rattle, & Roll by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn
I adore the Lost in Oblivion series and this is one of my favorites. In Rock, Rattle & Roll, Deacon and Harper sneak away from their work obligations to have a quick honeymoon, only to find that they are facing the next turning point in their journey together.
I liked this one, although I wanted to smack Harper a few times for not going to Deacon with her concerns. But then I thought that’s part of being newly married and I tried not to be too hard on her! They definitely have some unexpected challenges which they deal with it in a way that ended up making me smile. And of course, there’s plenty of naked time for both!
Review of Over It by Christine Bell
In this second chance romance, Melissa and her friend Ashlynn escape to the beach for Spring Break, only to find Melissa's ex in the same location to fight a boxing match. It brings back lots of good and bad memories for both of them. It's touch and go whether Melissa will give Robbie a second chance, but when the truth comes out, her answer is clear. I liked this story and it's connection to the Bell's McDaniels brothers series.
Overall, this is a great read to take to the beach, full of novellas that are just the right size to devour. Great value at a great price.

I liked this one, although I wanted to smack Harper a few times for not going to Deacon with her concerns. But then I thought that’s part of being newly married and I tried not to be too hard on her! They definitely have some unexpected challenges which they deal with it in a way that ended up making me smile. And of course, there’s plenty of naked time for both!
Review of Over It by Christine Bell
In this second chance romance, Melissa and her friend Ashlynn escape to the beach for Spring Break, only to find Melissa's ex in the same location to fight a boxing match. It brings back lots of good and bad memories for both of them. It's touch and go whether Melissa will give Robbie a second chance, but when the truth comes out, her answer is clear. I liked this story and it's connection to the Bell's McDaniels brothers series.
Overall, this is a great read to take to the beach, full of novellas that are just the right size to devour. Great value at a great price.

After reading the first chapter, I was already hesistant to continue because I felt that the story was too heavy for a summer-themed book. I never expected that this kind of story will be included in this kind of book. But still I continued, and glad that I did because it's an inspiring story for all first-timers there and I somehow relate with what Claire was going through. I am a working mom and I get so sad everytime my daughter had her every firsts without me.
Anyways, I really enjoyed this book and I'll definitely read their story after this.
•Billionaire's Beach House
This is a short story but filled with thrilling, hot and sweet events. You'll never get bored reading it. You'll never feel that the story was rushed and you could almost feel that their feelings were real. I would really loved to know how Brit and Eli met at the bar and how their romance will be at the city with their billionaire friends.
•Ship Wrecked
I thought this was a love story developed after a ship was wrecked. But, I thought wrong! This was a love story developed during a work-related vacation. Even though they just had a short time, as they say it; sometimes, you'll just know.
I loved Delilah! Her angst, humor and being a damsel-in-distress was just so cute. I really wanted to know how she got that community service sentence and how their romance will play out after that hot and sweet vacation. And that note! Oh! How I really loved to witness that to happen.

After the happy ending
Good add on story to an existing story with a HEA. But I bet it would have been much better had I read the original story. It’s always fun to read what happens after a couple gets their HEA of getting together. No life is perfect and this story shows the trials that come after a couple does get together. Well written and enjoyable to read.

This is so awesome and funny
I couldn’t stop reading once I started. The characters had me hooked and I laughed till I cried. The funny one or two liners and then the Hot guy who just blend in with her is Delilah and who he turns out to be. Delilah is a hot and smart woman working in a man’s world. She can’t go to a bar without guys hitting on her so she comes up with great ways to detour them. I do hope the author writes more with this couple in it. But this is a self-contained story. Awesome, well written and extremely entertaining to read.

This is an anthology you will WANT TO PICK UP. I only knew of (aka, have read at least 2 of their books, unless your name is Zoe or Molly) 5 of the authors, and I was blown away by the ones I didn't know. Evelyn Adams, in example. She has the first short story in this anthology and I was gripped by the emotions of Claire, and the love Luke had for her. I was sucked in from the first chapter, and I had no clue who Claire and Luke were. Needless to say, I plan on going back and reading their story, because their "after HEA" absolutely impressed me. Zoe and Molly never fail to impress me with their abilities to write phenomenal short stories and novellas, without the reader feeling jilted on some point. Christine Bell first impressed me with Fix You, so reading her addition to those story had me excited to read more of her. And then Cathryn Fox makes me laugh with her characters' antics, so I knew her part of this anthology was going to be a winner.
If you're looking for fun, short summer reads, definitely pick this up--you get 14 well written, character driven stories with enough emotion to leave you with a slight emotional hangover when all is said and done.. This is another summer anthology hit. I loved each of the stories. They were short enough that I could quickly read one each time I had a moment to sit. Each story was by a different author. We had everything from Claire and Luke, from Evelyn Adams For the Billionaire's Pleasure series, and their life after the birth of their daughter, to Zoe York's story about a friendship between Navy Seal - Logan and Tori, an unrequited love story connected to the Caribbean Nights series. Each story takes us to a romantic sunny beach location, and each is a love story full of romance, misunderstandings and true love, along with some erotic bits. They are all stories that fill the heart and make you believe in a forever love. Each is well written from a different perspective, some related to stories written by the author but all stand alones in their own right.
I loved all of them. It was a special collection, and being a fan of Evelyn Adams, I was interested in seeing who would be included in an anthology in which her story would appear. I was not disappointed. Each story was full of feels, some bringing me to tears. The romance was sweet and the sex was hot. Seeing the results of relationships like Claire and Luke's culminating into something even more powerful made it all worth the read. And each story was a little romantic mini vacation for the heart and soul.

I received a copy of Feel the Heat - a Summer Anthology for an honest review and I wasn't quite sure how I was going to like it. I wasn't familiar with the authors of Feel the Heat at all. So, here goes:
This is an anthology of several short stories / novellas that, for the most part, were quite enjoyable. The beauty of an anthology like this is that it can introduce you to and open you up to new authors and their writing styles that you might not have experienced otherwise.
I am happy to say that a few of the stories intrigued me enough that I have looked at some of their other work to download and read. Two of my favorites were Wanted and Over It. When an author grabs you and drags you into the life of a character to the point that you feel totally invested and are left with the ultimate book hangover when you finish the story - that is an author I definitely want more of.
Want something to read over the summer as you lay on the beach or lounge by the pool? Grab a copy of Feel the Heat and take in each story as you relax on your towel or beach chair catching some rays. You will thank me. Remember to reapply your sunscreen in between each story.

15 great novellas in one book. Every heroine in this anthology is great, but all so different. Ava Jordan of Beach Blanket Bridesmaid has lusted after her brother's best friend Grant for years. A year ago they finally hook up for one night, then he slinks off. Now her brother is getting married, she is the only bridesmaid, and Grant is the only groomsman. He finally seems interested in her but can she trust him. I loved how they had always been attracted to each other, but because of their circumstances didn't think a relationship would work. She's been struggling financially, caring for her grandmother, and he travels all over the world. Several stories in this anthology were about newly married couples, dealing with unexpected turns in their life. The men were so loving and tender, and wanting to do anything to help heal their wives worries. Quite a few stories are about couples who finally have a chance after hiding their feelings for each other. Let me just say the sex scenes in these stories are hot and the men yummy.

When Rebecca accepts an invitation to an exclusive island resort the last person she expects to see is Quinn. He is a multi-millionaire CEO who she took down in court, but here on the island he is going to make sure that Rebecca knows who is in charge in and out of the bedroom.
Cherished By The SEAL by Zoe York is about two best friends who find out after one is jilted at the marriage alter that they've had feelings for one another for years that they've kept hidden until now.

Reviewing “Beach Blanket Bridesmaid “ as representative of this boxed set.
Ava Jordan is on her way to Antigua, maid of honor in her brother’s “destination wedding”. Grant Porter, Seth’s best friend, is the best man – whom she would love to avoid. But the likelihood of that was slim. Grant had left her without a word after they shared one fabulous, sexy night together and they had avoided each other since then.
The first sign of a problem was a summons by the wedding coordinator. Ava’s dress had been lost on the flight! And the bride’s cheerful suggestion was that Ava should go shopping on the island with Grant so that he could match his tie to her replacement dress! Spending the day shopping with her would be torture for Grant. As for Ava, she missed the friendship they used to share. And she had always desired him. So she finally set out to seduce him!
This was a cute story and perfect for reading on the beach! Very enjoyable! I highly recommend the collection based on the few I have read so far. I don’t think you can go wrong with these.

I've only read Jen Dawson's short so this is a rating for that lol I will get to the other stories later but ANYWAY
when I saw that it's about Ashley I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat. I admit I wasn't very interested in her mainly because we only got like 5 minutes of her in the books and she didn't catch my eye but mannnnn I didn't expect to love her this much. I really love that we get to know her story and her hopes and dreams, and to get to know her personally as opposed to through Layla's or Ruby's narrative.
and HELLO CHRISTOPHER FELLOWS. We also got like 5 mins of him in Ruby and Chad's book; I didn't pay much attention to him because I was too busy being hung up on Chad and Christopher's older brother Cameron *cue swoony sighs* but duuuuuuuuuuude, little brother has moves. His determination to win Ashley over is a force to be reckoned with.
HOW I WISH THIS WAS A FULL LENGTH NOVEL BUT ANYWAY
I'm down for Cameron's book anytime now, Ms. Dawson HINT HINT. ANYYYYYTIME NOW.

I enjoyed this book, although I had not read the previous books in this series. I related to the feeling of the characters of how life changes after you have a baby.
Over It - 5 Stars
Complete tear jerker! I loved this story, of lost love rekindled. It really touched my heart.
Singapore Fling - 3 Stars
Definitely a hot factor, but very poor in character development. I wish there was more of a storyline associated with it.

My favorite story by far. I absolutely loved this story! I hope the author plans on expanding on this series, because I will buy all of these books. This book had me laughing out loud! I loved the characters and the storyline.

A selection of summer stories that gives something for everyone. Humor, sex, romance, friendships.. All in various combinations.
I kept imaging I was reading these while sitting on the beach in a lounge chair, sun baking me. The stories all feel that's where they are meant to be read. I actually was only familiar with one of these authors before I read the anthology, so I was blessed to be introduced to a lot of new friends. There were two stories I could not read past chapter three, others that I devoured trying to get the whole story. I will definitely be looking up these authors again. Like any good collection of short stories there is a central theme, summer romance, but each gem is a gift in itself.

This review is for Can't Hold Back by Molly McLain and Singapore Fling by Rhian Cahill.
Can't Hold Back is the story of Dan and Maddie's honeymoon. We first met them in Can't Shake You as secondary characters and now they have their own story! This novella is short and sexy and has me glued to my kindle!
Singapore Fling- I always know that I am going to read a hot book when I read one of Rhian's books and this was no exception. Carly and Saxon have some combustible chemistry! I loved their story and I think you will too!
All of the others stories were good too and definitely worth the 99 cents!
Can't Hold Back is the story of Dan and Maddie's honeymoon. We first met them in Can't Shake You as secondary characters and now they have their own story! This novella is short and sexy and has me glued to my kindle!
Singapore Fling- I always know that I am going to read a hot book when I read one of Rhian's books and this was no exception. Carly and Saxon have some combustible chemistry! I loved their story and I think you will too!

I Received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I loved this whole boxed set each story had things that sucked me into the story and left me wanting more.
However I loved Molly Mclain's Can't Hold Back I fell in love with Molly's writing in Can't Shake You. She makes you feel like you are part of the story and that you cannot get enough of the characters.
The Billionaires Beach House by Gina Robinson Sucked me in from the get go, the characters were awesome and the chemistry was explosive. I have yet to read anything by Gina that I have yet to love.
I Have discovered some new to me authors in this Anthology that I look forward to reading more of.
